One day my mom told me that I was moving schools and of course I was not happy at all. So the whole moving school thing I wasn’t happy about, but the good thing about it was I would meet new kids and make new friends and my mom told me that their was two kids that didn’t like each other so I was kinda worried about that but I would be fine. So the next day I got up I was ready to step into a new school and meet new people,so when we got there I went to take a tour and met a kid named August and another kid named Jack they were going to show me around. So they showed me around the school and I was so excited because I got invited to August’s b-day party and it was really fun but August told me their was this kid that was mean to him and Jack, he also told me that he was going to be at the park this afternoon with his mom so we …show more content…
planned a fight and I was in on it and told that I would get everything set up. I also told August that if we got in trouble I would take the blame for all of it since I was the new kid,August said that he wanted to take the blame because it was his idea so I said fine. The next week I went over to August’s house and we hung out and made a plan,so our plan was to go to the park at noon to find Julien and gang up on him but it kinda backfired into a bad plan because Julien ended up not showing up so now we have to do something else. So our next plan was to get him at school the next day at recess, recess was 20 minutes long so we had some time to do our plan but all in all our plan was to get Julian out of town and out of school so he wouldn’t bully Jack and August because that’s why everyone is on August’s side because he lost the fight and lost his friends with it.
We always hung out to plan the rest of the fight so we could do it the next day. So the next day I went to August’s house and we planned out the rest of the fight, the next hour we went to school and we were sitting in class and we went to change classes and there was,Julian standing right by the door waiting for us.Apparently he heard about our plan to gang up on him,but we proceeded to our plan anyways and I punched then and there and he ran away and started to cry and walk away. Eventually he moved away to another town, and we got in trouble but it wasn’t that bad, because we only got detention for a week.So after all of that team work we were best friends forever,we also got along alot better. Also we where way closer as friends and he knew me very well.We talked way better so that was really
good.
After we relaxed for a long time, it was time for me to go and wash off all of the seaweed my hair had collected. I turn on the shower and there is a huge spider waiting for me just sitting there waiting for me. I killed it and then resumed my shower. After I got out and we were all ready leave we didn’t know where to go. Until my sister saw a commercial for this really cool place with alligators and a Ferris wheel, we decided to go there. As we pulled up to the place we noticed that there was an amazing Ferris wheel and I immediately got really excited. But my parents said that I have to wait until after dinner. So we went and ate our amazing dinner and it was so amazing. I ordered the best lobster and crab, it was so
When I first walked into the cottage that I was going to be living in and I met my cottage mom and my cottage dad. The cottage parents names where Mr. Inman and Mrs. Inman and they really kind of hit it off with my mom and dad. But when I walked in I only met a couple of the boys that were already there the first kid I met was Landon Maddon and i had to help him move out of the room that I was going to be in. The next kid I met was Buddy Crews and it was really creepy because he was really weird and just talked to talked and he just said the most randomest things. Then I meet Josh Ross my roommate I learned really quick from him not to say lip why?, because he has a really big bottom lip and everyone calls him big lip. So I mean when I first
Who could have thought moving schools could bring my mom and me so much closer. I had always understood my mom but I never realized how much she understood me. I had just graduated from elementary school and was ready to go to the big six team. Middle school was just around the corner. I had hoped that I was staying at the same school because it went up to the 8th grade but my mom had planned otherwise.
Moving to college was one of my biggest and scariest moments of my life so far.I was very scared to go out on my own and move away from the life I have always known. But moving away to college has been the best decision I have ever made. I was forced out of my comfort zone. I had to take care of myself and learn things the hard way by making my own mistakes. I’ve had to get through rough days on my own and be independent but it has made me so much stronger. I have learned many skills like time management and that cramming the night before a test isn’t the smartest thing to do. I have been able to take so many new opportunities like volunteering with Adapted Gymnastics or being a member of the Honors Health Profession Fraternity. I have had
The reason I got sent to alternative school was because I brought weed to school. I had the weed because some friend gave me the weed on a Saturday and I told my friend I had it. I told him I was going to get rid of the weed because I had no need for it but, he told me to give it to him. I gave it to him on a Thursday morning and he got caught by Officer Massy and Mrs. Early. They came to my class right after 2nd period and took me to Officer Massy’s office. Then he asked me about the incident and I told him everything, I stayed in the front office all day. I believe this placement was fair because now I won’t do this ever again and I’m going to learn to make better choices in the future.
