Two weeks ago, I had a wonderful trip with my family in Sydney where I had never been before. We visited many places in Sydney and had fun in here. The weather was so nice, it was a warm and sunny day, the sunlit clouds drifted across the clear blue sky, which made us want to go more places and enjoy the sightseeing. But my impression of Sydney changed immediately after I went out with my aunt at 1: 00 a.m. to walk around the city and watch the picture of Sydney at night. At that time, I saw many things happened and I realized Sydney in the midnight is totally different than I had imagined before. So I started to observe people around me at that time and I concentrated on their behavior. Furthermore, in my observation, I will write about people …show more content…
But it’s just a beautiful picture they see in the morning when the sun is still shining. The truth is everything will reveal when we can see it’s dark side. And Sydney’s dark side will show when is at night and people can do whatever they want that the control is unstrengthened. I went to many places in the city, but there were three places caught my attention about people behaviors in there, the first one is the China Town, the second is Westfield in Pitt St & Market St and the last one is 7eleven. I saw the way people behaved at those places and I wondered how could they do that thing without any hesitation. They threw trash everywhere, even the trash cans were staying right there, in front the place they threw the trash. Some of them had really bad behaviors in the store, they really didn’t care about being caught by their bad action which was using stuff and didn’t pay for it. They even cursed and expressed the bad attitude about following the rule which is a simple thing to do is stay on the line. At that time, I couldn’t say to them any advice about it, if I talk to them about it, will they change their mind and do the right …show more content…
I moved to the snack shelf and attempted to look some snack for tomorrow trip. Suddenly, there were two guys appeared in the store talked loudly and walked really loudly that they afraid everyone didn’t know about their existence. One of the two guys came to the cosmetic shelf and took something, he must be around twenty, he looks really tall with a curly medium hair, which has a length to his shoulder, he was wearing a sleeveless T-shirt with a short pant and wearing a slipper. His face looked really sulky and his body gesture made me feel like he was ready to hit someone with his muscular arms. That man looked around carefully and then opened the cover of the deodorant, he shook the deodorant and sprayed it into his armpits as quickly as he could. The other man went to the frozen beverage self – service and poured out two cups of Slurpee. At the first time, I thought those men would run away and didn’t pay for two cups of Slurpee but actually, they didn’t do that. Those men stayed there to pay money and drank Slurpee. When I and my aunt waited and queued to pay for our things I heard that man who used the deodorant for free said some inappropriate words about how he hates staying on the line and this was ridiculous to do that. The other man stayed next to him shaken his head to approve that thinking. Then we paid the money and went
When the day came to leave I was woken at the crack of dawn. I was keen to get to Blackpool as swiftly as possible, not only for the football that was ahead of us but also for the famous Pleasure Beach. The coach picked us up at around 8 am and in we crammed into an already full coach. The journey down was full of laughter and friendly joking from the parents. That day, it was particularly hot and inside the coach a number of people were becoming uncomfortable. I was unaffected by the warmth inside the coach, with my earphones in I relaxed and paid more attention to the vast countryside we were passing through. The vivid scenery blew me away, with colossal hills to calm rivers that we met on the journey.
This group was of three individuals two females and one male between the ages of eighteen and twenty. The male of the group was in the center between the girls. One female was standing on the right side of the male while the other was on his left. The young adult to the right of where the male was sitting was standing leaning against the charging bar inward towards the young man, while the other young adult was sitting on a chair next to the male. There were a lot of facial gestures of raised eyebrows, and indented eyebrows by the young male. He however smiled and laughed regularly, possibly indicating he was nervous in some way. The young lady to his left was very touchy feely, from rubbing his back, his left leg, even his hair, which made him laugh, lean forward and sideways as if trying t o retreat. The girls stared at each other girl with a glared, while the girl on his right moved closer standing within his personal space. The girl to the left put her arms around the young mans necks at which time he mouthed something to the other girls and smiled. The three were talking back and forth the young girls arms and hand were moving back and forth, the facial expressions began to change from that of smiling to that of anger, and distrust. During the exchange the male became distracted by other persons in the mall; not paying attention to the females around him, as they moved closer to each
They all loaded onto the bus at 8:52 A.M right after P.E. Then Mr. OJ stepped on the bus and told them that they need to respect the people also, other people there. Then he stepped off and the bus driver closed the door to take off. They pulled on to the interstate to head to Kansas City. When they started to get on the interstate, they noted there weren’t many cars on the interstate as usual. After driving for hour or so they weren’t any more cars they were the only ones.
At the age of seven, my life changed forever. I was no longer living in my native country; I was now a fragment of the millions of immigrants who come to the United States in search of the American Dream. At the time, my father had recently lost his job and my mother was unemployed, which caused incredible financial stress for my family. My father decided to risk his life crossing the Rio Grande River for our family to have a better life and greater rewards.
America, Almost every single person on earth has a dream of living in a country full of freedom, liberty, and opportunity. The United States has been providing these benefits ever since it was founded a few hundred years ago. So when I found out that my family would be coming to America, I had already started planning my future of growing up here. Just like any other person, I was feeling enthusiastic and a little nervous of leaving my native country and coming to America to start a better life. I was completely lost in my thoughts of happiness, that I became unaware of all the difficulties that my family and I would face once we step into our new lives. Among these difficulties were the change of language, change of system, and the variety of different cultures.
