The best journey of my life so far was when I traveled to Hawaii for the Hawaii baseball World Series in July 2014. The team I went with was from San Diego and not one person from that team knew me besides the coach, which was my girlfriends grandpa. My best friend Mikey Alvarez and I had been chosen to play for the team and when I found out I was playing in Hawaii I was so excited I started to yell “Hawaii here we come,’’ with an extreme amount of excitement. Two weeks before my family and friends family went to Hawaii, we left to San Diego to meet up with the team. We left at the crack of dawn so that we would get there midday and it was very hot, especially because it was so packed in the car. Luckily I had nice ice cold refreshments to
keep me from heat exhaustion. As we got to my girlfriends grandpa's house, which we were spending the night at, I noticed how rich he was because he had fake grass in the front yard that was perfectly green. That night, my friend Mikey and I had met a couple guys from the team and on had shaggy hair, brown eyes and was about six feet tall. The others were about five feet tall and Chinese but very funny and filled with lots of laughter. We enjoyed a fun night of playing video games, eating chips, juicy hamburgers, and cracking jokes. The next morning we got packed up and headed towards the San Diego airport and met the rest of the team there. The whole team seemed to have liked me a lot because they told me I was funny and cool. Now that I knew that team liked me, I knew that my week long trip in a paradise would be amazing.
In 2009, my parents and I decided to travel to San Antonio, Texas for vacation. My parents and I have traveled there before, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back. With many places to see and do; my parents thought that we should go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It was at this theme park, where something happened that I would never forget.
Out of all the trips I have taken, Cancun was definitely the best. It was 2013 and I was in fifth grade. I had known about the trip for weeks and I was so amped up for the plane ride, for the hotel, and especially the ocean. I was in science and the teacher was getting mad because I was distracting all the kids by jittering all over the place. Finally I heard my name called over the intercom and I leaped for joy and ran out of the classroom. From school we drove to the Iowa Airport, got our tickets and loaded onto the plane. Our first plane took us to Chicago, Illinois where we boarded a plane , at the O’Hare International Airport, departing for Cancun,Mexico. The second plane was very lengthy, I tried to sleep but I didn’t actually fall asleep
My journey to Brazil it was just like a dream that come true, I remember when I decided to change myself but I couldn’t find what really would make me take the first step, so the journey to Brazil has done me a favor , it was the first step to what I really wanted to accomplish, I was shy and unsocial but in this journey I had changed ,I had started to talk with strangers and make friendships with everyone and that was inner challenge for me and I never
Our next stop when Ensenada, Mexico. While we were getting off there was a mariachi band playing and folklorico dancers dancing and taking pictures with everyone. Further down were about thirty to forty little stands selling knickknacks, candy, art, and souvenirs. We were not sure what we would do there, but we did hear people were taking a tour of the town and it took you to different places where people do stuff there. The tour guide first took us to historical parts of the town like the revolutionary park, then they took us out to eat where I had the best tacos! After we ate, we saw a brochure on the bus that showed people ziplining. We did not know that we could have done that there. The chaperon asked the tour guide and he was such a
Each of us had learned something from that trip. For me, this experience has taught me what gratitude is, the impact a good attitude has, what a servant looks like, and really how the relationships we make with our life are the most important aspect of life. It was the summer after my freshman year of high school. Earlier in the year, my parents had decided that they wanted to go on a mission trip as a family and serve somewhere.
After two plane rides and a long four hour bus trip all fifty of us finally arrived in Farmington, New Mexico. It was my first time being away from parents for more than a couple days and my first mission trip. I was extremely nervous. I thought the trip was gonna be a miserable ten days. It was the summer going into my senior year and before I left I was having a blast hanging out with my friends, going swimming, riding bikes, and relaxing every single day. The last thing I wanted to do was go on a church mission trip, but my parents insisted that I go. My parents said, it would be a, "great experience" and "life changing." They were right! I did not believe them until I got to the reservations. Met all the amazing Navajo Indians and learned
You know those experiences that you can never seem to forget but for a good reason. I'm talking about those experiences that turn into well-cherished memories, well the day I got to witness my motherland for the first time was a beautiful day. I can vividly remember among the lush green landscapes, sweeping savannas, and exotic animals, I was instantly surrounded with a sense of peace and unity. That trip to Somalia was a liberating experience for me and I will always remember the day like it was yesterday.
During that month, my family decided to plan the trip because we had heard that the trip would satisfy not just myself, but everyone coming along. On a hot Sunday morning, we flew from Dallas to Florida and jumped onto the connecting flight to the Bahamas. Our arrival was grand. Being greeted by so many people in the kindest way was unforgettable!
There were many long trips in the car and on planes. I spent the whole trip with my family and met some super kind people. On my Paramount trip I visited the Grand Canyon and Vegas with my family. It started during summer break, it was July, 10, I was driving to the airport. I have been waiting patiently for several months now because my family and I are flying to Vegas.
Over the course of the writing year I have learned many new skills. It was very helpful to learn these skills because know I know how to use them in real writing and speaking.
My personal experience was when I went to California for the first time. It was one of the best, most fun trips I have ever experienced in my life. I am going to tell you why this trip was one of my amazing experiences throughout my lifetime. To begin with, to drive from Phoenix to California, that would be about a 5 hour drive and I thought it would be shorter but I was clearly wrong. I went with my step dad named Travis, Mom, older sister, and younger sister.
It was a summer in Tahiti. I had never been there before, so everything was foreign: the sights, the sun, the ocean, the people, the way the air felt on my skin. I was taken away with how intriguing the country was. It was amazing to observe how other people lived outside of my small town in Southern California, outside of my country I call home.
I can easily say that the University of Colorado-Boulder is the perfect place that I can see myself achieve success in my architectural engineering career, the place I would call home for the next four years, learning and making friends. Throughout these years I know I will be able to make a difference throughout society and not just be a number or a statistic.
I was able to spend a lot of time with my family, our friends, and play all sorts of games. This experience made me start to like traveling. Every time I would get the chance to travel, I will take that chance. We were able to go to a theme park, eat many delicious foods, and play many video
Not every journey of one’s life cannot be always memorable. But when I think about memorable journey, I think about my journey when I was processing my paperwork for a visa. Processing my paperwork for a visa was totally challenged my patience. Every single day I had to follow up every single paper work that I sent to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. There were times that I really thought of give up, but I was also thought about my dreams to come to America and be together with my husband.
