When you are asked what is your purpose, do you draw a blank or can you answer immediately? Some people have experienced events in their lives that have allowed them to know exactly who they are supposed to be. Sometimes it can take many years of trial and error to finally figure out who we are. However, some people will never know why they were truly created. I may still be on the journey of discovery, but one thing is for sure; I know who I will always be no matter what. Mothers are like trees. Women are the trees of life, we create and give. Creating my baby was the best blessing I’ve ever received. June 2015 was the month that changed my life for the greater. I had such a beautiful wedding, the funniest honeymoon, and I found out I was going to be a mommy! The day I found out I went to church and the pastor picked this day to pray over his church and told us to pray about what we needed God to do for us. My husband prayed for his shoulder, and I prayed for a baby. I should have asked for a financial raise, because our prayer were answered a few hours later. I didn’t tell too many people about my pregnancy, not because I was ashamed, but because I didn’t want anyone's sympathy if anything bad was to happen. However, the few that did …show more content…
When I made it to the hospital, I figured they would just hook me up to the baby Doppler machine and check on him then send me on my way. Well, they told me I needed to be induced because his heart rate wasn’t stable. That day and night was so tough, and physically exhausting. Come to find out I’ve been experiencing labor for the past few days, but my body has difficulty dilating. March 3, 2016 early morning I experienced the worst pain in my life, at this moment I basically said “F” it give me that C-section, because we were getting
She checks me, and tracks my surges. My surges are not as frequent as earlier so she recommends for me to sit on the birthing ball. I sit up right on the birthing ball, and lean back on Poet for support and those surges are coming now. I tense up, and my midwife's assistant beautifully guides me through each surge, encouraging me to relax instead of tense up with each contraction. After a while of being on the birthing ball, I am guided to the bathroom, and I sit on the toilet for a few of the surges and finally I am ready to get in the tub and begin pushing. I felt like I was never going to meet our baby. I felt like our baby was
e. Tala - There's always a purpose to your life. You live for the same reason the way that some people die for some reasons. Where you are today is a combination of all your past actions, decisions, as well as those of the people around you and how they have affected
In addition, we can all help ourselves find the purpose in everything we do, especially when we are faced with many opportunities daily to decide between what’s convenient for us and our commitments to truth and reason.
To define one's purpose is at the very least human nature and at the very most the meaning of life. Humans seek the significance of existence and try to define it in many ways. There are thousands of religions and countless seminars to help people discover the point of human existence. The idea that we may all be irrelevant in the grand scheme of life or to the universe is not a popular position. In his short story "The Open Boat" Stephen Crane shows a universe that is unconcerned with the struggles of four men within a small boat lost at sea. Through the characters' experiences Crane shows the human struggle to survive as viewed in a naturalistic perspective as opposed to other prevalent 19th Century concepts.
Pregnancy can be an exciting and sometimes frightening experience for many women. It was a snowy Sunday afternoon, and I was not feeling very well. I remember all week long, every morning I felt nauseated. I was craving odd foods, and foods I normally would not eat together. I was on the phone with my best friend explaining to her how I was feeling. She said “It sounds like you are pregnant.” That thought never even crossed my mind until that moment. Sure enough she was right, I was pregnant for the first time. I was excited to have a baby and never realized how many emotions or complications can take place during a pregnancy. Everybody that I knew that had babies, had such wonderful experiences. Unfortunately, this happy moment became such a monumental, emotional and stressful time in my life. During my pregnancy, I went through many emotional experiences from almost losing my child, to the uncertainty of a birth defect and early delivery.
I remember the day she born. I was nervous for the simple fact that my life would never be the same. Soon no longer would I be known as just Ayanna, I would take on a new title. A title that I would share with so many woman, and after eight long hours of labor, I would now be known to the world as mommy.
So, I told my doctor I wanted to be induced. After all, my due date was only two weeks away and only five percent of women give birth on the day determined by their doctors. When I was finally there, I looked at the outside, the hospital was set in a suburban – like area, and when I went inside the building, I was in a welcoming ultramodern facility. I went straight to the labor and delivery section where they said my doctor had gone out of town; nobody believed that I was supposed to be induced that day. It took them like 15 minutes to confirm what I had told them, to finally decide to take me to a room to connect all kinds of tubes to my body. I went into the room; it looked very comfortable, but it was freezing. I lay on the typical hospital bed, one of those that make sleeping and resting easier.
So, I did, I took leave from my job, surround myself with my family and focused on getting ready for my son. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough, I found myself back in the hospital in less than a month. This time I was diagnosed with placenta previa; a rare condition caused by the placenta implanting low in the uterus, covering the cervix. I would spend several days in the hospital and receive steroid injections to help develop the baby’s lungs in case of premature labor. Due to the potential risks of major hemorrhage, fetal distress, premature labor, Hysterectomy or even death: the doctor not only put me on strict bed rest, he also recommended we contact the red cross to have them get my husband sent back home immediately.
The birth of my daughter changed my life in so many positive ways. Although, finding out I was pregnant at 20 made me nervous, I knew that as long as I thought about all the good things that would come out of having a baby I would be fine. First, I thought about all the joy my baby would bring me when she comes into this world. Then, I thought about all the new things I would learn as first time mom.
Becoming a mother was the most important day, this was the day my identity shined through. I am proud to say I am his mother. Not having that bond with my mother gave me the strength to be stronger. I have this bond with him that can never break I’m the one he can turn to when he needs to talk. He lights up every time he sees me and it melts my heart it lets me know that I am doing my
Even before my first tear hits the ground, my mother is there to wipe it away. My mother feels my pain before I can even realize it. She understands my needs before I can even think of them. That’s why we call her a mother. My mother has been an extraordinary influence on my life and always will be. She’s the kind of mom who would always take time out and care for her four children and the mom who would never let her hardships in her life distress her kids. My mother has always been a very strong role model to me, and growing up with someone like her to look up to has changed my life in many ways. She has helped me grow physically, intellectually, and considerately. She taught me to always love, care, and give back to the people I am grateful for.
Becoming a mother has been the best part of my life. I became a mother at a very young age. I had no idea what to expect and was not in the least prepared for the journey that lie ahead. I have truly embraced motherhood and enjoy all the wonderful things it has taught me. While living through motherhood, I have found that it can teach you the most valuable lessons there are to learn. Being a mother has taught me how to have patience. I have also learned that being a mother takes a lot on mental and physical strength. My children have been the best to teach me how to juggle many tasks at once. They have made me strong. Even through some unexpected turns, I have learned how to get through hard times and really learn what it means to never give up. My children are my biggest blessing, and I hope they will learn valuable lessons through me. The skills I have learned from being a mother have helped me in my college journey.
I am the third child out of four in my family, I have one older sister, an older brother and then a younger brother. I was born on January 20th 1997 in Clinton, Ontario. This means I was probably conceived the middle of May sometime. My mother did not take pre-natal pills before I was born because I was not really expected, but she was taking vitamins during this time to stay healthy. My mother did see our family physician while she was pregnant with me. She saw the doctor every month for the first and second trimester and then she saw him every other week in the last trimester. In these checkups they would see if I was gaining weight, check blood pressure, blood levels and just to see if everything was healthy. My mom did not have any screening tests done to see if there was anything wrong because it was not very common to get screening done in our
