I come back from school to find boxes from outside the garage, I stumbled up the stairs just predicting that my parents were donating them to some shelter. Strolling to my bedroom, I find everything packed in bubble wrap and stored in boxes. Footsteps began to approach my door, I quickly take a coat hanger and hide in the corner of my closet, a man comes into my bedroom, he’s dressed in baggy jeans and he's very muscular. He begins to search for objects that he can take, the man finds my laptop, he grasps it and begins to proceed down stairs. After trembling for the past ten minutes, my mom hollers for me. “ Leila, are you in here, your backpack is down stairs.” I open my closet door and flee to my mother's arms, I pull her so close to me that …show more content…
“ Honey-” she pulls me in a tight hug “ -there here because we are moving, me and daddy where going to wait and tell you last minute because we didn’t want you to be upset” “ what were you gonna do? Just say we are leaving without letting my friends know!” I sobbed. “Get ready and meet us downstairs,” she sang. In confusion, I looked from my back patio and found all my friends and family members outside waiting for me. In excitement, I ran to my bathroom and fix my hair and makeup and dashed for the back door. “Hi guy-” My friends tug and pull on me, telling me how much they are going to miss me. My friends and I spent the night and talked about the new house we are going to live in, then we watched our childhood movie, “Sharkboy and Lavagirl.” All of us begin to doze off and fall a sleep, I have a dream, the dream was me at the beach with a bunch of people hurtling over me. The people kept hovering me with cameras and asking for my photograph. I wake up from my dream startled. In the morning, my mom wakes us up and tells my friends it time to leave. “ Good bye Leilia, we will visit you soon!” they waved goodbye. “ You promise?” I
one by one, we all piled in to the living room and thankfully my mom
I raced home through the dark eerie feeling sunset. Once I got home I ran to my room which is the last room in
I can see the light of the lamp inside his room leaking out the bottom of the door, it made it look as if there was a fire raging on the other side. Walking down the long hall I can hear the faint sound of someone who seems to be placing back and forth in my brothers room. I get to the door and I twist the gold handle but the door was locked, I kept trying to twist it but the door would not open. I could hear footsteps scrambling around in the room. I hit the door with my shoulder and it busts open, but I stood there in the room alone looking around thinking I would find someone hiding. I hear a sound come from the closet, I go over the the door and put my head up the cold wood of the closet door to see if i could hear anything, I hear slow steady breathing. My heart is beating so fast i think it is going come out of my chest as I wrap my hand over the door knob and swing the door open as fast as I can to find snow jackets hanging in the closet.I let out a large sigh of relief and I turn around to see my brother standing in front of my wiht a large cleaver in his right hand and a rusty old pitchfork in the other, I stand there
"If this is what you really want, then you should have no problem leaving this house...for good." He said. I gasped.
So I quickly get on all my clothes grab my bag and I ran down the stairs as fast as lightning.
“What?” I mumbled back as I stretched out.”Oh, we’re here… I miss Ohio already.” I said in a grumpy voice back.
The bass of the music was strong it was shaking my walls and made buzz, and boom sounds like it was trying to break through and get me. It’s around 11:43 pm now the music is still kicking. I hear the lock on the front door, go click click then err the door opens, I heard footsteps, after footsteps, I lost count on how many people were in the living room that just entered, moments later the door claps closed. The door to my room is closed. I’m not sure if they know I’m here or not, but they are talking awfully loud for a late hour. Pop, pop, pop, goes the microwave and the aroma of popcorn creeps under my doorway. The smell made my stomach growl but man did I want popcorn now. My roommate opens the door to our room and everything was illuminated in a quick second. The light burns straight through my eyes as I bring them down to a squint, and small tears started to form. I wasn’t crying the light just hurt and I then said
“We are so not moving halfway across the country for some job! You don’t even need to finish your sentence!” I snap back. Angrily, I storm out of the kitchen, leaving my parents and siblings all speechless. When I get to my room, I drop myself on the bed and start to cry.
"Yours," Mom says then begins to walk away while saying, "hurry up guys. We gotta get to the airport to meet your uncle Scott and aunt Malia."
"Please sweetie, tell us what happened" the officer asked the little girl once more. She shook her head, remembering the words her dad told her.
Vic starts making some moves towards the most attractive girl at the gathering, with some achievement. In the meantime, Enn winds up conversing with two girls. The first girl with long white hair and a split little finger, says things like, “I grow weary of the journeying, and I wish sometimes that it would end. On a street in Rio at Carnival, I saw them on a bridge, golden and tall and insect-eyed and winged, and elated I almost ran to greet them, before I saw that they were only people in costumes. I said to Hola Colt, ‘Why do they try so hard to look like us?’ and Hola Colt replied, ‘Because they hate themselves, all shades of pink and brown, and so small.’ It is what I experience, even me, and I am not grown. It is like a world of children,
down the stairs all I wanted to do was to run back to my bedroom and
A few minutes later, my mom woke me up and we went into a room. There
“I’ll come up there,” she said, “but not because of what you think.” Good, her goal became more clear to her. We had a falling out in the closet. I wanted to put her and him in their place. The nonsense was inacceptable. Marie needed strict guidance, and what said just now proved to me that she was ready for the next phase.
