One dark, stormy October night me and some friends went trick or treating. Then we saw this abandon house so we decided to go in it well when we did we found out it was haunted. We went in and went up the stairs and one of my friends somehow got tripped and fell down the stairs and almost broke his .leg. Then we heard a voice that said get out or die. We didn't and we looked around longer and nothing happened. Then one of my other friends when we were walking into this creepy room he got so scared he fell crying. Then we went in the room and seen a porcelain doll sitting on a dresser with a broken glass piece out of its face. I used to be scared of haunted houses and ghost, but after that night I was
never scared of them things again. But let's get back to the story. Then there was this closet and we heard a banging sound like someone hitting the wall. We hesitated to go closer and open the door. Then I got pushed by my friends closer to the door. Then I thought what could happen if I open the door. So I went closer and opened the door and then there was a raccoon that ran out toward me and scared me half to death. Then I jumped back and almost made everyone fall down the stairs. But we did not fall down the stares we just almost feel down. Then we got back up and our hearts were racing. Then we heried up and got out before something else happened.
Honestly, I dont believe in scay stories, but some of them can be really scary at times. Ghost strories like the ones in Illinois, England, and Louisiana might make you sleep with you light on at night. Many differnet variety of events and the sound of boisterous noises have been experienced in the haunted McPike Mansion in Alton, Illinois. A while family has been brutely murdered by someone and there was very litle evidence to be discovered in the case. A swamp that was a cematary was haunted by a lady named Marie Laveau and her daughter. Also a twelve year old child died by an accident and haunted the slave owners mansion all in New Orleans, Louisiana.
When I was little, me and my family were sitting in the living room and watching T.V. and the next thing we hear is the doorbell. When my mom opened the door our family friend Mary, told my mom that she had dropped her keys in the dumpster and needed me and my
The following ghost story was told to me by a friend when I had a small group of friends over to my house in Massachusetts during spring break. He is a 20-year-old white male. The story was told at night after we had finished watching the show Lost on television, so the atmosphere was a little bit tense. It did not simply come up in context; I prompted all of my friends to tell any ghost stories or urban legends that they knew. I wrote the story down a few hours later after my friends left. This is as close to the story he told as I could remember at that time:
The living room was dark and the only thing you could see was the brightness of the TV. Also, I could still hear many people talking from down stairs, fire truck siren going off, and the city lights that were still shining bright. At the age of seven, on a cold Friday night in Brooklyn; my mom, cousin, and I started watching some scary movies since it was around Halloween. There was this movie called “Child’s Play” and as a child, I didn’t like the movie at all due to the fact that there was an ugly doll that was moving and killing people. During, that weekend it was showing marathons all weekend long since it was the Halloween weekend. The bed was pulled out with all the warm blankets and snacks besides us waiting for the move to start.
When I was seventeen years old and going into my senior year of high school I was given the opportunity to go on a trip to Spain with my school. It was a two week trip during the summer, visiting different cities and historical sites throughout the country. While we where there we went to see a Flamenco dance show in Seville which is about an hour and a half outside of Madrid, the city where we were staying. It was a Wednesday around one o’clock when we left and the ride up there was really beautiful. We were driving through the country side passing some small villages on the side of the road. We arrived there around 3:30 and sat down for the show. It was really cool they had all the ladies with their bright dresses and fruit in their hair dance around while we ate lunch. And the show ended around five and we started to head home. On the way home we were driving through the countryside along side a small village when all of a sudden we heard a loud bang and the bus started slowing down. After a couple of ...
We came across the abandoned school that we walked by every day, but for some reason today it looked more frightening that it did the day before. We always heard stories about the house but none of the stories were believable. It was just something about the way it looked. The rusty metal gate made creaking sounds whenever it was touched. It was probably just me being paranoid because Halloween was tomorrow. I never believed any of those stupid superstitions. Superstitions like fear of the unknown. It was all just a load of bull to me. The myth about Halloween was that it was day where souls of dead people are believed to come back to Earth. Although I didn’t believe in the Halloween myth, stories of
Out of all the houses we visited that night, only one scared us all the most. The story behind the first house was that a scientist had lived there a long time ago and studied wildlife. The scientist was supposed to report all his findings back to the wildlife preserve he worked for. When he stopped reporting everything back to the preserve they went up there to check things out. They never found the scientist and the house was left abandoned. Rumor has it he went completely nuts living alone and eventually killed his self in the woods nearby. Gay story, anyways we went up there to check things out. It was pretty scary looking I guess, but nothing spooky really happened so we moved on to the next house.
