This is a rebuttal to Mr. Albuquerque response. His response is an untruthful account of events. The first time I collected the bike the repair work was not completed still needed final body and mechanical work. Nevertheless I took it in an attempt to test the work that had been done and see what needed to be corrected. We agreed on that I would be bringing it back to have the mufflers adjusted. On the drive home I noticed that the brakes were not working properly. I called him and it was agreed that when I brought it back to his shop he would check them. Then I noticed that the paint around the gas intake was peeling off. I did not see this at the shop because the caps were on. I called him to advice of this and he said that when I brought it back he would fix it. …show more content…
I was not completely satisfied with the suggestion but agreed. I left the bike there for a second time. A week after he calls to tell me the bike was ready to be picked up. I went to pick up and when I got there I noticed that it had a scratch on the gas tank and the mufflers were still vibrating. He agreed with my complaints and suggested that I take the bike again to see if there was any other faults with it and bring it back. Again I took it. Then an electrical malfunction surfaced. Again I called him and he said that when I brought it back he would look into it. A week after I took the bike back. This time I told I would not take it again until it was 100% fixed. This time when I arrived to pick up the bike, he was not at the shop. A shot while after he arrived followed by a another car, a black SUV driven by a Miami police officer. They both got off their cars and went into the shop. Then Mr. Albuquerque greeted me and ask me to come in to see the bike. He then asked his friend (the officer) to come and join us. As I am inspecting the bike I see another bump on the paint and brought it to his attention. The officer saw it too and told him that that had to be
Starting with the first chapter, Deverell examines the racial and ethnic violence that took place in the wake of American defeat. In no more than thirty years or so, ethnic relations had appeased and the Mexican people were outnumbered quickly (as well as economically marginalized and politically disenfranchised), as the second chapter discloses. The author examines a variety of topics to further his case but the most compelling and captivating sections of the book come into the third, fourth and fifth chapters. The third chapter focuses its attention
Milagro is a small agricultural town located in the hot arid state of New Mexico. Joe Mondragon, a man of his mid 30's, provided for his wife and two kids. He was a farmer, but a farmer with no fields. During the 1935 Interstate Water Compact, much of the water was transferred to big-time farmer's fields, like Ladd Devine. This would not have been a problem except for the fact that Joe's field was located on the west side of Milagro and all of the water flowed to the southeast side. All of the people of Milagro were unhappy about this change, but no one would say or do anything that would oppose the Devines. One day, Joe had had enough and tapped into the water supply. He knew that watering his father's field would cause problems, but he didn't care. Day after day Joe worked in his fields, preparing them for harvest. People from all the town gathered each day to watch Joe work. While Joe worked on his fields, the Devines worked on a plan to get rid of him. They did not like the idea that Joe Mondragon, a simple farmer, had not conformed to their ways. The Devines involved several various people in order to get rid of Joe, but all of these people could not stop Joe from obeying his morals. Bernabe Montoya, the Milagro town sheriff, and Sheriff Kyril Montana, a government officer, were assigned the duty of arresting Joe. They worked hard and diligently to arrest him, but time after time, they failed.
One of the many characteristics that a hero needs to have is bravery. Cortez of course didn’t want what happen to happen, but he had the bravery to stand up to an Anglo sheriff to defend his brother. At the time that this happened, Anglos intimidated many Mexican-Americans who were living in Texas because of the tension that was there from the war. Mexican American were abused and mistreated because of the language barrier that wasthere was between them. This...

Bowden’s idea of why this happened focused mainly on the old misunderstood traditions of the tribes living in Mexico. He shows how the friars, churches and icons took the blunt of the revolts force. Bowden points out the religious differences and similarities be...

