I was walking with my friends as we eased the corner there was the house we forgot to turn down the road earlier i guess we need to go by it. I was always curious about this house A couple years ago there was a lot of murders here but nobody did anything because they couldn’t find the bodies. As we go in the smell was horrible. The narrator begins by portraying the house to look like typical horror movie houses. It’s a large, pretty house, with locked gates, and is far away from the street and other houses. When they initially moved into the house, she feels spirits right away, saying “there is something strange about the house—I can feel it.” (377). She later declares there is a peculiar smell in the house. “It creeps all over the house. I find it hovering in the dining-room, skulking in the parlor, hiding in the hall, lying in wait for me on the stairs. It gets into my hair. Even when I go to ride, if I turn my head suddenly and surprise it, there is that smell!” (385). The way she phrased this brings the presence of the dead to the atmosphere. Spirits are often described as “hovering” and “creeping” around, popping up unexpectedly. She says it’s hiding and waiting for her, which probably scares her.
I heard a blood-curdling scream and I jumped. I felt silent tears running down my heavily scarred face, but they weren’t out of sadness. Mostly. They were a mixture of pain and fear. I ran into the eerie, blood-splattered room and screamed as I felt cold fingers grab my neck.

My head spinning I could finally see outside and where I was at. I just realized I fell off. My eyes filled up with tears I started bawling; I was shaking and looking around to find my parents but they weren’t there. I see this person running down the dark green grass. I could barely see who it was but he came closer and I see my neighbor. Everything I tried to look at looked like I was looking underwater without goggles. There were red blotches all over the street. I guessed that it was my blood, it was from my knees and elbows. A bad headache came, my neighbor asked me “Do you know your name and your parents?”
As the townspeople stated, the smell of a decomposing body is unmistakable.... ... middle of paper ... ... No one had entered her home in over ten years.
I was thrown at the door and my heard a crunch to my right, but felt no pain because my whole body was numb to death. I tried to grab something I couldn’t move. I told myself calm down, calm down, calm down but my body and brain were frozen.
Startled, I woke up. I knew the monster was in the room. Out of nowhere, I began running. I was so desperate to get out, I ran without thinking. I saw my knee was bleeding.
I slowly wake up, and it must have been hours later. I looked down and my leg was gone. I could feel a searing pain rush through my body. My leg was bandaged up around the cut, but I could still imagine how it looked. Blood was dripping from the bandages. I could not take it anymore. Right there I shut my eyes, and never again were they opened. My family was traumatized at my death.
I stood there just staring I could not move. Every time I moved o\n took a breath I felt him getting closer. Quickly, I had to do something but I did not know what. I feel like he has a gun or a weapon but I do not know for sure. I was 5’4 and 87lbs., and this guy had to be at least 6’9 and 250lbs.. There was no way that I would win in a fistfight so I just had to sit there and hope he would not see me hiding. I decided to run, I got shot in the leg.
Everything went black. I felt a warm stream of blood trickle past my lip. I lifted my hands to my head and hair scrunched between my fingers, full of dried blood. Time stood still it seemed. I pulled myself to my feet and all I could see was my friend sobbing.
My hand shaking at every thought, a cold shiver ran down my spine as cold sweat trickled down the side of my forehead. I lifted my hand up and a strong smell hit my nose, it was the smell of blood. I lifted the object and shock hit me like lightening, fear displaced my sadness, sickness changed my bloodstream from blood to a thick liquid pus and vomit. I held the muscle with my right hand as my left hand was paralysed with shock. The adrenaline shot me forcing me to move but shock shattered me into thin slices that were impossible to put back again.
I was keeping calm until a little lizard scattered off through grass, the mosquitoes buzzed, and the crickets chirped. Adrenaline rushed through every vein in our body as we heard a strange, yet terrifying growling sound. At that moment, every instinct in my body told me to run. I looked everywhere, all I could see were my two friends, and the cold quiet forest.
When I stepped inside the haunted house, I thought I was going to die. The first step I took, I knew it wasn’t going to end well. I started walking in the haunted house alone because all the people I came with left me to go find something to eat. I was welcomed by this very frightening man with a very frightening chainsaw in his giant hand. I continued to walk along until I got stopped by another man that was even scarier than the last. He told me not to be scared, but I was terrified!

We weren 't sure if the sound were coming from the old lady’s house, but we went anyway even though I wasn’t sure if that was the correct thing to do, but they insisted that nothing would happened if we go together and see what was going on inside. The cat wasn 't in the porch anymore. As we walked you could smell the death grass and the scary view of the naked trees. We finally got to the stairs of the porch but every step that we did sounded like broken and empty. The glass in the windows was broken and the door was scratch too. As soon as we all got to the door it opened but no one was behind. One of the children run away crying and screaming he was too afraid to go
