I had a special dog-named Marley; he was only 10 years old when he died. When Marley was a puppy I thought he was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I asked my mom if we could get the Border collie and she said no but I begged her and she said yes. When she said that we could get the dog she asked me what I wanted to name him, and I said I wanted to name him Marley. When we took him home I thought taking care of an animal would be easy but really when we went home and we went inside, he was everywhere around the house. When I sleep in my bed, he would come in my room to snoop around. At night while everyone is sleeping, Marley would snoop around the house and he would start knocking down stuff like decorations, lamps, and pictures sitting on the desk. After we would wake up we would find like all sorts of toys and dog food and shoes and clothing everywhere. …show more content…
When we would get back from the walks he would go upstairs and go in my mom’s room and he would sleep. After awhile he would come downstairs and beg me for a dog bone and I would normally give him one. When he would be done with his bone he would start looking around for stuffed animals to chew up and I would always hide all the stuffed animals down stairs in the basement in a tote. Normally when I would take him outside he would normally stay at the door or go snoop around the bottom fence line of the dog pen. After awhile I would let Marley back inside the house and he would lay down
When I first arrived “Lisa” The girl that I shadowed told me that there was an emergency with one of the animals. It ended up that a one-year-old beagle ate an entire thing of metabolite, and then slowly started to die. The liver had shut down, and the heart rate was up to 300. Lisa told me that taking a thing of metabolite was like taking 50 cups of coffee at once. The owners of the beagle were there and bowling. The beagle’s name was Murry. Murry's body slowly was shutting down one thing after another. The owners made the decision the dog was going to be put to sleep. We got the dog ready to be taken out. They undid all the cords from the dog so they could take it to another room. I said goodbye to the dog, and then they took it into the other room so that the owners could be there when they put him to sleep. After that happened they then had to put a sleep a little hedgehog that had cancer on its mouth. We then did two regular checkups with one cat and with one dog. Those when great. After that we had a dog come in and it ended up having an affection that might end up killing it. I never heard the end result. The last thing that I did there was that a black lab had been bitten by another dog, and that dog ripped a hole in the neck of the black lab. The doctors had to perform surgery on the dog to close up the holes in the neck. They first had to clean it out with qutips. And blood stated to come out right then I was a little dizzy and I thought I was going to faint. But thank god I didn’t. I saw a cat get dental work on it. And a cat get a bath and they had to blow dry it and brush the hair while it was a sleep.
Growing up in Jamaica, I enjoyed worship. I remembered looking forward to church. We clapped our hands and stomped our feet and made a joyful noise unto the Lord. We didn't have keyboards and drums. We clapped and sounded like timbrels. I remembered when I learned to testify and it helped me and several others to build our confidence. I would sing in the local churches when they have special events. I watched young people being filled with the Holy Ghost and I wanted it so badly that I would pray and ask God to give it to me. I remembered watching my mother and my sister speak in tongues and I so wanted to do it.
One day my owner pulled me out of his pocket then turn me on with his thumb then said, “blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah ,then i said turn back two blocks turn to the right then your your destination will be on your right then he put me back in his pocket but he forgot to turn me off.I tried to keep my mouth shut but there were so many questions to answer the then fell asleep then i woke up to hearing to sliding glass door are we home i whispered then i heard logan stomping on floor i’m home i whispered but i didn’t hear derrick then peeped out of my owners pocket we're not home i almost yelled then the oldest boy got curious then looked at me i pretend to be off then he
One night, probably about 10:00, i was walking down the street at night. I always smoke a swisher when walking to my friends house. I was just about to turn the corner. I was about halfway to my friends house. I had that feeling, i hadn't had that feeling in a long time. I think that I would have been killed if i would have ignored the feeling. When i turned the corner i heard rustling in the leaves behind me, i was still calm debating whether or not i'm just being paranoid. I kept walking, I took my knife out, about 2 min later i heard something running up behind me. I didn't know what it was, i was startled, i turned around and then i saw it, a pit bull. I didn't know what to do, it jumped at me and I did what i was trained to do in my knife lessons. If i didn't already have my blade out, well i didn't have time to get my blade out.
It all started last year during summer break. I was with a couple of friends when he came along. He was short, round and had a learning disability. We thought that it'd be fun to pick on him for a while. We took turns shoving him around. I guess I shoved him too hard and he rolled down the hill we were on. When we found him he was barely breathing. We tried to help him because we thought that it'd be the right thing to do but then we realized that this was all our fault. We couldn't let him go so we carried him into the forest for the animals to finish him off. Days later, we returned to the forest only to find his body with teeth marks all over, he even lost his leg to a pack of coyotes. The worst part of it was that in the midst of all this, he was still alive slowly enduring this torture. We took our turns saying our apologies but we knew that it would never be enough.
John and Jenny, newlywed couple began their family life in the little house in South Florida. Both had full time job in the local newspaper. One morning Jenny decided to get a dog to work on her parenting skills. They ended up bringing home the male puppy of Labrador retriever that seemed to be smitten with the couple with the first sight. The name “Marley” came out accidently, while Jenny was listening to a song from Bob Marley, and both Jenny and John shouted in unison that’s the dog’s name. Within weeks Marley grew tremendously. His active uncontrollable behavior affected the whole house. As a new boarder, Marley changed the family routine as well. Now John and Jenny had to walk the dog twice a day and come back on lunch break to feed him. Young Marley was so hyperactive and so excitable that the couple didn’t even realize that it was a symptom of the behavioral condition called attention deficit hyperactive disorder. Despite his behavior, the dog was serving an important role in the family. My observation the story through the book of growing up ...