On February 21, 2016, I, Deputy John Arnold, went to 11747 West 105th Street South to assist another deputy in reference to a fight in progress.
I received a voice mail today from Sean McKnight stating he has a meeting setup with Ken Barber and some other individuals on the executive board of Illinois Joining Forces (IJF). I felt it was my duty to inform the group about some important facts that Mr. McKnight is very good at hiding. I met Mr. McKnight during my time at NIU. I just served my time as the NIU Veterans Club president and decided it was time to let someone else take the helm. Matthew Galloway the current Veterans Club president introduced the club to Sean McKnight at a veterans club meeting. Sean came in and presented himself as a seasoned veteran’s advocate who has many connections throughout the state of Illinois and Washington D.C. He promoted his organization that he was starting Warriors Guarding Warriors as a revolutionary concept that has not been thought of as for yet throughout the veteran community. Finally, he offered his services to any veterans having trouble with VA benefits or the medical process. At the time we did not know that he was not officially certified to help veterans, and nor did he actually know the proper process or paper work needed to help our fellow veterans. Sean offered to be the Veterans Clubs mentor. The club held a vote and
Moving from a highly diverse community to a less diverse community has to be the weirdest yet interesting culture shock I ever had to deal with. As a young child, I did not know about the outside world. I thought everyone rides the bus or the metro, graffiti on the wall is normal and traffic wouldn’t matter as much since everything I needed was within walking distance sometimes. There were shocking things I learned once I moved to Nebraska.
All my life ,I’ve always wanted to be someone in life who can actually make a difference to this world in a positive way. Ever since I was a little girl I pushed myself to always best I can be just . I lived in a town outside Los Angeles, California , it was called Van Nuys,California. The elementary school (Kittridge Elementary) I had went to was in a low income area, mainly spanish community had lived in the area I was living in at the time .I had a lot of friends (mainly mexicans) I focused a lot on being on time for school , staying on task in class, and finishing my homework. At such a young age I had felt such ambition and was doing very good for myself. At the age of 10 was when reality start to really hit me , even though I was very young I started to see things differently.
Waves I am a raging inferno of emotions. When I feel, I feel every single part of whatever it may be, even the ones they might think to be most insignificant. When I am cold, it feels as if hell has frozen over Earth. When I am sad, I do not find an ounce of happiness in the whole world.
As I walked down the sidewalk, my nose picked up the salty scent of the sea breeze. I looked ahead and saw the gleaming beach in the far distance. Before me, the tranquil city along with the endless blue sea sandwiched the golden beach that stretched across for miles. Then my eyes were grasped by the incredible beauty of the city skyscrapers that stood hundreds of meters tall, and they probably had also captured the sight of many other tourists. Some people were jogging and others were bike riding Just as the yellow sun rises from behind the buildings. It’s easy for many people t...
I listen to the constant roar of motors as the dirt bikes and go-carts race around the small track behind me. For a few (usually uneventful) hours every Tuesday, I work at the ticket and rider registration booth; collecting money and making everyone sign the if-you-die-you-can’t-sue-us forms. As usual, I was signing in a few riders and spectators at my station; as I listened to my ipod in one ear I completed my task that I had done hundreds of times before. However, this time something distracted me, something that made me lose my rhythm in completing the current customer’s registration. That something turned out not to be the usual bike, go-cart, or anything with a gas or break. That something turned out to be a guy. He stood in the line and watched the motocrossers lay the bikes sideways in the air and land it, making it look easy as pie. However, at that moment I couldn’t have cared less about the motocross race going on right next to me, there could have been a massive bike pile up and it wouldn’t have brought me out of this odd trance. Regarding looks, he seemed absolutely perfect. His skin was a nice tan probably from riding in the sun, his eyes were piercing blue and he was the perfect height. I quickly realized that I had been ignoring the customer that I was currently helping, and kept stealing glances his way to take another look. I finished up the current customer and sent him on his way, probably wondering why this girl was so distracted the entire time. Never the less I worked through the next customer quickly in order to have a chance to talk to this mysterious guy. I kept stealing glances over at him until finally it was his turn to be signed in. As he walked up I met his gaze and he smiled. He looked even more beau...
After countless hours of uncomfortable naps and tasteless meals between flights, we finally arrived at the unfamiliar land of America. Leaving all our dear friends and families behind, I was told that we came here in hope of a better future, my future specifically. I was never really socially active and at the time, English was a whole new concept that I have yet to understand. The inability to communicate with other makes it even harder for me to express myself and it mold my personality to become more antisocial than I ever was. There’s always this uneasy feeling that linger when someone talk to me and I cannot give them a response and it’s even harder to say something because I was afraid of making a mistake and make a fool out of myself.
Throughout someone’s life they will go to many places with their family, friends, another relatives. I have been on a few vacations that have made a lasting impact on my life. But one of the most memorable vacations I have experienced was with my cousins. I went to goa beach. Most of you probably don’t know about that beach but it is a very famous one in south India. I enjoyed myself to the fullest. The beach environment was enlightening. I would not have wanted to take this trip with anyone other than my cousins. We had a great time on the ocean sands and swimming in the ocean everyday made this vacation unforgettable.
An Unforgettable Trip - Personal Writing I finally arrived in Pakistan on a hot, June morning after nine tiring days. hours. The time is a lot. We finally arrived in a village and the heat beyond words was irritating me. I looked around me, there were trees and greenery.
