Being Fully Human "One act of simple human kindness can make a real difference." For example, one can make a short and tender call to an acquaintance and save this person's future career or even hisher life during that call. A few weeks ago from the innermost of my heart, I felt a premonition. Which I felt my heart was passing a message to me: "call your friend who is studying in London for her degree." At that moment I suddenly realized that I had not contacted her for at least six months, which is not the correct way to treat friends. Nevertheless, I am glad that I made this phone call to her, as we are old friends. However, on the other hand I was given her bad news. She told me unspeakable things; she was being deceived by her boyfriend, as well as has asked to leave their little lovely flat immediately. Besides these ugly things, the upper most thought in my mind was she might fell abandoned by society, and do something unimaginable to herself, like give up her studies, or even to put an end to her young and beautiful life. I was very glad and pleased, that this phone call turned her negative thoughts into very positive ones! I believe what I did at the time seemed like a piece of cake to me, but I was a powerful thing happening for her. Hence, now I know the reason why people always said "keep in touch", because with this connection I made a huge influence on a person unconditionally and unknowingly. In other words, I am glad that I am a human being, because I can use my kindness for people who need help, and make a real difference.
In a short story called, “Thank you ma’am”, the author is trying to convey the theme, or message, of the importance of showing random acts of kindness towards others to help institute change. Mrs.J show one act of kindness when she washes his face. Another when she makes Roger food at her house. Mrs.J is kind and shows multiple examples throughout the story.
“Making a Difference” by June Callwood is an expository essay created to inspire the reader to make a change in the world around them, and to stand up for what they believe in. By just doing simple, positive things, people can make a huge impact on their lives and the lives of people around them. June Callwood, author of “Making a Difference”, changes the way many people see the world by describing scientific research and telling the stories of people who performed small, random acts of kindness that made a huge difference in people’s attitudes and the community around them.
Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner provides incredibly valuable insight into the intertwining concepts of identity and personal happiness, as does A Complicated Kindness by Miriam Toews. Undeniably, a healthy cognisance of personal identity is crucial to mental tranquility and happiness. Insecurity, for example is unilaterally viewed as an unsettling character flaw precisely because of the inherent implication of untrue personal identity. Accurately understanding one’s true personal identity is the backbone of happiness, as seen in The Kite Runner and A Complicated Kindness. Furthermore, it can be said that personal flaws, strengths and collectivist mentalities surrounding both Amir and Nomi’s characters ultimately contribute to their respective happiness or lack thereof, at the end of both stories.
It felt great to know that people were supporting us and wanted to hear our story. I felt really hopeful and so proud of my daughter.
Even though history provides us with numerous situations that become worse, because of hasty actions, everyday life lends us with an infinitely greater number. Many times a snap at a brother or a disrespectful reply, has an equally negative impact. While these seemingly harmful acts do not necessarily happen on purpose, they come as a result of instinctive decisions from within the heart. In fact, each of us commit these hasty decisions, and, as a result, we often disrupt the relationships that matter the

The Effect of Solute Concentration on the Rate of Osmosis Aim: To test and observe how the concentration gradient between a potato and water & sugar solution will affect the rate of osmosis. Introduction: Osmosis is defined as, diffusion, or net movement, of free water molecules from high to low concentration through a semi-permeable membrane. When a substance, such as sugar (which we will be using in the experiment we are about to analyse), dissolves in water, it attracts free water molecules to itself, and in doing so, stops them from moving freely. The effect of this, is that the concentration of (free) water molecules in that environment goes down. There are less free water molecules, and therefore less water molecules to pass across a semi-permeable membrane, through which sugar molecules and other molecules attached to them are too big to diffuse across with ease.
One day, I was walking to the store and a dog ran up to me, barking. I was scared, because when dogs run towards you barking they are soon to attack. So, I jumped on top of a car, and the dog continued to bark as well as it looked left and right. I looked in the same direction as the dog and noticed an elderly woman on the floor shaking. There was no one around to help her so I jumped off the car and ran to her. The dog followed me, still barking. When I got to her, her eyes were rolling to the back of her head, and she was still shaking. I was asking questions like, “Ma’am what’s wrong?” and “Do you need an ambulance” not knowing what was wrong with her. After a few moments, she could respond to me. She began screaming “Where is my dog.” I asked her questions like, “What color dog?”, and “What kind of dog?” She described the dog, and it so happened to have been the dog that ran towards me barking. She told me that she was okay, and that she was on her way home, but I would not let her go. I got a little of her medical history, helped her up, and called the ambulance. The ambulance soon arrived, and needed to take her to a hospital. I took her dog, and followed the ambulance so that she could be with her dog, and to know that she was okay. I felt very good after I did this because I catered to her when she was in
During my time with her, we got to talk about God and she asked me how I am not worried and afraid of where the world is going, and I told her that I have trust in God’s plan, I know he is by my side and that this is not our permanent home, our home is in heaven with Jesus. Saying this to her and having this conversation appeared to brighten her spirits, and she asked me to pray for her, Which I do every night.

I enjoyed helping others solving a variety of problems since it is challenging and interesting. When I was a young boy, I was admiring the people who volunteering in the society since every volunteer told me it is interesting and satisfying after helping others. I started to find any chance helping others until once a day I met an old lady who taking the subway alone and seems restless. Nobody going to ask her about her problem but I did. Then I found that she forgets which station her should get off. Fortunately, I found a note in the lady’s pocket which is a phone number. I made a call to that number and her daughter answered. In the first place, the old lady had Alzheimer disease so that she forgets the station. Finally, I helped her back to her home and I felt a sense of happiness after helping her. From then on, I started to helping others and volunteering since It could not only help others out of trouble, but also enjoyed the sense of happiness after the problem was
Small acts of kindness can really influence someone else's life. For example, I was once on a toll bridge and the person in front of us paid our toll for us, so we paid the toll for the car behind us. That could really help out someone who did not have enough change scraped together to pay the toll. Small acts of kindness can influence someone else's life by changing their perspectives, turning their day around if they're having a bad day, and make others want to be kinder to each other. Little by little we can spread kindness throughout the world.
There are strengths I always knew I had, such as kindness, that I didn’t know how to use to it’s highest effect. Then there were strengths that I just didn’t know how to use at all, such as forgiveness and mercy. It is difficult to hone such abstract states of being in oneself and I know I’ll have work harder and devise new plans and ideas to strengthen these traits and others. I believe that the process of strengthening each was beneficial to my well being as I focused on inward strength as well as outward. I can only hope that my efforts touched someone else as deeply as doing them touched
The most joyous season of the year in our house is Christmas. All the family gets together, gifts are exchanged and we give thanks for all that we have. This Christmas however, was one that I will never forget. If it weren't for the help of a stranger coming to my rescue, my holidays would have been ruined. He reminded me that a little kindness really does go along way.