It was another boring day at the medical center. I was just inside cleaning the room to get ready to go home. As I’m locking the door to the operating room, a man comes and knocks on the window and asks if I can have a look at his dog. I unlocked the door and let the patient in. The man that has come into the room, came because his dog was severely ill. The dog had a fever of 37o and looked as dead as a zombie. As I was listening to his heart beat with a stethoscope, the dog bit my arm and made me bleed. I quickly retrieved and held my hand as it was bleeding and looked at the owner. I asked the owner, “How long has your dog been acting like this for?” the owner replied “He has been acting like this for about a week now.” Well unfortunately
I also remember after she passed away dad got me a dog that was a Catahoula and I named him spot because he was covered in brown spots. He was a really smart dog my dad taught him a whole bunch of tricks like sit shake and lay down but he was also a really good cattle dog and tracker. We had a cow that kept jumping the fence and dad got tired of chasing her back in everyday so he had spot do it and after he did it she never jumped the fence again because she was afraid of him. One year my uncle shot a doe with a bow behind our house and it ran off but was hit and was leaving a trail so we brought spot back there and dad told him to find him and he lead us straight there He also did that for me once with my first turkey when I was six. Sometimes when we would call the cows up to work them or to give them shots or move them somewhere else mom would come and bring sugar and sugar would hear us call them and then she would try and mimic us and call them like we were and it was really funny because you could tell she was trying to say the same thing we were. She liked to call them and see them come up she wouldn't ever growl at them or try to chase them she actually enjoyed their
The only problem with that was that he was an inside cat, we didn’t want something bad to happen to him since we lived near a road and some aggressive neighbors that weren’t very kind to cats. One day after getting home from school neither of my parents were home and I didn’t realize Oreo was right at the door until I opened it. He bolted as soon as I cracked the door open. I tried to catch him, but he sprinted off into the woods. I was devastated for about three days until I thought I had found him. The cat I found looked just like Oreo, or at least I thought it did. Being an optimistic eleven year old of course I wanted to believe the cat I had in my possession was the cat I had lost. It was fluffy and black and white just like Oreo, but I didn’t notice that the markings were just a little bit different, or that this new cat was actually a little friendlier than my grumpy Oreo. The other thing I didn’t notice was that this cat was a girl. I really wanted to believe that this was my cat until the actual owners came by looking for their cat, they had a poster for her and everything. My parents decided to show them the cat we had found just to be sure. Being eleven years old and
I just heard about his passing, and while I rarely care about celebrities dying, I always admired Ali so much.
We got back adventuring and we found a dog. The dog didn’t have a collar or anything, he wasn’t dirty either. This dog we took him along with us and he loved that he had seen people. When we started to head back to the house, he came with and we fed him. That night while everyone was asleep, I looked to see if the dog was still here and he had left. I went back to bed and didn’t tell anyone that the dog was gone.
So one day I was playing with my brothers and sisters, and then this family showed up and everyone surrounded them, so I did the same. We were all licking and jumping on them, but then a bell rang which meant that it was lunch time. All off my siblings went to eat but I stayed behind, so then they picked me up and brought me to a house nearby and pet me, the child that was with them called me Bob, I liked that name, but after they pet me they put me back in the pen so I was confused. Three weeks later they came back and brought me back to the house and they pet me again, but this time they brought me outside and put me into a car. After that we left the house
One day one a spooky night their was a kid name Jack. Jack was walking home alone, and Jack had a pet and his pet was a cat, the cat name was Fluffy, and it was his only friend. Every month of October his cat Fluffy can speak to Jack and no one else. But on that night night was a shadow going down into the ground and Jack saw a hole. Jack want home quickly and come back to the hole in the afternoon when getting out of school tomorrow. The next morning Jack pet Fluffy was going to school with Jack because of a holiday that they do every year on halloween and that is bring your pet to school day. Fluffy was always good and don’t have to be on a leash. Jack and Fluffy went outside and wait you the bus to get at his stop to pick him up. A couple
As I got older, I got a dog for a pet but I don't really remember much about it. Although, the whole time I was growing up my dad had fish. There were always fish swimming around a tank and I can not for the life me remember a time that they would be sleeping. They were always moving or just being still and looking. Fish are interesting animals because it's hard to know or even tell if they sleep much less dream. After my daughter was born, we got some cats and then two hamsters and later some goldfish and finally a Chihuahua. The cats that we had were twin cats named Tigger and Tiger. They didn't get much sleep at the time because Robin, my daughter, was around two years old and was constantly doing something with them. If they did dream while t...
The day Mom got Sugar was somewhat frightening for me. Obviously, I wanted nothing to do with the dog, I never planned to be in the same room as the dog, much less, take care of the dog. After all, Mom was supposed to take care of the dog. Slowly, I fell in love with her. She looked stern and loving. Her warm, brown eyes and pearly white smile only helped me fall in love with her. Not long after that I started to enjoy her company. Sugar was a loyal dog, she wanted to please everyone. When we went for a walk Sugar would come with us. We kept her on a leash, yet she never strayed from us.