A young Apache at the time, Geronimo set out one day with his family from their homeland, which is now located in southeastern Arizona, on a trading mission into Mexico. Many other families also went with him. The men went into town to trade each day, leaving their families behind. On this momentous evening, they returned home to find that Mexican soldiers had ferociously attacked their camp. They had murdered their women and children and stolen their supplies and horses.
Morrison said she did not. Morrison only wanted to get her television back from Midwest Cash after she located the serial number. Morrison stated Tully had a child and did not want produce any hardship for the child’s sake. I advised Morrison I could not retrieve her television from Midwest Cash if she did not want to sign a complaint, but she could purchase the television from Midwest Cash if she wanted it back. Morrison stated the television’s selling price was $90.00. Morrison was not able to purchase the television so she changed her mind and said she would sign a complaint. I asked Morrison when I could meet with her. Morrison stated she was on her way to work and would be off duty at 1230 hours. I told Morrison to call the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office when she was off duty and I would meet her to retrieve the television identifiers and a signed complaint. Morrison agreed. I never heard back from
A Texan, William B. Travis and a small group of Texans attacked a squad of Mexican troops in Anahuac with the motive that “taxes should not thus be collected from them to support a standing army in their own country” (SOS 1) and soon drove them back. Travis retreated to San Felipe and were assisted to Bexar. Skirmishes and the threat of war with Mexico soon followed.
) A mechanics lien are commonly used by subcontractors and suppliers, in this case Rupert would be the subcontractor for Clyde. Clyde could be force to sell his home to pay for the mechanics lien, or pay twice as much than he was originally obligated to pay because of legal fees accrued. Rupert cannot enforce the $200 tune up through a mechanic’s lien, but he can place a lien on Clyde’s property for the $20,000 promised to build the detached garage. This lien places a legal claim against the property that has been built, improved or remodeled. In order to collect the $200 promised for the tune up on Clyde’s car, Rupert will have to file a separate case through small claims court to try and recover the $200. The fees to file this case could

Next he asked for me to turn the water off to the house which was located in our closet and shortly after he started again to twist and turn until the handle was completely stuck. Yes stuck he stated which meant he could not move it anymore because he stated that the nail fell into the whole preventing the handle turn. He stated that therefore he would need to cut my handle off the bath tub faucet handle and cut a hole in the back of my washer in my kitchen to get to the pipes or my next option is that he could spray some grease on the handle and try to come back tomorrow to see if it would move. However either way he stated that the job would be $600 if I purchase my own bathtub kit for him to put back on tomorrow or $900 if he supplies the equipment which he still can’t fix until he order the parts tomorrow so in the meantime we can’t use the bathtub faucet nor shower. I explained to him that before he came to my house my bathtub faucet and handle was working just fine with only small drips. NOW he’s cutting off the bathtub faucet handle and stated that I will have to use a wrench or he can place the broken handle back on to slightly turn it make the water run. I am appalled that he left my house worse then
Identity-“Ones personal qualities.”Identiy is something only he or she can fully define. My uncle says I am affectionate, cheerful, and calm. My grandmother sees me as slim, pretty and sweet. My dad described me as perky, cheerful and happy, my mom says beautiful, gentle, and self-conscious. These adjectives describe me accurately, yet they are only abstract versions of me. Adjectives cannot begin to describe me and I aknowlege these descriptions for what they are, a condensed translation from my outward self to the world. It is impossible for anyone to understand me completely because nobody has experienced the things I have. My mother has never cherished a raggedy doll named Katie and my father never spent hours upon hours making collages and scrap books for his future children. My uncle never hid in the back of a pick-up-truck and traveled four hours to New York and my grandmother has never walked hours in the rain looking for the Queen of England. My identity is something only I can define.
It is a beautiful day for father and son to take a trip to the home improvement store were things typically go horribly bad once they return home. Typically a home improvement project becomes a disaster once the supplies are purchased and the work begins. In this case the problem occurred much earlier than normal and the actual project never did get off the ground. Light bulbs, nails, a tube of caulk and one 40 lb. bag of asphalt patch was loaded into the home improvement buggy and purchased at the checkout. All is going well until it is decided that the buggy can be left at the store entrance and the items could be carried to the car. Just as the 40 lb. bag is lifted from the cart the problem began. Cell phone in one hand and an attempt to switch hands with the bag of asphalt in the other, one slip up and the phone hits the ground with the asphalt on top. Yes, everyone knows the result of this decision….shattered cell phone screen. A true “don’t tell mom” moment, the phone has an insurance plan and everything will be worked out prior to letting mom know so she has less to be upset about once she is told.
He said he just need a tune up and some work done on the carburetor. It was a little older car, but it too, like my Camaro, was very nice. He was a busy man and asked if I would pick it up directly from his house and bring it to my father’s shop for him. I complied with his request and set off for his house. Once I got there, I climbed into his car and tried to start it. It didn’t start, and was making some weird noises. I got out of the car and began going through a checklist on why it wouldn’t start. The car had enough gas, and the battery was at full charge. I decided to check the oil. I opened the hood and pulled the oil dipstick out of the tube. I just about passed out. The car was out of oil! I just ruined this mans car. I committed this mistake, which means I was responsible to fix it. I called the owner of the car and told him what happened. He was not happy to say the least. He used some very harsh and inappropriate words, and I promised him that I would fix his car within the next week. Now fixing a car that has been run out of oil is a very time consuming and costly task, so I was a slight bit
