On February 14th, 2018 I went to the Chicago Auto show. It is a yearly tradition that my dad and I have and this is our fourth year going. We left around five in the morning that day and I wasn’t tired so my dad and I just listened to music on the four hour car ride to Chicago. We stopped in Peru where my dad and I stopped at a car dealership to look at a truck he was interested in. After we got done looking at the truck the dealer ask us if we were going to the car show and he gave us two free tickets.
When we got there it was around nine o’clock so we went to go have breakfast at a fast food restaurant at the conference center. After breakfast we walked to the displays and had to get our tickets checked and we got in. When you walked into the center, there were lights

My dad really likes the Jeep Wrangler and we were hoping to get that car for our text drive but we barely got it because someone else went in line ahead of us. When we got into the car, the man who was driving was listening to music extremely loud so we could barely hear him. He hit the gas and we were off. First we went up a very steep incline that was much steeper then the Toyota incline and then we started to go down the other side of the hill. While we were going down, he slammed on the brakes and we staying almost upside down for almost a minute. When he finally let off the brakes we slammed into giant pothole that racked the whole entire car. We were all really jostled up but the car took it in stride.
After we experienced all of these really enjoyable adventures we went to go see old cars from the start of automobile history. We saw extremely old and unique cars that you couldn’t see anywhere else. We didn’t get to sit in these cars and let alone touch it but it was a really cool experience to see the variety and the similarities of older versions of cars and the new
We also got to see the auto show. It was very interesting to learn about
Four wheeling has been one of my family’s favorite activities for my whole life. Both of my parents even grew up riding. They kept the tradition of riding in our family by giving me my first four wheeler when I was five years old. I would take it on miniature trail rides until it eventually gave out and I had to hop on with my parents. We have continued that tradition by going on many four wheeling trips every summer.
I lost my shoes that night to cause they fell off in the lake so my mom had to make me some it was pretty funny. I wouldn't say it was the best experience, but it sure wasn't the worst. Now for the funny part, Some of my worst experiences. i was about eleven so not that long ago we were down in the racetrack area we had found and we hadn't been there for a while and noticed there was a hill of rocks about four feet high so we decided to ride up them because it was flat on the top. I was scared like normal, so my grandpa said “ why don't you go ahead and do the throttle?” I was okay with that so I got ready my grandpa was behind me ready to steer and right when I pushed the throttle I pushed just a little too much and we tipped the four wheeler on top of us, we were crushed between the rocks and the four wheeler for about ten minutes and now when I run I think that's why my knee messes up all the time cause I got a rock stuck in it. Another experience is I was riding my sister around I was ten, she was five I had her up front so she would be safe and we pulled into the driveway because i needed a drink. We stopped and my mom got us a drink, I was turned around talking to my grandpa on the four wheeler no one was paying attention to my sister and while we were talking she pressed the throttle and we crashed into the
The racecar was not the most creative or what some would call beautifully designed. But the owner and his father worked for weeks on that little wooden block to turn it into something the ten-year-old boy could be proud to race. A previous race showed what needed to be done for a car to make it in the top five. After careful designing, sanding, painting, and graphite the car was finished.
When we look at the classic Car image, it reminds us of the experiences that surround our daily lives. The Classic Car image is in black and white which reminds us of the picture realities that held sway some decades ago. I do not readily understand all that transpired in the wreck of this car. However, some points are quite easy to note. It shows that the beauty of every vehicle is not just in its outward design but in its safety features. This shot was taken from one of the vehicles parked in the Alaska Car Museum. There are so many stories that surround the cars in this iconic location.
