Personal Narrative: A Career As A Pharmacist

The occupation that I choose was pharmacy tech because pharmacy tech’s work mostly in the back of the pharmacy dispensing medicine and not dealing with customers so much as Pharmacists do. I would like to work in this occupation because, like I said in the beginning, I would not like to deal with people as much as Pharmacists do. I would like to work in this occupation because pharmacy tech they work in the back and sometimes, they answer questions that the patients have about the medicine. Pharmacy tech’s also dispense medicine for patients, answer question that the patients have, like I said before, and supply medicine for patients whether it's over the counter or prescription. Another occupation that I was considering doing was to be a pharmacist. The reason why I was considering being a pharmacist's was because they also distribute medicine like the pharmacy tech’ s do, they provide information about

the medicine that the patient is taking and how to use it. Mostly patients don’t know how to read the label and take the wrong amount, which might end up killing them.

The occupation that I choose was a large animal veterinarian, which work with large animals like cows, horses, etc and not small animals like the small animal veterinarian.

I would like to work as a Large animal veterinarian. I would like to work as a Large animal veterinarian because they are trained to diagnose and treat illnesses that affect the livestock. They work mostly with horses, cows, sheeps, pigs, and goats. Another reason why I would like to work as a Large animal veterinarian is because when I was being raised, my dad taught me different things about large animals, especially horses and cows, like how to keep them calm, not to scare them, and what to do when they're scared. Another occupation that I was considering doing was to be a small animal veterinarian, unlike the large animal veterinarian, small animal veterinarians work with dogs, cats, birds, and other companions. The reason why I would consider being a small animal veterinarian is because I want to help treat small animals that might be sick or injured, as if they were my own

companion.

The occupation that I choose was to be a ER Nurse because they are the first to assist the patient to check if everything is okay, besides the reason that they are there for. I would like to work as an ER Nurse. They work quickly to assess the patient's needs. The ER Nurses work to stabilize the patient, treat the problem that the patients have, discharge the patient after the emergency is over, or make arrangements for the patient to stay longer at the hospital. Another occupation that I might consider is to be a Paramedic because they respond to 911 calls for emergency medical assistance, for example CPR. They help transfer the patient to the hospital and create a patient care report, which documents the medical care that they gave the patient.

Honestly, the healthcare job that I want to do is to be is a Pediatrician. The reason that I want to be a Pediatrician is because I love to work with children, to diagnose and treat any illnesses that they have. Make sure that when children go home, that they go home well. Any child that you treat from any illnesses, that is severe or not, can save their life. Since I am the the oldest out of four, I am use to helping my siblings to make sure that they are okay, if they have any cuts or bruises. I also like to make kids smile and I would make sure that they don’t go through any pain.
