It was a cold morning. Dark and rainy. I woke up at 3:00am, packed the last items, and left to the airpot to catch my fight. Arriving at the airport got me quite excited for this vacation (I had no idea what was in store for me). We checked in, got food, waited for the plane, boarded the plane, took off. On the plane, I sat next to my cousin who was a few years older than me, thinking it wouldn't be so bad - oh boy was I wrong. Not only did we have to deal with our annoying sisters, we also had: an elderly lady needing to use the restroom every 10 minutes, a crying baby infant of us, and a little boy who love to kick the seat. Finally, the plane landed in, the ever so beautiful, Florida. As I thankfully got off the airplane, I went to go …show more content…
I decided to go to the other side of the luggage belt only to find one single luggage on the belt. Mine. Exiting the airport, I ran through the rain, sprinted across the street, and dodged into the parking garage to stay dry. After the car was ready for my family and I, we headed over the the hotel. Arriving at the hotel, I checked in, went up to my room, unloaded my luggage, got changed, relaxed on the couch. I decided to take a nap - that didn't work out of course. Slowly dozing off, I went and I grabbed my phone; I grabbed my headphones; I grabbed my blanket. While snuggled up against the window, my cousins and sisters were just across the hall, although it sounded like they were beside me, snoring as loud as possible. This was not okay. How was I ever supposed to sleep with the people snoring, the rain falling, and the horrific thundering. I would much more rather be on a relaxing beach watching the beautiful ocean, the joyful children, and enjoying the perfect weather. This could not be happening. I just had a 3 hour flight sitting next to the loudest baby crying and now I couldn't even fall asleep for one, small, short nap. The phone started to ring so i quickly ran to pick it up expecting it too be the front
However, the nightmare wasn’t over. They got us on the plane at about 2a.m because the plane wasn’t ready. I couldn’t get on the plane because I kept buzzing when I passed the medal detectors, so that took another 20 minutes. Then we are on the plane and the plane isn’t moving, and we are waiting and waiting and no explanation. After a while the plane begins to move. It when around the run way and then they tell us we must get of the plane. It needed more service repairs. At this point I’m like give me my money back, and in return they call the cops because we were making to much noise. They fix the problem around 5:30a.m and we are off again. Keep in mind we haven’t eaten and no food was given. I didn’t even get water. I thought this was a sign of god and my time had come for me to die, but I made it there in one piece.
...The luggage was already in the car then we got in. As we pulled away, I kept looking at my house as far as I could see it. All of our friends and relatives were coming to the airport. We got to the airport. We were running little bit late. Therefore, we had to hurry to get our luggage and check in. No one else could enter the airport but customers so I looked at all of my relatives and friends one last time. They all were crying. We had never lived that far from each other. We boarded the plane, and all I could do was cry. I made my flight to Ohio.
Today was the day, the day that my parents and my little sister and I were going to go to Cancun, Mexico. Our flight left at 5:00 am, so we woke up bright and early at 2:00 am. We needed to be there 2 hours earlier and we still had to put our luggage in the car and drive there. We arrive at the Park and Go. We pay them and we get on the shuttle to take us to the airport. We get through security and go to a little cafe. My parents get some coffee and my sister and I get a bagel with cream cheese. “We have to go to gate 12A,” I told them.
First, I had to take a flight from Phoenix to Los Angeles. Then when we arrived in Los Angeles we had to go through the security process to another country. I waited to a line that lasted for almost an hour, they checked my bags, asked for my passport, and patted me down. Soon I boarded my flight to London, England. As I walked onto the plane I realized this was the biggest planes I have ever seen. The plane was two stories and had multiple sections. I saw first class and wished I could have the luxury of sitting up in those giant spacious chairs. Sat down in my coach seat and dreaded this twelve hour flight of no leg room. I looked around to see all other girls from the west coast that also won All American. Once again anxiety flooded my body, I knew absolutely no one
That day came when it was vacation time, and believe me, I had thought about backing out many times. Unfortunately, the money was already paid which set my nightmares in stone. My mom, her husband, my little brother, my husband, and we were all waiting outside in the pitch-black morning for our taxi. I was not sure if it was the loss of sleep, or the commotion of getting ready, but we managed to have our luggage heaped up. The cool breeze swept over our bodies like tiny needle jabs, making us want a vacation even more then before. Fina...
We got to o’hare airport in Chicago so we can got to the excited trip to Hawaii. When I got on the plane I was scared and anxious cause I never been in a plane. When the plane started I started to panic and I also started to cry cause I was terrified. I started to feel better so I just ate food that my mom ordered for me. I was sitting separately with my sister and my stepdad, brother, and mom were sitting somewhere else. I tried to sleep it was very hard to sleep cause it was a tight space.