My mom as furious she thought I should have saved my money and bought a newer truck so I could be like everyone else, but that is not me I would take an older car over a new one any day just to be different The first thing we did was see if we could start the truck we put a battery, spark plugs, and then poured a little gas in the carburetor and turned the key, with only a couple of tries the old engine coughed to life I was ecstatic I know my dream was possible. We began to pull the truck apart and find any and everything that may have been wrong or wore out on it. The engine and transmission were pull and taken it to the shop were me and my dad spent every week and after school opportunity to go through and clean and re-gasket the entire engine and transmission. After a few months they looked like new I ended up painting the engine an old Chevy orange and I fell in love with
At 80 miles per hour, the 1968 candy apple red Corvette streaked effortlessly through the gentle curves near the edge of Texas hill country. It wasn’t a loud sound. Not loud enough to frighten him, but it was loud enough for him to take notice and fill him with anxiety. He immediately clenched the steering wheel a little harder as a wave of near panic shot up his spine. Then, just as quickly as it surfaced, it subsided. A slight, but unusual vibration began to emanate from somewhere within the heart of the car, or so it seemed. He glanced in the rear view mirror, saw there were no vehicles for as far as he could see, and decided that he would pull the car over to the shoulder. At that precise moment, the concrete ribbon twisted sharply to the right in a nasty hairpin curve. It snaked around in a desperate curl that’s caught him by complete surprise, and he stupidly mashed the brake pedal much too hard. The tires screamed noisily as they painted heavy streaks of hot black rubber on the narrow concrete roadway. The tail end of the car began to swing around, and instinctively he twisted the wheel to the left to steer into the skid. This action was now bringing him too close to the left-hand shoulder where large, protruding boulders threatened destruction to his car. Just a few feet beyond the rocks, the road dropped off into a deep; seemingly bottomless chasm. He cursed aloud for allowing the turn to surprise him. Then just before the unavoidable crash into the rocky shoulder, he took his foot off the brake, turned hard to the right and with earnest passion, stomped hard on the gas pedal.
My youth pastor pulled out of our church parking lot at three am in the morning loaded down with a bus full of twenty four teenagers including me. We were off at last head to Colorado Spring Colorado, little did I know, our bus was going to fall apart this very day.
Then came the horn at the gate. I was very sure it was my father's car. I started getting nauseous as I watched him park the car. Carrying his bag from the car was my usual routine but this day was an exception.
This is it, the day it all comes to fruition. Saturday night, right around dinner time, my dad and I set out to meet a man to look at what could potentially become my first truck. We had been interested in the truck for quite some time, and today was the day we decided to make an offer. It was quite a lengthy drive in my dad’s old beat up Chevy, but I knew that it would be worth it. Finally, we arrive at our destination, and things couldn’t have worked out any better.
My tie flew in the morning wind. The only thing that I hoped was that I would not be late to work, I had been warned a couple of times about me being late. Luckily the bus too was late as usual. As I was boarding the bus I looked up for a vacant seat. What I saw then was quite unbelievable.
Some drivers have their car upgraded so well it will be stunning and as shiny as the top of the chrysler building! A heads up when you see these types of cars, make sure to have sunglass on so you can look cool and pick up girls then find out that the car that you are on is actually theirs. Sometimes you get see the wackiest cars at the meet. The cars there might range from a hotdog car to a clown car that has monster truck wheel and suspension. Some may even look like a car in a movie such as Batman’s ride or the Delorean from Back to the
The tire was flat! I yelled to my grandpa and told him to come here. He came running over and he got a sight that he did not want to see. He asked me to please climb into the truck's bed and get the 3 ton truck jack.
One summer I went to visit my uncle in my hometown for vacation. My uncle had several off road Jeeps that his friends and he used to go to the tide pools with. Knowing me, I don’t want to ride with my uncle or his friends so I tell him I want to build my own Jeep. He had two old broken Jeeps on his land that he never found the time to rebuild so my cousin and I pulled the two Jeeps to my uncle’s business garage.
Embarrassed bringing the car to get washed, I sat and waited for the car to make it through the other side. Nervously waiting I was greeted by two more people that were also waiting for their vehicles to be cleansed of minor visual defects. One of the customers was a man in his mid forties and the other was a boy almost the same age as I was. I still sat there in anticipation waiting to see my car pass through the other side.
