B-R-I-A-N On April 11, 1998, my parents named me Brian Flatley Jr. After careful consideration, I have concluded that these words best summarize my personality and strengths: The “B” stands for brother. In 2005, my little sister, Erin, was born. We have a strong relationship, and I do my best to provide a positive influence. However, the term brother extends beyond its literal interpretation; it extends to my whole family. My sister, mother, and father are the most important people in my life. Reasonable is the word I chose for “R.” In each situation, I strive to find a common ground and celebrate diversity. Ideally, the world should embrace each individual’s unique value. I believe imaginative would be a good fit for “I.” There is nothing
I love more than to express myself through the arts. Whether I am exploring 3D design, teaching myself how to play guitar and ukulele, or practicing a character for a musical, I enjoy engaging in these activities and connecting with others. “A” stands for attitude. A positive attitude is essential for achieving any endeavor. I view road blocks as a challenge and find motivation in overcoming these trials. A determined focus is unmatched in most situations. The final characteristic is novel for “N.” Each person exhibits different strengths and are faced with individual faults. I believe my skills and attitude will aid me in college. While I still have more to learn, I look forward to studying psychology and helping others in the process.
My full name is Jason Accardi Junior. I was confirmed in the Catholic Church at the age of 14 and received the name John Bosco for my confirmation Saint. The reason I was named Jason because of my father Jason. I do not have a middle name because my father does not have a middle name; therefore for me to be a junior, I could not have a middle name either. The reason my father wanted to name me after him was because it was the only name he could picture me as being. My mother wanted other names for me but my dad was determined and had his mindset to name me after him. He wanted to start a tradition or a legacy of the name Jason through the Accardi bloodline.
The two characters come to the realization that they do share a brotherly bond, and that the narrator cares deeply for his brother even after all the time apart. The narrator says, “I don’t give a damn wh...
...s her. In the English Standard Version Bible, Genesis 4:9 reads ‘Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know; am I my brother's keeper?”’ This verse really applies to me, not in a brotherhood way, but in a siblinghood way. Me being a guy, and my sister being a girl, I will never experience (hopefully) the pains of menstruation or childbirth, but I can try to connect with her in all the ways other than these two. I feel that I am my sister’s keeper, both literally and figuratively, simply because I am older than her, in addition to being her brother. My dad always makes it my job to be responsible for my sister. Though I may hate it, because it means me having to go with her to the mall even with her friends, I know there is nobody to blame but myself for this burden of being held accountable for my sister when we’re not at home.
The middle name that appears on my birth certificate is Cristina and I’m quite fond of my middle name because to me the name sounds utterly cheerful and friendly. Maria and Cristina complement each other. Many people when I tell them how my middle name is spelled they tend to believe my mom made a mistake and spelled my name incorrectly. The truth is she meant to spell it like that not because she decided to be slightly unique and spell my name without the letter h but because she decided to commemorate someone or something.

In “Scarlet Ibis”, We are introduced to the character Brother. With a name such as brother you can conclude that this character is most likely a relative of some sort to another character in the story. Where this is technically true, the character “Brother” doesn’t take the true role of being a brother until the very end of the story. This being said, Brother can be characterized as being psychotic and egocentric throughout the story. Although after some major events, Brother lives up to his name and can then be characterized as being heartfelt and broken.

Nothing could be worst than your dad bringing up "THE CONVERSATION." Starting at age 5 I loved playing soccer, running up and down the field, making moves and kicking balls to the back of the net was always the way to go. Soccer meant the world to me and especially playing with my best friends since the day I started. My days would go something like this, go to school, get home,do homework then get ready and go to a beautiful fun day at soccer! After soccer I would go home sit on the couch and eat.I was a lazy one. That's why I hoped my dad would never ever bring up this conversation.... But he did anyways.
SWISH! I turn my head to the right with a grin and see my mom cheering as I scored my first points of the season. The last game of the season I scored my first points of my middle school basketball “career.” Now sit back and relax as you read the story of how I got my first points in middle school basketball.
Sometimes being a brother or sister is better than being a superhero. The type of relationship siblings share varies throughout time. From being annoying brats always fighting with each other, to working a situation out together without parental guidance, and to sacrificing anything that benefits or helps out a sibling. The relationship between Jack and Algernon represent these phases that siblings experience throughout time. The 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries all have different norms of how a sibling relationship functioned. I will research the relationship between Jack and Algernon and how that ties into relationships between siblings in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
It was me and my friend in my car. We had drove over to St Louis, Missouri during the summer. We were 9 hours away when we had decided it was time to drive back home to Des Moines.
The meaning is that you are so close with each other, and know each other so well, that you can practically be considered siblings because of the knowledge you have about each other. A friend is someone you have hung out with once or twice. You may know who their “friends” are, but you don’t know everything about them, maybe even nothing at all. Friends are not people who are close. They are distant from each other but may hang out from time to time, but it is nothing serious. A brother is someone that you are constantly with and you can never leave their side. You are bound together by the connection that you have with each other. You spend so much time at each others houses that your parents have even begun becoming “friends” and maybe even are creating their own “brotherhood” because of how much they see each other because of
Every summer my family takes a trip to somewhere other than my hometown in boring ol’ Oklahoma. This particular year, 2012, we decided to go up north to Wyoming, U.S.A. Before this trip had occurred I had thought that Wyoming was a boring, flat state with nothing to do. When I got there, I realized I had been horribly wrong. It all started how most of our family vacations start, My Aunt Kim and Uncle Toby show up in the rental car (usually it was there personal car but this trip was a bit longer than usual) packed with all of their things. This particular time was early in the morning, about 7 o’clock to be exact, then the process of getting all of all of our things kicks into high gear. My brother Blake and I are frantically trying to get all of our things and our parents things into the car so we
