Personal Essay: My Name Is Triny Gomez

My name is Triny Gomez, and my favorite sport is football. The reasons why I am madly in love with this sport are many. I love to run with purpose while staying active, sweat while throwing and catching the football up and down the field, and most of all I love being very competitive as I tackle my opponents. Here is some more elaboration on a few of the reasons why I like football.
I love to get on the field and tackle people. Nothing makes me happier than stopping people in their tracks when they think they are going to get past me. I like getting tumbled in those big piles when everyone falls for the ball and we all get stacked on each other. I like being the one on top of the pile.
I like football because I love running up and down the

field while my opponents chase me. I play best at night when it’s not hot and the fresh air is hitting my face. I get bruised and scrapped sometimes but it’s nothing major. I can get very competitive when I have a good team.
Another reason I love football is because I like throwing and catching the ball. I am best at catching because my hand can’t get a good grip of the ball sometimes so I won’t always do a good job in throwing it very far. The best position in football for me is being the receiver.
I love football for all these reasons, and so many more. Football is an amazing way to get things off my mind, and it’s also a stress relief for me because I like to fight so when It comes down to football I’m not really fighting or hurting anyone. Football is life.
