In the summer my dad said we were going to the carnival I was so excited, we went to get the tickets from the store. The next morning we were ready to go me my dad my sister and our cousin all went when we got there we gave the tickets to the women and she gave us a bracelet and we were good to go we took pitcher with the animal and the rides and id was so fun. First we went on the roller-coaster and it was scary and fun at the same time then we bought some snack and continue are advancer. At the carnival all the rids were awesome and scary in this one rid we went all the way up
into the sky and it was scary and when we were all the way up into the air my tummy tickled and when I got on it again one boy almost fell then they stopped it then they tolled every one not to site in that seat again and so they went on and no one ever sat on that seat again. When the was out it was really hot you can burn a paper on the side of the rode that’s how hot it was wanted to go to the pool I went on the rides over and over again then I felt dizzy and wanted to throw up and so I did in the boys bathroom when I was done I felt all better. Then I was thirsty so I went to the waterfontin and took a drink then I was not thirsty any more. There were a lot of people when we got there they were all running around and having fun and there were all lowed some of them were quiet and they were all making a line to go to the rides. There were to many people in line So I went to a different ride and when I can out of that ride the same people were still in line they were slowly moving one by one like a turtle would. When it was dark outside the light came on and everyone went to see Jason Drewlow ]most of the people were there but some were on the roller-coaster and all that stuff when the concert was over I thirsty again then my dad Sid I have to wait in till we get home when we got home I went to take a drink as fast as I can the I went to sleep then I said to myself this was the best day ever.
When I was about 10 years old, my mom took me to a roller coaster theme park in Massachusetts. I was terribly afraid of the huge roller coaster that appeared in front of me, and while I waited in line, the anxiety of waiting to die in a roller coaster made my heart beat through my chest. The huge coaster went up and down and up and down, and even though my mom continuously asked me if I was sure that I wanted to go, I repeatedly said yes. I wanted to make it clear that I was a man, not a crying baby. Stepping onto that roller coaster was what I remember the most.
After we got tired of the pool me and my family started to head to the beach. So as we walked we noticed an amazing shell so we went and picked it up and there was a snail inside of it. It jumped out of its shell at my dad and scared us to death. After that we set it back free in the ocean, the we went and played around in the amazing water. My mom and my grand ma went to go and get lunch from the beach side café. They had the best food on the beach, we all ate our lunch and were stuffed
On the way to camp Kangaroobie we went to Mr Mcguane’s farm. The year 5 bus broke down so we came late. When we got there, we walked around this little river skipping rocks and getting stuck in the mud. When we arrived at camp, went to our cabins, and I was with, Emily, Felicia, Sarah, Grace and Klara, we packed our bag and went for a walk down to the beach! It was really fun because we went across rivers and walked through the sand dunes! When we got there, we jumped off and slid down the sand
The sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area. The scent of delicious buttery popcorn and glazed turkey legs that go on for miles and miles. The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment. When people come in, their imaginations become reality. The name describes itself perfectly. Walt Disney World is the place of dreams and imagination. People come from all around the world to see the rides, characters, food and the entertainment of Walt Disney World. I remember when I went to Disney World this past March. It was the third time I have gone to Disney World. To see the amazement and the expectation of the
One day my mom and dad took me and my sister to California to visit my oldest brother. When we got there my brother picked us up and took us to eat then after that he took us to his house. The third day some of my brothers friends invited him to do laser tagging with us. My brother said yes and it was like a seventeen minute drive but we got there like at 10:00 pm. The place was pretty big and it was called laser X it had a big light up X in the front and lasers pointing up. We walked inside and it smelled like all arcades do and to the right you would see a pool table and arcade games.
We had finally done it! We were good enough to play on stage. We had practice so long for the concert. We could play the Christmas songs we practiced for in front of our parents.
