With hard work and dedication, you can achieve great things. One of the greatest accomplishments in my life was winning state last year. I have never once wanted to win this game for my teammates more than this one. This game I played for my brothers on the field with me.
I remember ever single moment of the that week leading up to it and the game. We practiced Monday through Friday, every single practice was freezing cold. I specifically remember the Thursday practice. What made this practice stand out was the fact that it was on Thanksgiving day. Wednesday night we had a big snow storm, so the next morning ice covered the field. This practice was beyond compare to any of the others. This practice was not just fun, this practice played an

I took my shower and head to the school. At the school we had a little meeting and our parents group gave us chick fil a sandwiches. We loaded the bus and headed out to the Emporia State field. Once we got there all of the nervousness hit me. I had butterflies in my stomach. We had hours before the game so we went out and walked on the icy field. We had never played a game on this kind of conditions. In the locker room we had music blaring and people were getting pumped to play. We go out for pre-game and see thousands of people there. The butterflies come back, but I had so much adrenaline it equaled out the nervousness. We head back into the locker room and in just 15 minutes I would be playing in the State Championship …show more content…
At 12:52 we walked out and ran through our banner. We all lined up, and they announced our names. Our captains walk out to the middle of the field to see who gets ball first. Blue Valley the team we are playing lost the toss and we received, so we get the ball first. I remember the exact moment when the other team kicked off. I remember going to block my dude and getting completely abolished by the kid on the other team, but it didn’t matter because I got him blocked. So our offense goes out there and is making a good drive. They end up having to punt. So it is our turn, the defense goes out there. I play corner and wear the jersey number 17. That whole year our defense has been top in the state. Their first drive they score on us, and we were all like what just happened. Then the butterflies came back out. So our offense goes back out there, and on the third or fourth play our quarterback breaks an 80 yard run for a touchdown. At this point we got the feeling of we can win this. At the end of the first quarter the score was 6-7 and they were
My philosophy of success, is me growing into the person I want to become and being comfortable with the choices I decide to make in life. Success is not something I can achieve overnight, it’s something I must plan for then proceed to working hard for it as well. Without hard work, there isn’t anything successful about the job I want to get done or the job I wish to get done. Doing anything without hard work and dedication, and expecting the best outcome is not success; it’s mediocrity. Being mediocre/ will only allow me or anyone else to have a ‘Victim’s Mindset.’
We were playing against the McAllen High School. I was a starter post on the team we were losing by 10 the first half of the game. We had 5 minutes of halftime the team and I were so upset that we were losing so we decided to pray to gain our confidence back. Once halftime was over starting five went back in we started well with defense once again, we stole some passes, but didn’t make all baskets to catch up to. Until last quarter I made 12 points and I was so happy to make 12 points for the to catch up against our opponent. Our team was still a few behind at the end of the game we didn’t win but I was proud of myself for making those 12 points for the team even if we did not win. My teammates and coaches were so proud of all of us not just me but of each one us for working together not to lose by a lot and not making ourselves look like fools. It was the first since tournaments that I realized that we had a great team that would support each other during a game. Success comes from people who believe in you and support you through things you go through. Success is nor found nor is it a miracle, success is created by you own self from being prepared of how to succeed in life and how you are going to get there because you cannot find success you have to make success find you in. Success is not miracle to be success is something thst
With seconds to spare I arrived at batting practice and began to prepare for my game. I hear coach call out my name and as I he acknowledged that I was there he told me I was pitching. My brain shifted and went into a whole new mode, I was more focused and more determined than I have ever been. This was the biggest baseball game of my career and I 'm starting on the mound. Honestly it couldn 't have turned out any better, the fate of the pin and my team lied in my hands and I loved the pressure. The pressure made me thrive and before I knew it our team was marching onto the field for the national anthem. During the singing of the national anthem I peeked into the crowd and first row down the first base side was the little boy I met on the cart and his dad sitting right next to him. This game was for that little boy, I needed to impress him. I pitched six strong innings and my team ended up winning the game. It was the most exciting game of my career and the best part was being greeted with the best pin in the tournament after such a spectacular win. The little boy ran out into the middle of the field where we shook our opponents hands and in front of everyone in the stadium handed me the only thing I cared about besides winning. I was in the best mood for the rest of the day and I rewarded myself with a nice long sleep. I could only image what the next day had to
One goal that it has allowed me to achieve was a high school team state champion title for bowling in February of 2015. Our team’s journey to state started off needing to place in the top 4 at the high school regional. I was really proud of my team members because we kicked off a huge first place win to advance to sectionals the following weekend. At sectionals we did the same thing. We placed first, which set us up for a trip to state. I was amazed at the young talent level that we had and our potential to win a state title. While at state we set three different goals. The goals included a state record for the score of three games, a state record for the score of six games and a state record for one game. Individually I placed second out of 77 total competitors. State is set up by having twenty four high school teams from around the state bowl twelve total games; six games on Friday and six on
It was wet and rainy to start the day. As I walked off the bus and into the huge stadium for the final day of state track I was already nervous. This was only my second state track meet ever because I was only in eighth grade. For the past few meets I'd been doing really good at the meets before so I was very excited to race. I knew that if I ran my hardest that I could win. I just had to keep doing what I had been doing. There was a lot more competition than at a normal meet. Also it was very slippery from all the rain so this made me even more scared.
