Personal Narrative: College Raptor

At whatever age someone decides to start planning their future, it is often a little difficult. When I decided that I wanted to attend college, I didn’t know where to start. Even with the help of teachers, parents, and counselors, trying to find the right colleges to apply to was a bit of a challenge. In spite of this, I have enough resources that helped me develop a solid plan for applying to college.

Of course one of the great resources I used was College Raptor. The hardest part of figuring out where to go for college is finding a one that offers the major I want. Before I tried College Raptor, I already had a few colleges that I wanted to apply to, but I felt like I needed a bigger range to choose from. I was worried that I wasn’t going

to find enough schools that I could apply to that I could attend, but College Raptor provides me with a list of schools that offered MIS.

Another very important part of looking for a college to attend, is the price. There are so many people in the world who just can not afford the price of a college or university. Many people do not even know how to decide if a college is worth the tuition. Bring from a single parent home, I can not afford pay for college, and I was very worried about how to pick a good college with a reasonable tuition. The great thing about College Raptor is that it asks how much money you or your family can offer to help pay for college when searching. This was so helpful to me because most of the colleges I was applying to had tuitions that were over 40,000 a semester. I wanted to find at least one college that was more reasonable and I did with College Raptor.

Trying to find a college that’s right for a specific person is hard. College Raptor helped me expand my choices. It asked my preference for location, size of the school, and even the size of the city. The college search engine was a great way for me to see how good my chances were to get into a certain school. This feature was a great help in boosting my confidence. Overall College Raptor may not have provided me with the definite college I want to attend it did however provide me with a greater list of options.
