Knowing what is essential in life is a very hard thing to do. How do you decide what is more important? Personal essentials or basic human needs? Some people might find a certain way of life different to a realistic standard. For example, people play videogames for a living so those video games are essential to them. However, realistically, people do just fine without playing video games! It’s the gravitational pull of a lifestyle that changes our view on the essentials of life. I personally chose three of my top essential and nonessential items and ideas that revolve around my lifestyle. My first item on my essentials list is a healthy lifestyle. Maintaining a good quality of health in your life is essential because it decides how long you …show more content…
Education is one of the most important aspects of life. Recently I read a story named “The Allegory of the Cave” by Plato, the great philosopher. The main point of the story is to reach a heightened sense of education, and then educate those in the dark. “... education is the craft concerned with doing this very thing, this turning around, and with how the soul can most easily and effectively be made to do it” (2016, p. 5). Nothing would ever be achieved without education; no progression would ever happen. My final item on my list is: hobbies. Having a hobby or activity that you regularly do is very important because it keeps you active. My favourite hobby is to go spearfishing. I go almost every day when I am on vacation in Puerto Rico. If it weren’t for my hobbies, I would most likely have no friends or not have any motivation to do anything else in …show more content…
However, I tailored these lists to my own personal life. Also, I know that many people would agree with my reasoning on why education should be in everybody’s life. Education is the core of how we grow as humans and progress, invent, and create innovative ideas. Humans would not be able to walk without education, nor would we learn how to talk or even communicate in simplistic ways. Education has taken the human species a long way since our ancient ancestors first learned how to survive as hunters and
Our physiological needs are the needs for food, sex, health, and so on. Our safety needs are the needs for stability and security in our living situation. Our social needs are the needs we have for meaningful relationships, as well as our needs for support from peers or our society. Our esteem needs are our needs to feel validated, and accomplished. And last but not least, of course are our needs for self-actualization; in other words our needs to become autonomous, capable and fulfilled in what we

Last but not least, reading. Don't get me wrong I enjoy reading topics I enjoy, such as the news or good science fictions novels. My issue is with all of the dry textbooks that are required reading of in every English class. I will be back up to a pot of coffee every day just trying to make it through chapter one.
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs arranges basic human needs in the order in which people strive to fulfill them. Physiological needs, basic human needs, are the first necessity on Maslow’s hierarchy that people attempt to fulfill. Thankfully, I am able to say that all my physiological needs are met, for I am blessed with an abundant supply of food, water, shelter, and clothing. I cannot imagine what it must be like for people to live without having their physiological needs met, but I do understand that it has to be extremely difficult for people to focus on any other needs when they are living without the essentials of survival.
There are so many things that are important to me, but only a few that could greatly affect my life if I didn’t have or accomplish them. The biggest things to me are success, family, and freedom. These are all things that are essential to my life in so many different aspects.
Education provides people with guidance and practical skills necessary in everyday life. For example, when we are purchasing something, we deal with money. Who do we owe the quick calculation we make as we pay for these items? Thanks to our first, second, and third grade teachers for teaching us to add, subtract, multiply, and divide at such a young age. The math skills we acquire at an age when we do not see the importance is something we carry with us throughout our lives. When driving a distance to visit a loved one, the street signs are very practical. What if we could not read? Thanks to our kindergarten teacher who started us off with reading the words “cat” and “dog.” Then we can thank the first grade and second grade teacher who taught us how to write sentences, for if we cannot make it to see our loved ones who live far away, we can write them a letter.
Education is essential for everyone. Education plays a critical role in the development of a generation of individuals that is virtuous and in turn contributes to the development of good people. Through education, a person is able to develop mentally, but also physically and socially. To the youths, education is important as it helps them to develop the principles of life, enables them to make the correct career decisions and also prepares them in the pursuit of the goals that they may have set for themselves in life. I strongly believe that a good, heck, or even a regular education is a right that cannot be taken away. Education is a right and not a privilege.
Education is a very important aspect of the lives of all people all over the world. What we learn, not just in the classroom, shapes who we are. We take our education everywhere we go. We use it when talking to our buddies about sports or music, we use it while solving a math problem, we use our education while debating with our family whether or not we should watch TV or go to the movies. Our education is the foundation of who we are, since every decision we make and every thought we think is dependent on what we know. Imagine how different the world would be if everyone craved learning to such a degree that at lunch tables all over the world the topic of conversation isn't who likes who, or how drunk someone got over the weekend, but it would be what books were read over the weekend, and what new ideas were thought of. This crave for learning would be an ideal but still suggests need for improvement with the current educational system. It seems that the problem with education is that somewhere along the lines the human race forgot (assuming they, at one point, understood how valuable information is) that learning is not just a mandatory process, but also an opportunity to transcend and open the gateway to a better understanding.
items of importance, again, depending on who my audience is. Let us get back to my topic
Education is a vital part of society. It serves the beneficial purpose of educating our children and getting them ready to be productive adults in today's society. But, the social institution of education is not without its problems. Continual efforts to modify and improve the system need to be made, if we are to reap the highest benefits that education has to offer to our children and our society as a whole.
My instinct is to say that the absolute essentials are clean water, food, shelter, and the like, because those are what I was taught are basic necessity to survive. However, millions of people live without clean water and are still alive, so that throws my previous statement for a loop. I have a very privileged view of what should be universal human rights, but one thing that I absolutely believe is that everyone should get some sort of an education. It does not have to be fancy, but education is the way that people are able to have the tools to change their lives. It allows people in different societies to truly be able to decide for themselves what rights that they think are essential. Everyone should have a chance to learn about the theories widely accepted around the world, as well as be able to come up with their
To have a good health, a mind, an abundant source of energy for activities of daily living requires both a process of care and health protection are formed from very many measures of care and good habits are different on the spirit of "area of the U.S. into the great". The physiological needs encompass specific biological requirements for water, oxygen, proteins, vitamins, proper body temperature, sleep, sex, exercise and so on. When the physiological needs are largely taken care of, the second layer of needs, the safety and security needs comes into play. We will become increasingly interested in finding safe circumstances, stability, and protection. We might develop a need for structure, for order, some limits. When physiological needs and safety needs are taken care of the third layer shows up, the love and belongin...
Imagine that you are being isolated on a remote island for approximately one year. What would you take with you in order to survive, excluding nutrition, medicine, clothing, energy, room and board, and safety needs (our basic needs)? I call this a survival kit. In general, I may divide my survival kit into four basic personal needs. These are entertainment apparatus, things that I already own, things that you don't own but want, and, the last but not least, people. Generally, I want to take something that is not in vain. By having my survival kit, I can manage to accomplish my social and esteem needs.