On the Final day we headed back to the airport and proceeded to board another plane. As I boarded the plane for a second time I wasn't scared anymore since I got over my fear of flying and not being scared of heights. I took my seat and the engines began to roar again, and a couple of minutes later we were in the air again heading back home. That entire experience completely changed my perspective of life and also my life because all along, I was nervous because of this being my first flight. This was partly because of never been on a plane before and not knowing what would happen. Also because of being afraid of heights, I had been scared of flying. However, once I accomplished those two roadblocks those fears went away, and I had a fun time. I got to accomplish something I never done before and make memories which will stay with me forever.
When I was 18 years old my friends and I thought that it would be a good idea to go on a road trip across the country. We lived in Rhode Island and we were going to head up to Florida for the week. I had told my parents that I was going on a service trip with the school because I knew that if my parents knew I would be spending the week in a villa in Florida with just my friends there was no way they would let me go. I had promised my elderly neighbour that I would walk her dogs the day we were supposed to leave so I was planning to drive up by myself a day later. The next morning, I set off to the nineteen-hour drive to Florida. The first couple of hours were fine, the traffic wasn’t bad. Then I hit the ten-hour mark and I was starting to
My mom came into my room at 3:30 in the morning because I had to finish packing and getting ready. Henk and Lizzie was going to pick us up in an hour to take get to the airport. I have been waiting for this day for a while now. I was so tired but I didn't care that I had to get up that early, I just wanted to get there. I haven't been to California before and was looking forward to being on the beach. We were meeting more people at the airport that was coming along with us. The flight really wasn't that long but I haven't been on a plane since I was 5 and I was 16 now, so I was kinda nervous about riding a plane. At least I wasn't as nervous as Todd because he has a big fear of being on planes. We boarded the plane and I started to not get so nervous because it was too late to freak out now. We landed in Denver, Colorado where we waited for our plane to take us straight to California. It felt like the whole day was going by so fast but slow at the same time.
As the airplane I was in went down to the landing strip, I was thinking of what I would do in Hawaii. I was going to go snorkeling at a place where my dad said a lot of fish and sea life lived. When we landed, we got to the baggage check where we got all of our baggage and gear. We then went to the car
I was so stressed due to school. I was just getting an assignment after assignment, I could never have my work done in time, and my brothers were mad due to, apparently yelling at them. I just didn't know what to achieve. Finally, for what seemed like a decade, I had finished half of my homework and calmed myself down. When I was finished my parents came in and told me that we were taking a trip somewhere, but that it was a surprise. They said to start packing in the mornings since we were leaving the next day and to pack hot weather clothes. I didn't literally know how to react, either we were leaving to a lifeless ancient place, or to a beautiful destination.
Staying one week in San Francisco was pleasant, in the fact that I visited my cousins, but my end destination was Hong Kong. We took a night flight and stayed a couple hours at the Taiwan airport to transfer to another airplane. I was frightened that the airplane would take off without us, but luckily nothing happened. Inside the airplane I was so excited, I kept asking my annoyed mom and grandma “Are we there yet.” In my memory, the view of the airplane, the night of Hong Kong was gorgeous and spectacular.
I sunk deeper into my covers as if it was possible to disappear from existence. Instantly wet covers meet my cheek and the familiar smell of home comes to me. I don’t remember how long I’ve been crying, my heart feels like an anchor was weighing it down. The words that keeps replaying in my head was I’m alone. I’m not good enough for him. He’s going to find someone better. I wish this is just a dream and things can go back to the way it was. But I knew I had to go to school. I had to stay strong to keep my tears from falling in school. I quickly looked for a pair of jeans, a hoodie, socks and my purple backpack. I turned the cold metal doorknob and headed outside, a rush of air hit my face. The moon was still in the dark sky, I liked walking
After we got off the airplane, we rented a car and drove to my Uncle Joe?s house. We finally got there and then we all went out to eat dinner. We went to some Italian restraunt and boy was it good. To this day, I have never tasted anything as good as the Veal Picata I had that day. I ate so much that I could hardly move and once I got back to my uncle?s, I just passed out and went to bed. I had a big and exciting day ahead of me. I was going to Universal Studios and I couldn?t wait.
My aunt, whom was already awake in the living room drinking her coffee and talking on the phone, was going to drop me off at the airport. Who she was talking to at 4:15am is beyond me, but she quickly finished her conversation when she saw me standing in the hall. We grabbed my bags, loaded them into the car, and we were ready to go. My aunt was teary eyed the whole drive there, both of us thinking about my niece, Audrey. She wasn’t even two at the time, not for another month, and she had already been through so much. My aunt pulled into the drop off area and we said our goodbyes. I had only been on a plane once before, two weeks prior but this time was different because I was alone.
