Before dying a leather, you need to determine first what kind of leather you are dealing with. If you have an aniline leather, you can soak it in dye. Semi-aniline leather, other hand, can also be dyed but the protective coat of this type of material must be stripped off in order for the dye to be absorbed properly by the leather. 2. Choose the right kind of dye for your leather piece. Alcohol-based dyes can stiffen the leather while water-based dyes can make it soft but it may possibly change the color of the leather. 3. Wear a pair of latex gloves to protect your skin from the dye. Set a plastic on the floor to catch any dyes in case of spills. The stain from a dye is hard to wash off and may permanently damage your floors. 4. Apply a leather preparer to eliminate the finish of the leather. This will allow the dye to be properly absorbed by the leather. 5. Wet the leather. Use a sprayer to dampen the surface of the leather evenly. Apply the leather dye. Begin by using a paintbrush to cover the edges. Then use the same paintbrush or a sponge to apply the dye in a thin coating. A sponge can create a textured effect on the leather while a paintbrush may be more suitable if you are darkening a small piece of leather. 7. Once the first coating dries, apply another layer of dye. Repeat this process until you reach your desired color. Using thin coats can make it the application look even. After ensuring one has achieved their desired nail shape, they can proceed by applying the base coat to anchor the finishing manicure. When removing the brush, one should slide the edge of the brush against the neck of the bottle, scraping the paint off one side and...
Since glitter is so hard to remove, I started with two coats of a glue-based base coat. After that dried, I painted two coats of Cover Girl's Lav-endure polish. I was disappointed with the consistency of this polish which was streaky and thin. After two coats, there were splotchy streaks that showed some of the nail underneath. I would have needed three or four coats for a perfectly opaque manicure. Even though I have a large selection of Cover Girl polishes, I tend to avoid using them unless I need a specific color, or I'm using it as a base of sorts. In this case, the lavender was only a base for the glitters.

One example of such women, is Cleopatra, who “…favored a deep rust red” (Toselli, p.9). Women of lower stations “…were permitted only pale hues” (Toselli, p.9). Pales hues refers to light colors. Over the years different ingredients were utilized to create nail stain, varnish all otherwise known as nail polish. According to Toselli, the mixture of Arabic gum, egg whites, gelatin, and beeswax was used by the Chinese. “They also used a mixture of pulped rose for color, or orchid and impatiens petals combined with alum, which, when applied to mails overnight, left a pinkish, reddish stain” (Toselli, p.9). First, choose the right eyeshadow colors that are going to bring the natural eye color. For the blue eyes, go with warm colors such as oranges, reds, and golds. Girls with brown eyes can go with blues and violet. For have green eyes, choose from purples, violets, and pinks. For girls with hazel eyes, you have a combination of green and brown, so you can play around with a few colors to bring out either the green or the brown in your hazel eyes depending on the color you like best. The first things to do before applying the eyeshadow is to make sure that the eyelids are primed. The primer will make the eyelids smooth and the oil does not come through it and it will make the eyeshadows in place for a lot longer and will bring out the colors. To apply the primer on the eyelids use your finger to blend it so that it will cover all the eyelids. The second thing is to choose the eyeshadow color that match’s your eye color. Now for the moment every tie dyer waits for, It is time for the unveiling. With rubber gloves, take the shirt out of the zip lock bag. There are two options for rinsing the t-shirt. The first is to take the rubber bands off the shirt, unwrap the shirt, and begin ringing the shirt in the sink under cold water. The other option is to rinse the shirt first, remove the rubber bands, and then unwrap. As a warning, the water will turn black as a result from the mixture of the dyes. It is impossible for all of the dye to bond with the shirt, but enough of the dye will remain. Continue rinsing the shirt until the water runs clear. If done right the pattern will be revealed. The last step is to wash the shirt in the washing machine.
Pat or squeeze it lightly with a towel after washing, and never vigorously rub it. Refrain from using a blow dryer because heat can damage the hair and cause a lower lifespan for the wig, and increase shedding and bald patches as well. Lace wigs should never be brushed or styled while wet either.
Tye dying is pretty messy so I recommend doing this outside. The dye will stain your clothes and furniture so before you start, spread a plastic table cloth out and change into clothes you do not mind getting dirty. Remember to wear gloves to avoid dying your hands. First, wash your t-shirt before dying it so the colors absorb better and last longer. Next, fill a bucket with warm water and soak the shirt in the bucket, then wring the shirt out. Then spread the shirt out on a flat surface with the back of the shirt facing up. The most basic tye dying design to master is the spiral. For this design, use a wooden clothes pin or your finger to pinch the middle of the shirt and turn it clockwise to create a spiral. Make sure the spiral stays flat so the shirt forms a “pie” shape. Next, take multiple rubber bands and wrap them around the shirt to keep the spiral shape. The rubber bands will crisscross to look like slices of pie. Turn the “pie” shirt over to ensure the rubber bands are good on the back as
In step four, I like to apply something called a bronzing powder. The bronzing powder comes in a variety of shades, but I use the shade that is one-tone darker than my natural color; to give my face a warmer or tan look. I’m very fair-skinned, which is why I apply the bronzing powder. However, women with darker skin tones may not need to apply bronzer. I apply the bronzing powder with what is actually called a powder brush. It’s a large, soft brush that allows me to elegantly apply the bronzing powder on my forehead, both sides of my face, and my chin. After my bronzing powder is evenly brushed on my face, I then proceed to step