The play was "Red 334"which is a run to our halfback, me, out of our dive series. I crouched over the ball as I jetted past the quarterback and ran the play so we could observe the changes we needed to make. I let out a sigh of relief because we were finished with the most dreaded part of practice; well, only until someone complained about not knowing their job on one of our pass plays. Coach Nelson undoubtedly decided we needed to run through the final pass play before we perfected our defense. The play was quietly called in the huddle with intentions of getting it right. I ran the play through my mind while I tried to remember what the snap count was and what I was supposed to do for that play. The ball was snapped and I jolted to the left of our team's quarterback to set up his backside protection. Out of my peripheral vision, I noticed the defensive end raging toward the quarterback. I intensely stepped into him while lowering my body and exploded through his shoulder pads sending him stumbling into the line's pass protection.
I believe that hard work is the real treasure of a person because without hard work we cannot achieve our dreams and goals in life. No one can achieve success without doing hard work. It starts when we stop looking for alternatives or shortcuts towards success. We need to remember that there are no short cuts to success. Hard work, complimented with an intense desire to struggle and to achieve success is the only sure way of reaching success that you have always wanted. Hard work is one of the secret for us to be successful in life. Laziness and sluggishness makes one’s life a curse and only hard work can make your life a blessing. We cannot work hard if we don’t have goals. The meaning of goal according to Wikipedia is a desired result of a
During my life I had some accomplishments. But, I will tell you the truth I cannot call them as my great accomplishments. At this point of my life I had the two greatest events. My first event was my high school graduation. The second event, which was the biggest and the most unforgettable was my wedding day.

Filled with cherishable memories from start to finish, 2015 was one awesome year. Although there were some disappointments, friends and family were there by my side, so the year turned out well. However, I hope that 2016 will turn out to be even better. I plan to make many accomplishments and set goals that I will work hard to achieve this year.
Accomplishments mark a new beginning for many people. It also ends adolescence to begin a journey to adulthood. An accomplishment and event that took place in my life was obtaining and maintaining a job. I became employed by family friends at a local pizza restaurant and soon was commended for being one of the most productive employees. I cook, clean, prep and wait on customers all at the same time.
The greatest achievement in my life would have to be my success in the sport of football. I started playing the game at the age of eight. It stuck with me throughout my life until now. During a football game there are numerous amounts of dynamic situations to be involved with. There are so many crucial actions that take place in the matter of seconds. In a certain instance in my life , the game had a strong impact on my life. It took place my senior year against our rivals, the best team in the district. That Monday we began preparing for the coming Friday. It was a typical week until I woke up Wednesday morning. I was routinely late for school running around the house. On my way out the door the phone brought me to an abrupt stop. Turning around, I started to sprint to the phone. A few steps into it, I crushed my little toe on the leg of my couch. Face down on the carpet, I proceeded to scream in pain. Answering the phone quickly got check off my things to do list. As soon as I could regain my sanity I hopped over to the couch and forgot about school. My toe suddenly turned black and swollen. It was the worst coincidence that could’ve happened to me. I went to the hospital later that day, where I heard that my foot was broken and I couldn’t play.
“The failure is the mother of success” this Chinese quote said that failure is not the end. Failure is where people learn from their mistake. People cannot be successful all the time. Indeed, there are many people who learned from their failures before being successful. Each failure that people had met is a helpful lesson and valuable experience to help them become a better person.
I have made many achievements in my life. I am happy to be such an achiever at things. I remember my first achievement which was in kindergarten. In kindergarten I got on the honor roll for the first time. I was so happy, but I was just happy because my mom was happy. I didn’t even know what honor roll meant, but I finally founded out that is meant that I got all A’s. My mom was so happy for me, and I got lot of money for my A’s. After that my next achievement was that I learn how to ride a bike. When I first started to ride a bike with no training wheels I kept on falling. After I kept falling I didn’t want to learn anymore, but I saw that my little cousin was riding a bike, so I just had to learn how to ride a bike. Finally, after all the sores and burses, I learned how to ride a bike. I still fall every now and then.
