On my mandala, I put down the Wisconsin Badgers logo. I put it in the middle of my mandala because of many different reasons. One is that it is very important to me because i live in madison. I was born and raised in madison. Also my second reason why i put it there was because i want to go to school they're one day after my senior year. My third reason why i placed it in the middle is that i am a badger fan. I love wisconsin college football.
Volleyball is very important to me. My aunts and my uncles play volleyball and my brother as well. This year at east high school, I decided to join the madison east mscr co-ed volleyball team. We did pretty okay during the season. I improved a bit in my serves and my bumps. Not only i play at school, I also play at our family reunion events. We have tournaments competing against the adults. Kids VS the adults. Every year we win. And that is why i chose a volleyball for my mandala.
A football is very important to me and my family. It is a way my family can get together and have some fun. My dad taught me all about football. I remember my first time my dad took me to the Wisconsin Badgers football game. My dad took my brother and I and sat smack

dab in the middle of our section. I was so excited to watch them play. Usually we would watch on tv and have family over. Now, I participate in our family football tournaments because of my dad. Football is the reason why my family stays together. Next up is my lucky number 73. I put it in my mandala because when I was little I couldn't say the number seven and three so my parents would always laugh about that. .so now i put it in all togather to make 73. That's my lucky number. Then i put a graduation cap and a diploma.
When it comes to the time when i'm a senior in high school, I want to go to college. But in order to get to college, I have to graduate and get my diploma. My other reason why I put it they're is because when i was a little girl, my parents got into a divorce. I was devastated. I was hurt. When I would go over to my relatives place, they would talk about how our life is so sad and we are so poor. At that very moment, I decided to make a change. I wanted to prove everyone wrong. I want to walk up on stage and prove to everyone who said those words that my family is not a disgrace, not poor, and not sad. I want to have them see my older brother and my younger siblings walk onstage to uphold our family to not have a bad impact on my
family. Earlier this week on monday, I heard news i hoped would never come. My grandmother just passed. I was heartbroken to the bottom of my heart. I felt that my world has come to an end. My grandma was my role model.. She always encouraged me to do really good in school to help out my mom. She always said when my mom was in school, she got straight A's in every class. My grandma wants me to be just like my mom. From that very day, I vowed to myself that I will make sure My siblings will walk on stage and make our family have a better name. Everything on my mandla is all about me and only me. From family to myself, to my heart. There were many other symbols but i specifically chose these symbols because they make me unique from others. And that’s my autobiography.
...nderstand and appreciate the games my dad and the rest of my male family members have been watching for years, I became that much closer with all of them. As John Madden said “The turkey brings the family together, but the football keeps them together” (www.espn.com). As a tradition Thanksgiving’s football watching extravaganza has become an occasion I have begun to look forward to for months. After spending this great tradition with my father and my family those geezers are looking a lot younger.
Volleyball represents my most meaningful commitment not just because I have invested so much into it, but also because it it’s a passion of mine and has been a part of my life since elementary school. The impact my coaches and teammates have had on my life has helped make me the confident and determined individual I am today. Volleyball also takes up a lot of time and there are many sacrifices that come with the sport and playing on a team. To keep up my skills, I have had to give up a lot of my free time and parts of my summer. Balancing school with practices was also a challenge, but participating in one of my passions made it worthwhile. I have persevered through difficult times and learned new lessons along the way, so there is nothing that could make this sport less meaningful to me. (148)
One of the proudest accomplishments of my life was earning my high school diploma, despite all the hard work that led me where I am today was well worth it. Many people would expect me to say I am coming to college to better myself as a person or to continue my education. The truth is I want to change a life in my community, make my parents proud of their daughter and start a tradition in my family.
Being the first one to attend college in my family has pushed me to continue my education. Now in today’s society a college degree is so important. I want my parents to be proud of me, and be happy with my high level career after college, and that starts with my education. I also hope to be an influence on my younger brother and show him that a college education is important. He looks up to me, and I need to be a good role model for him. I truly just want to get the best education and job for myself worth and make myself happy.
Before birth football seemed like it would be a factor in my life. My uncles and cousins were key players of their high school football teams. Even though they were a factor I developed a love for the game myself. The drive from my family made me want to go harder.
