My first roller coaster My whole life I have been afraid of heights and roller coasters at amusement parks. Every year my family and I take a trip to Adventureland in Des Monies every summer. This summer I was determined to ride my first roller coaster. It was the night before we were going and my sisters and I always have a sleepover with our two other cousins, it was our tradition. We stayed up almost all night watching movies and talking about the rides we were going to ride this time. "I 'm going to ride the Tornado", I said. "No your not, you will chicken out when we get there", Katelyn said. I just thought to myself I can do it and we all went to bed. The next morning arrived and we all woke up early to get ready and eat breakfast. My mom made eggs, bacon and toast. We always pack a little cooler full of sandwich meat and snacks to eat for lunch at the park. When we finally got all ready we started to load the car up and piled in and we were off. We always took my grandpa 's van so we had a lot of room and everyone could fit. It takes about 4 hours …show more content…
It was a nice sunny day not to hot out so it was comfortable to walk all day in. I could see some of the rides from the parking lot and I got a little nervous for the roller coaster. We walked into the park and we always start in the front of the park and work our way to the back. "Lets ride the tilt-a-whirl first!", I suggested. I wanted to start off easy so I could work my way on the bigger rides. The spiny rides were always me and my moms favorite rides. We always rode them together because everyone else could only do about one before starting to feel sick. After that ride, we rode the boat, it rocks back and fourth. The log ride was the family favorite and we always rode it all together. We were about half way through the park and decided to take a break and go eat lunch in the parking
I love riding four wheelers. I also love to adventure so I guess you could say my character trait is being adventurous. I’ve been riding my whole life, you think I’m kidding but my mom even rode four wheelers when she was pregnant with me so yeah. I got my very first four wheeler when I was three and I rode it till I was nine, but then I wanted to ride with the big boys or girls or whatever. When I was ten I got Yamaha blaster two hundred. It was my first manual transmission four wheeler. It was also a fixer upper, so I restored it to original condition and learned valuable knowledge along the way. So now I know a lot about four wheelers. When I got done fixing it it was a lot better than before. So I figured I was ready to learn how ride a
As soon as they picked me up, we headed right to Hershey. On the way, we talked about the rides and what we were going to do. We were arguing about what was going to be our first ride that day. It took about half an hour, but we made
After returning from the first hiking trail of the day we loaded back up in the car to head to another area of the park. The drive was extremely nerve racking my mother in law
I approach the rugged mountain, shielding my body from the nasty frost nipping at my exposed skin. The sun ever so lightly peeks over the horizon as I strap on my skis, lightly dusted with a thin layer of fresh snow. Although my body shivers unceasingly, I feel comforted by the surges of adrenaline pumping through my body. I skate briskly toward the ski lift to secure my place as the first person in line. On the slippery leather seats of the lift my mind races, contemplating the many combinations of runs I can chain together before I reach the bottom of the hill. I arrive at the peak of the mountain and begin building up speed. Floating on the soft snow, weaving through the trees and soaring over rocks, I feel as if I am flying. The rush of adrenaline excites me. I feed on it. I thrive on it. I am ski; I live for speed; I am an evolving technique and I hold a firm edge.
The sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area. The scent of delicious buttery popcorn and glazed turkey legs that go on for miles and miles. The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment. When people come in, their imaginations become reality. The name describes itself perfectly. Walt Disney World is the place of dreams and imagination. People come from all around the world to see the rides, characters, food and the entertainment of Walt Disney World. I remember when I went to Disney World this past March. It was the third time I have gone to Disney World. To see the amazement and the expectation of the
The car ride was always the longest but we all knew it was worth it. We arrived at the campsite ready to finally get out of the small compacted car. We unpacked everything and still had time to go hangout around the campsite before the sun went down so my brother and I went fishing while my sister and mom went down to the playground. When we got back the second family had arrived.
It was an exciting day for me and I didn’t even know what was going to happen. My grandpa came to my house and then he told my brother Luke and I that he was going to take us on a fishing trip to Canada with his friend. We were so excited when he told us I told Grandpa, “This will be the best summer vacation ever!” After he told us we went and got gear like fishing poles, rain suites and food. When we got to the house the morning we were leaving, he showed us a picture of the cabin we would be staying in for the week. It took us a while to pack the car we all packed some of the same foods.
The next day we went to Hollywood Studios at Disney World. It was really hot that day, but it was still super fun. That was my first time going on a roller coaster. I was really scared, but my parents convinced me to go on one, and now I love roller coasters! We went on this ride that was supposed to be like flying through the sky around the world called Soarin’. It was a really cool experience. We also went on this ride called the Tower Of Terror. It was really fun.
While I was in the car I asked my mom who is going. I was going there with my mom, brother, cousins, aunt And my grandparents. When we were on the road we all got something to eat from Wawa. Then I took a long nap.The seats were pretty good.
The very next day My uncle john came over, he was gonna go camping with us. He had packed a tent for me, my sister and himself. Mom and dad already had there tent so he my
Year 16 (Yes, still in my adolescence. My loss of innocence was long and impactful.) Roller coasters. They prompted images of fear in my mind. Despite my fear, my friends pressured me onto the California Screamin’ roller coaster, simply reasoning that we wouldn’t always visit Disneyland.
We started out with the lazy river and that was ok but I had done it before so I wasn’t to happy about it, next we went to the Batman, I swear we waited in line for more then two hours just for one ride but it
I have this fear that causes my body to shake. When I think about it, my skin becomes pale and cold. It’s death speeding through my mind. Once I have seen these monstrous roller coasters, the only thing in my mind was fear. Knowing that I’m afraid to go on these rides, I didn’t want to look like a fool in front of my friends. My mind is thinking of deadly thoughts. My palms were sweaty and I was twitching like a fish. I was petrified of heights.
First of all when we got there we walked around for a while getting snacks and playing games and were having fun. Our plan was to go around the park hitting up each ride we pass and eventually go on almost every ride. Although I didn’t tell my aunt, I was scared about the big ones that my aunt loved. We walked up to the
