Drop Tower I was eight years old when it was my very first time at King’s Island. It had been a very exciting day so far. The weather was perfect, the sun was shining, yet it was very crowded. My grandma, aunt, brother and my three cousins came with me. We rode rides and watched my aunt and my brother do a fun ride where you fly around with strings holding you up on your stomach like superman. The summer light was finally fading after being at the park the whole day. I had dared myself to ride the drop tower. So, my family agreed to do the terrifying ride with me. As we were leaving the park, I remembered my dare so we all stepped into the horribly long line and impatiently waited. Five minutes, ten minutes, fifteen minutes. It seemed to take forever and then, finally it was our turn. We got on the ride, super excitedly and picked our seats which were a vibrant yellow . I sat next to my older cousin, Sallie. She was nine back then. The second I sat in the seat of the ride, I immediately thought that I wanted to turn back, but I forced myself to stay on the ride. Mainly because I didn’t want to get made fun of by my family for turning down my own dare. Then, the man that worked the ride came around …show more content…
That’s when I knew there was no turning back. There was no countdown so, when the ride jerked the first time, I was so shocked, like a zebra when
was on my golden birthday. I was turning 5 and I had never been to
It was a bright sunny day and the lake looked like glass, perfect to go water skiing. My dad, brother, and I decided to go get the boat ready for our trip. We had to get the sunscreen, refreshments, and water skis. Once we all got in the boat, we had to untie the ropes that were tied to the boat and the dock and lead the boat out of the dock without it colliding into the dock..
We sat down, on the ride, and the warm bars hugged around our chest. . I screamed one million times more than the little kids sitting next to me. The day went on and the sweet winds danced through the air. The excitement of Bailey, I, and the other people grew as we approached the bigger rides. After riding everything, the sky was starting to go to sleep. Because my stomach was in a whirl, I had to face my fear. We were standing in line of the Top Thrill Dragster. When I was standing there I was nervous with big eyes and my jaw wide open it could touch the ground.
Nevertheless, before I knew it, it was our turn to ride the Cork Screw. As soon as I entered onto the platform, I bolted towards the first car seat of the roller coaster. Following me slowl...
Handshoe had to get all of the tickets and drink bracelets. Next we got inside and Me, Landon, and Zach got a locker so we didn't have to carry around our bags all day. So the we go to our first ride of the day but Zach was to scared to get on anything so he just waited, we got on the Corkscrew, and it had a ton of twists and turns. After that we just walked around for a while, but then landon got to scared to get on anything else and so it was just me. So me and Landon were supposed to go on this ride called the Magnum, so i got into one of the cars and then i told Landon to come on and he said ha ha, no, and so i was stuck on this ride all by myself and i was kinda scared. After what landin did to me i just found another group to ride rides with and so i found Brandon Chase's group and just rode rides with them and Bradlee Kinnard, We rode The Rougarou, The Millennium Force, and a ton of other rides, and while on most of the rides i lost my voice and got sunburned. Then it was time to
We were traveling thought all the beautiful places and cities in the country. During our vacation, one day we stopped at a restaurant in a small town. As we were eating, my 16-year-old cousin said to me hurry up, finish your meal and we’ll go play outside. I was a little boy just turned six years. I was excited to go play outside with my cousin, so I was the first one to finish with my meal.
I was so excited. I could hardly breathe through the hour drive it took to get there. I was squished between my two ten-year-old best friends in the back seat of a white Saturn, but I didn't care. I was practicing over and over in my head what I was going to say to all the smart-alecky adults who would tell me I was too young to ride the water slides. I was simply going to reply, "Actually I'm ten, going on eleven."
On that fateful day in March, I was a couple months shy of my third birthday. My family and I lived in New Mexico at the time and were renting a house with an outdoor in-ground pool. The day was beautiful. I was outside with my oldest sister Rachel and my father. Rachel was diligently reading curled up on a bench that sat against the house, and my father was mowing the backyard. My mother and my other sister were in the house. Off to one side of the house there was a group of large bushes. I was playing over there with one of her large cooking pots, off in my own little world. At one point while amusing and en...
When my brothers went down it, my sister and I would just watch. So many people would fall down it because it was icy, even my dad. He never wipes out. So that was a big no for me. I was terrified of it. I would get butterflies and tickles in my stomach just looking at it. It was the last day and almost time to go. I don't want to break my leg when I’ve made it this far. But somehow, somehow, I have no idea how, my brothers convinced me to go down. I was at the top of the mountain. A train roaring by just at the end off it, with the wind blowing in my face, deciding to go down this monster or not. Just like that I just went forward. Literally. I did just a couple little turns, but other than that I just went straight down that thing. I passed all my siblings and almost hit a poor old man that was stuck. I sped down that thing so fast that I thought I was going to die if I made one mistake. I finally reach the ground, turned my head to say something to my sister, to see that they weren’t there. I look up at the top to see my sister and two brothers stopped on the middle of the hill with their skis and poles sliding down the hill, with my sister sliding down with them! It was the funniest sight I have ever
I have always been fascinated by carnival rides. It amazes me that average, ordinary people eagerly trade in the serenity of the ground for the chance to be tossed through the air like vegetables in a food processor. It amazes me that at some time in history someone thought that people would enjoy this, and that person invented what must have been the first of these terrifying machines. For me, it is precisely the thrill and excitement of having survived the ride that keeps me coming back for more.
Amusement parks are by far one of the most thrilling places on earth. As you wait in a long line to get in park, you can hear numerous kids, adults, and tourist shouting off the top of their lungs due to a tremendous jaw-dropping drop on their beloved roller coasters.
Then, something happened, something just clicked and I started to enjoy the ride not be scared of it. I started to laugh and stick my hands up and my aunt looked happy as well. We went everywhere. We twisted and turned and looped upside down, it was so much fun! We got off after going for what seemed like nothing it seemed like time had stopped while we were on there then Snap! Just like that we pulled into the station and the seats opened as we slowly got
Never ending queues weaved and meandered through the swarm of people away from the attractions in a random route. People, families, boyfriends and girlfriends stand idle and lethargic, waiting in line patiently for the hurricanes of fear and enjoyment to ride upon them, listening to the squeals of both horror and excitement increasing in volume as the ride turns and twists, goes round the loop-de-loop and curves in every direction.
It was a warm and windy day in Colorado to go river rafting in duckies. My dad and my brother both convinced me to go on a duckie rafting trip with them. Standing there wondering to myself how could they have ever convinced me to do this. There I was standing nervously at the launching area to go into a river in a small, flimsy, and an inflatable kayak into a windy rough river. Before we launched our instructor gave told us how to navigate and what to do if we fell out and lost our boat.
“You are about to discover what lies beyond the fifth dimension, beyond the deepest, darkest corner of the imagination, in the Tower of Terror.” The twilight zone’s: tower of terror was finished building July 22, 1994, and the queue lines have been booming ever since. With a ride this popular and constantly being run, there is bound to be malfunctions in the safety systems. Disney prevents such malfunctions from happening, fortunately. Even though there are low counts of injuries on this iconic ride, there can still be improvements to the safety protocols, because the history of the ride shows that change is possible, there are different safety features on other drop rides, and the safety protocols, at
