Personal review
This programme comes later in my life and career, so I have thought at length on my motivation for embarking on this. My main reason - I still strongly believe, even at this mature stage, this will open opportunities that have previously been closed off.
Working for 15 years as a Trainer and Lecturer in Further Education, I have acquired a keener awareness of learners’ personal development needs - which I view as one of my major strengths.
Previously I helped design then delivered a 9-unit training programme (I.T. and Customer Care) which was rigorously scrutinised by City & Guilds and accredited at Level 2. I found that an exhilarating phase and moving from training to teaching was not a calculated decision; nevertheless I have grown as a lecturer – achieving a grade 1 during the college’s last OFSTED inspection. These experiences helped develop my organisation, administrative and some of the research skills, plus, strong communication and interpersonal skills are additional strengths – essential in my current role and will be needed throughout this programme.
Recently I completed both paper-based and online personality tests and the strengths, values and characteristics matched what I have been told of my personality. The questionnaire result is that of an Introverted Sensing Personality type; the dominant traits - dependability, reliability and trustworthiness also a preference for clearly defined roles/responsibilities so that activities and progress can be monitored/assessed in tangible ways.
My preference is to engage in two-way activities with opportunities to discuss or collaborate in small teams, rather lecture-style learning environments. Also, I generally prefer to solve how operate a d...

Reflecting on this process I can now understand the WBS team’s purpose of having candidate’s propose a title, provide a rationale for that title and set out clear aims is to make candidates intimately acquainted with every aspect of the target award. Having to critically examine my weaknesses and threats to completing the WBS 470 negotiated work based learning project, then research, plan and timetable modules; anticipate resources needed and opportunities available means embarking on that module far better informed and equipped to succeed.
Completing this unit has changed the manner that I will approach future tasks as I am now acutely aware of the importance of planning in a structured and defined way and has radically altered the way I way I view CPD.

CPD was originally not mandatory though it was recommended by the HCPC and was based on the amount of time that you spent carrying out CPD activities. Since 2006 it has been compulsory and is now focusing on the relevance of CPD and how it impacts upon practice. As Barnett (1994) has always promoted that, professionals must be prepared to look into how society is changing and how relevant steps are taken to shape change, embracing new practices and discarding outdated ones.
After taking this personality test I could not decide if I felt that my results were accurate about me or not. The personality test resulted in describing me as an extravert, intuitive, feeling, and judging (Humanmetrics,

Comparative Evaluations In this comparative essay I will be comparing the CIPP approach to evaluation and Kirkpatrick’s four levels of training evaluation. This comparative essay will document the key components, how the evaluations are alike and different, and how they can be employed in practice. Stufflebeam’s CIPP Model (Context, Input, Process, and Product) was created in 1983. This evaluation approach deals with an effective way of examining several distinctive facets of the development process.
Early on in my career as a teacher I learned the value of professional growth for myself. This took the form of professional development that I gained from conferences I attended and grants I was awarded. I also knew that I could share what I learned with others within my school and presenting at conferences. As an educational technology leader I use the knowledge and skills gained from my university classes in providing professional develop...

The essay will include a brief biography on Malcolm Knowles, and his theory on adult education / learning andragogy, to include definitions of andragogy and pedagogy, which has been the mainstay of all education theory for hundreds of years.
...res any less difficult to ponder because they reveal that I have a long way to go – indeed further that I would have estimated. They also reveal that Bobby believes in my potential and my chances for success as an effective leader. I know I can do it, but it was very reassuring to hear it from another person who I respect very much. It also confirms the value of my decision to enroll in the Organizational Leadership degree program at CSU. The classes and exercises such as this will certainly be an integral part of my long-term success as an effective leader.
To diagnose my learning needs I must be honest and realistic about myself. The strengths I have as a leader consists of personal mastery and building a shared vision. Personal mastery is the discipline of continually clarifying and deepening our personal vision, of focusing our energies, of developing patience, and of seeing reality objectively (Senge, 2006). I have always strived to improve myself so that I can excel in every task that I set out to do. There ...

The Closing Bell Speaker Series consists of lectures where presenters from different companies speak about professional development in areas that pertain to their career or a topic that they are passionate about. The purpose of this paper is to summarize two of the Closing Bell Speaker Series that I attended and to relate the information I was given to my own professional development. This paper will include a background of the speakers that presented, a summarization of their presentation, and my response to the information presented.
My personality type is Extroverted, intuitive, feeling, perceptive or ENFP. According to the description in the exercise, ENFP's are warm, enthusiastic and live their outer life more with intuition and their inner more with feeling. This assessment is consistent with the results that I received in part I of the exercise. I am an extroverted person who enjoys being around and working with people.