It was the last Saturday in December of 1997. My brother, sister, and I were chasing after each other throughout the house. As we were running, our parents told us to come and sit down in the living room. They had to tell us something. So, we all went down stairs wondering what was going on. Once we all got down stairs, the three of us got onto the couch. Then, my mom said, “ Well…”
I’m just going to come right out and say it, because it’s true, and voicing it might help. It’s a creepy sort of night. The super dark, wind blowing, kind of creepy that gets the imagination running out of control. Which, since I’m being honest, doesn’t always take that much. As in, right now. I’m getting seriously spooked very quickly here. You know that feeling, the one that you’re being watched even though there’s no one else around? The feeling that gives you goose bumps on your arms, and raises the hair on your neck; that’s the feeling I have right now. I could almost swear that I heard soft footsteps making a crackling sound on the grass too. I stop, listening hard (as opposed to any other type of listening, I suppose) to try and figure out if I am really alone. It was a stupid dare really; wandering alone in the graveyard to prove….what exactly? I don’t remember now, because my overactive brain is nearing the hysterical point and I’m ready to bolt. So what happened next, you ask? I screamed like a school girl and ran, sure that I had seen a shadow move right in front of me. Now that I’m in the safety of my car and driving away, I can reasonably say that I must have imagined it. However, imagined or not, I won’t be doing that again!
I had spent the night at a friend’s house and I couldn’t sleep so I called my mom to come get me and bring me home. On our way home I talked to her about how I wasn’t comfortable sleeping away from home and how it scared me. When we got home I rushed to the door because my grandma and my little sister Alyssa were waiting for me. As I opened the front door I could hear screaming and voices I had never heard before. My heart started racing and I couldn’t think about anything but that I wanted to see what was going on. I shoved the front door open and my mom rushed to be behind me. As we walked into the house I was my grandmother screaming at someone and hiding my little sister behind her. Alyssa looked terrified like she was being attacked. My mom
So I and Hitorn were walking at night pitch black almost. It was 10:00p.m and we wanted to go to the haunted house which cost $5.00 to go inside the haunted house. So we were walking to it we were getting close to the haunted house like we were three blocks away. We were talking about how scary it might be. So I and Hitorn were at the haunted house and there was a big line so you can get inside and we had to wait an hour to get in. An hour went by and now we are finally at the front of the line. Now we just had to wait until the people got through the haunted house so it can be me and Hitorn turn to go inside the haunted house.
When I stepped inside the haunted house, I thought I was going to die. The first step I took, I knew it wasn’t going to end well. I started walking in the haunted house alone because all the people I came with left me to go find something to eat. I was welcomed by this very frightening man with a very frightening chainsaw in his giant hand. I continued to walk along until I got stopped by another man that was even scarier than the last. He told me not to be scared, but I was terrified!
Burrrrrr! It was a shivery October night. My friend and I were all ready for the performance that we have been practicing on for about two weeks now. The performance was on the trampoline for Halloween. As we were practicing we were like should we really do this. October 31st was the day of Halloween. Me and Nessa, my friend was gonna be babies for Halloween. As we were jumping on her trampoline, we heard sounds not just any sounds it was creepy laughs from something, and boom! We fell on the trampoline. We look around to see who was there. We turn our heads and see… Keep reading to find out.
Haunted houses are not common in Waynesboro, Virginia but every year there is a haunted forest done to raise money for breast cancer. The haunted forest is called Twisted Creations and was where the first truly terrifying event that ever happened to me took place. I was a scrawny, timid eight year old girl with large, bright blue eyes, sandy-brown hair cut to my shoulder blades who led a sheltered life. Two days before Halloween, my family and I were sitting in our living room after dinner watching the movie Hocus Pocus. My mother was on her computer when she asked “You all want to go to the haunted forest?” We (my three sisters, my father and myself) were all bored and looking for something to do so of course we said yes. We piled in my mom’s red jeep commander and were off.
The haunted house The scariest house that I have ever been was right next to my aunt's house when I was almost 10 years old. An old lady with her cat used to live there. One day the lights went off, and you couldn’t hear any noise or see anybody. It looked like she left the house alone, but no one really knew her and it was also common to see the house a few days abandoned. But this time was different and worse; it looked like she had passed away but everyone was afraid to ask.