As the sound of the announcer calling our team roughly breaks the calm silence of the busy Ann Arbor lake, the light click of our oar locks can be heard as the four of us squares our blades in the green-blue water together. In the shallow water, the sight of brown algae snaking along the bottom and the peeling black and yellow paint on the end of our oars welcomes our eyes. We sit relaxed in the black carbon fiber shell of the Camilla, our sharp eyes analyzing every movement of the other boats while the sun’s scorching rays beat down on our tan shoulders and the reflective surface of the still lake. As we wait for the race to begin, the aroma
After the ceremony, we head out to the venue at the Chamber of Commerce. I headed in the room and saw golds, different shades of green and purple, masks all around, I knew my Mardi Gras theme came to life. I hear the music playing in the background while the DJ announced my name making my grand entrance. Typically at this time, I danced the waltz with my court of honor, this is made up by fifteen boys and fifteen girls of my closest friends and cousins and a young man of my choosing to be my escort. I could feel all eyes and attention were on me. Butterflies take over my stomach as I told myself, " I have been practicing this waltz for weeks I know every step so there is nothing to be nervous about." The music begins and the crowd roars and
We were traveling thought all the beautiful places and cities in the country. During our vacation, one day we stopped at a restaurant in a small town. As we were eating, my 16-year-old cousin said to me hurry up, finish your meal and we’ll go play outside. I was a little boy just turned six years. I was excited to go play outside with my cousin, so I was the first one to finish with my meal.
On that fateful day in March, I was a couple months shy of my third birthday. My family and I lived in New Mexico at the time and were renting a house with an outdoor in-ground pool. The day was beautiful. I was outside with my oldest sister Rachel and my father. Rachel was diligently reading curled up on a bench that sat against the house, and my father was mowing the backyard. My mother and my other sister were in the house. Off to one side of the house there was a group of large bushes. I was playing over there with one of her large cooking pots, off in my own little world. At one point while amusing and en...
As we drove towards the fair I looked down at my arms and they were covered with rigid goosebumps. My legs were shaking and I could not get them to stop. A trip to the State Fair was not how I wanted to spend my 7th Birthday, but I didn’t really have any choice. I couldn’t tell anyone I was afraid of fair rides or that I have never rode any before that would be an embarrassing conversation. Every 10 seconds we would run over a puddle of water in the road and it would splash up on the tinted windows. Every time it happens I jump; I am really on edge. We were getting closer to the Fair and I could see the tallest and scariest ride there. I watched it travel back and forth, every time it gained more momentum until it went around in a full circle. I knew they would make me ride it even if I was throwing up they would still drag me on.
Today was the day, months and months of practice and rehearsals leading up to today. The advice my mom had given me still running through my head, whatever happens it's part of the show, the audience does not exist, live the show. I was ready, as the opening music number was just starting up i walked on to the stage and the show began!
I have always been fascinated by carnival rides. It amazes me that average, ordinary people eagerly trade in the serenity of the ground for the chance to be tossed through the air like vegetables in a food processor. It amazes me that at some time in history someone thought that people would enjoy this, and that person invented what must have been the first of these terrifying machines. For me, it is precisely the thrill and excitement of having survived the ride that keeps me coming back for more.
Then, something happened, something just clicked and I started to enjoy the ride not be scared of it. I started to laugh and stick my hands up and my aunt looked happy as well. We went everywhere. We twisted and turned and looped upside down, it was so much fun! We got off after going for what seemed like nothing it seemed like time had stopped while we were on there then Snap! Just like that we pulled into the station and the seats opened as we slowly got
Ever since I was about six years old, I wanted in the worst way to go to Disneyland. I would hope every year that my parents would chose Disneyland as our next family vacation destination. I dreamt of the day I would come back from Disneyland with exciting tales of adventure and a pair of sparkly, ruby red and black Minnie Mouse ears of my very own that would be the envy of every kid in my elementary class. Once I finally went to Disneyland, it was amazing; Disneyland was everything I had expected and more. However, a couple years later when I returned to Disneyland, it was different. The rides, buildings, and everything in the park did not have the same allure. The magic I had experienced as a child was no longer there.