Volleyball is not only a sport of leisure it is a game of concept and skill as well. Just like any other sport not everyone can just pick up a volleyball and start playing. People of all ages train in the art of the sport and dedicate their time to learn and master the skills that it takes to play the game of Volleyball. My parents have this perfect life for me pictured in their heads, and the first thing they see me doing is going to college. They expect the best of me, and so by going to college, I will not only have fulfilled their goals for me, but I will have accomplished one of the goals I have set for myself. In our culture, when parents come to the age where they can’t support themselves, it is the duty of the children to look after them.
Both teams are fighting for the win, only one point away, my adrenaline starts to run. I have adapted to live for the rush that comes with playing a sport. Volleyball has definitely been an outlet for me when it comes to school, family, and simply anything else. I have been on my high school volleyball team since freshman year. Although I loved playing, each year I struggled finding a balance between school and practice. I never let the struggle bring me down. I stayed committed to school and stayed on top on my assignments. I will admit there were times that i thought I couldn't do it anymore but i knew that to continue playing i needed to keep my grades up.
College Education is of the utmost importance to me especially when competing with people in my age group. A college education is also one of the most costly obligations that one must do to gain success. In my academic career, I have gain many experiences that I may not have been able to experience had I not attended a post-secondary education. A college education has never been an option for me it was always instilled in my brain as an adolescent as a top priority. In my youth I was certain of my goals and aspirations, the person that I wanted to become and where I see myself in the future. Some people in my same age group with similar upbringing as mine had ne focus. Their prerogative was to acquire money in any way that they knew how. Their options including, dealing drugs or for women prostitution and or becoming a hair stylist. I was adamant that in my profession a college education was not only necessary as a requirement to obtain a law license but also there were no exit strategies. To elucidate I am speaking of secondary options such as a technical school. My peers often believed that my choice would change and I was just hoping that their state of minds too would alter. My dreams of becoming a lawyer was slowly approaching as I reached the age of 18. High school teachers of mine often attempted to sway me into a different direction since I was not as outspoken as my fellow classmates. However, I would inform them just as I have revealed to others that my dream is everlasting and my path is clear. I will become a lawyer and today examining the course of my short academic years—spending only 17 years in school beginning with Head Start- I would be the attorney I have always wanted to be. Noted authors, Brandon Chambers, is quoted saying, “If you are going to fear anything fear success. Think about what you are doing and when you succeed what life you will have.” There are several different reasons why I could stay home, work and not go to college; I could go to work every day and make more money for the house, it’s easier, and I would be less stressed. Now, on the other hand there are many reasons why I should go to school; such as further my education, make my family proud, and make myself proud. I am attending college for several different reasons. One reason is to further my education. I hate feeling like I don’t know something, I like being the person everyone comes to for information. Also, because I want to be better prepared for my major, I want to be better then the next person with the job credentials. I want to major in Social Work and Criminology. I dream to be a counselor or an clinical service social worker. I want to help people who need someone there for them someone who can guide them or even just talk too. Another reason is because I would be the first in I would be the first in my family to go to college. I feel in some type of way I am setting an example for my parents and my brother that they too can go back to school. Lastly is simply because I love school. I love knowing more and more each day. College is not for everyone, but I will be successful by grasping the benefits, preparing for the problems, taking heed from experts, and working on strategies to be successful.
Society tells us that after high school we must go to college and get a degree if we want to obtain success. For me going to college was the goal ever since I was a small child. Everyone in my family has gotten some form of post-secondary education. With a family like that ever Since the early ages of childhood as far I can remember my parents and family member were just always big on telling me I have to go to college to keep to better myself. After I graduated from high school the question in my house was not if I was going to go to college but instead where am I going to go to college. There was no question about if I was going to go to college or not. My parents made it clear that when august came around that year after I graduated from

College is going to start my own life on a foot that is ready to leap because my career is going to take off right out of the gate. All-in-all I’m going to college for three main reasons. My immediate family is a reason because I want them to be proud of me for doing something right for once. My future family is also one because it’s a big part of my life that I want to be happy and always feel comfortable. Finally for my personal financial well-being, so I can be able to treat myself to all the luxuries I want for myself. Going back to line one, all of these things are a part of my future. Isn’t that what college is for after all, to prepare people for their own futures and what they bring? A university is not my future, it’s only the beginning of it.