In 2013, the Council for American Private Schools (http://www.capenet.org/facts.html) reported that approximately 5.3 million students attended private schools in the United States, and of those 5.3 million students, 80% are enrolled in schools of religious affiliation. Every year, parents choose private and religious schools in the belief that the investment in the lives and educations of their children will yield their them a brighter future than their public school counterparts (CAPE, Outlook, February 2015). A recent independent survey (The School choice journey; The Ride to Independent Schools: 2300 families tell us about their journey) revealed that when choosing an independent school, parents place a high value on academic rigor, love of learning, class size, character development, emotional and social development and lastly, college placement. Although parents desire academic rigor for their children, they are more likely to seek
On the 7th of June me and my sister Cassidy went to Ankeny to spend the week with my aunt and cousins, when we got there my cousin Macole got her hamster out his name is Poseidon but we call him Pie but you might be thinking why name him after a greek god well she has a dog named Zeus and a cat named Hades, so she put Pie on my shoulder because she knows that he’s my BFF (Best. Furry.Friend) Zeus is also my BFF. Jaden and Leigha pulled me away from the apartment and took me to deal with a little boy that called Jaden a brat but I didn’t deal with him because I was not going to beat a little kid no way, not even for that little thing nope. When I got back inside my parents were gone and Macole, Kaydence and Leigha showed me this dance that they
It was my first week of my freshman year in college. Normally, you want to survive the first week by going to school events and meeting new people. Being the first Saturday night of the school year my new friend and I decided to go to a party in another dorm on campus. Both of us didn’t know what to expect at a college party, so we dressed up and tried to look our best. As I put my black mascara on I knew that this would be a fun night. My friend Jessica knew one of the guys that would be at this gathering because he lived in the same town that she was from. Finally, we leave our dorms and head out to our first college party. We arrived at the party and started to play cards. As the night progressed, poker was getting a little boring and staying in that dorm room wasn’t too much fun either. Abruptly, one of the guys said we should go to a freshman dorm. Everyone grabbed their belongings and headed to central campus. As we walked to central campus many of the boys were whispering about how they were going to cause a ruckus. No one was a resident of this hall, so we had to ask someone who was outside to let us in.
If you ask anyone what home means to them more than likely you’ll get several different opinions. In my case home has never been a specific place it’s always been wherever my mom was! My Mother and I have been moving from place to place ever since I could remember.
"We're moving!", my Mom said aloud to our family of four at the dinner table. All I could do was face palm. Ever since I was introduced to the planet, moving to different areas of the city or country has been a huge part of my life. It became a yearly thing. My mom was a traveling nurse, so wherever she finds a job that's more decent in salary or atmosphere, we would end up moving to an area close to where her new job would be. I always thought of it as an exciting experience when I was younger. Almost like an adventure or journey across the country. As I got older it became more annoying and upsetting; always having to throw away any items in order to save money to travel, leaving behind old friends and soon forgetting them, or not being
A first day at a new school can always be scary and nerve wrecking. Starting a new school can seem as if making new friends will be almost impossible. In the end a new school calls for new experiences and new friends.
When I got home I quickly got ready, I ironed my cap and gown, did my make-up and hair, and made my last phone call to Andrew. I called him right before I left and asked him if he was sure he did not want a ride. Again he responded politely and on my way I went. When I got to the high school everyone was taking pictures, laughing, and talking about how they were g...
I had never cried or not wanted to go to school. In the beginning, I was very shy and used to whisper everything in the teacher’s (Rosa) ears. I was very particular about keeping my footwear clean, while polishing shoes, I polished underneath too. My friends were artistic and were interested in art and music. In middle school, I had an amazing teacher. She was very friendly and helpful to all of us. My friends were really fun to hang out with and we clicked since the beginning. They shared the same interests with me like reading books, dancing, writing, etc. We used to bunk our art classes and play games in the class. I still talk to most of them, thanks to technology. The school once took us on a 5-day camping trip nearby and it was the best part of middle school. I loved the time spent with my friends, we shared so many secrets with each other. My favorite memory is when they took us to a beach. None of us had beach clothes so we all went into the water in our school uniforms. It was an amazing
It was just another day of my life. The fourth ring of my alarm woke me up. As usual, I was not feeling to go in school. I slept a couple of more minutes. After while, the shine of the sun coming from the window woke me up.I slowly stretched my arms and slid out of bed. I brushed my teeth and took the shower. Downstair,my mother was calling me for breakfast.I was still undecided what should wear for school. After browsing for while I found something to wear, and finished getting myself ready for school. When I checked the clock, I was running late as usual, which was not a surprised. I quickly ate my half sandwich and left the rest of the sandwich on the table.I took my car key, jump in my black Lexus and made my way to school.During my way to school, I got a call from my friend John. John is my best friend since when we were in middle school. He told me that his car was broke down and he needed to ride to school. Fortunately, my friend house on my school way. I told my friend. I am on my way to pick you up from your house. As I got there, john come out from his house and jumped in my car. With sound of Drake singing and music blasting, it was a
My experience with school was very challenging and overcoming my personal struggles was not an easy feat. I started Kindergarten with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and I’m thankful that my preschool teacher recognized my learning challenges and encouraged my parents to have me evaluated. We found out that I had ADHD and learning disabilities that would make academic achievement a challenge for me. More specifically, I had difficulty decoding words and pronouncing some letter sounds such as “R’s” and “W’s”. As a result, excelling in school was a challenge due to my disability and the reaction of other students to my disability only made it more difficult.
