Personal Essay And Option Of The American Dream

The American Dream is a dream of a nation wants to get part. Everyone wants to be better and richer, so to become that the better and easy way to come to America. Because America is for everyone who wants to be rich or poor. America gives people an opportunity for the dream. People from all over the world come to America for this dream. But there are people who want to come, but never have the opportunity to come. In Bradon King 2011 book, “The American Dream: Dead, Alive, or on Hold? he states that there are people who say American dead or alive, but this depends on every people. I believe in American Dream. I was born in India, Kerala. Kerala is the most literacy place in all over India. We had more opportunity than other states from India.

I’m coming from a middle-classed family. My parents had an opportunity to bring us to here so we can have a good future. I will not regret coming to America because we made unexpected money in one year which we never going get in India if we worked maybe for 2 years. My dad gave us good schools in India and in America. He wanted me to be successful in my life. Becuase that is all he can do for me. My dad doesn’t have higher education but he knew his children need something that he never experiences. The only chance for us to become successful in our life was to come to America. As an Indian, I didn’t know what is American Dream was.

I grew up in India in a middle-class family. I grew up watching my parents working hard to connect the ends. They are still working hard to connect it. My dad was young, my grandfather told my dad to continue the study, but my dad didn’t want to study. So, he did some businesses with my grandfather, but a lot of them failed. But our fate didn’t fail him, he ended up working hard to be an owner of his own store. Even though he was the owner, he hardly worked very hard, also with him my mom

Because moving from their own country to another, which is emotionally hard. Even if I lived in this country for so long doesn’t make that I belong to this country. With a lot of pain, sadness, and loneliness left behind there to come here because of this dream. Everyone wants to be rich and happy all the time. Like the green light for Gatsby, I have my future to keep chasing. It is important because the concept of American Dream gives me the capability to improve myself. My life would be pointless if there is no hope yo achieve success. The American Dream gives me the motivation that there is a way to improve everyone’s life and one will be able to achieve success through hard work. I’m willingly ready to work hard to be a success in life and build a good life for me and my family. There are people who say that American Dream isn’t for them because they got no time and money for dreams. But I grew up watching my dad saving money for the future, so we can use it for the future.
