We previously had a discussion about you taking your family on a trip to Disney World. You stated that you weren’t able to decide if you wanted to fly or take a road trip. I understand that you came to me because I tend to travel a lot by way of different modes of transportation. And I truly appreciate you trusting my judgements. With my background working in the airline industry and traveling expertise, I can assure you that a flight would best suit you for this adventure. Further on, I will provide you with more detailed reasons why I would recommend you take a flight over taking a road trip. The areas I’ll be focusing on includes prices, sights, weather, comfort, and time. Prices of rental car and gas is slightly less expensive than flight …show more content…
Try taking a road trip in the winter time. I tried it and it was no fun. I was so afraid of getting stuck in the snow. There were places where the roads were icy and people were driving like it was a nice and sunny day. It can be too hot or too cold sometimes. On a flight, they have comfortable temperatures in the cabin. There are so many things regarding weather that you would have to factor in when you are taking a road trip. You’d worry less about weather when you’re flying than when you’re driving. A flight is much more comfortable than on a road trip. You have your own seat and you don’t have to worry about anyone taking your spot if you get up. You can get up to stretch and walk around without having to pull over. If you’re driving in a car in the summer, you have to worry about someone’s sweaty legs on your legs. When we went on a road trip to Tennessee, we were very uncomfortable because we were so close and it was hot. Some people wanted to lay down but there wasn’t enough room for them to do that. It causes you to fight and bicker with one another because you’re irritated
Hi, I am here to talk you about the pros and cons of driving in the summer and winter. The reason I say that is because I have been hearing different opinions about driving in the winter is better than driving in the summer, and of course, driving in the summer is better than driving in the winter. Although, it depends on what you are driving in and how you drive when driving. I say that because you could drive in the winter and still be cold because you did not turn on your heat. On the other hand, you could drive in the summer and still be hot if you do not let down any windows and or turn on the ac.
Road trips are known to be fun adventures. When someone says they are going on a road trip people expect them to go and see amazing places and then come back. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson, Travels with Charley by John Steinbeck and On the Road by Jack Kerouac are about road trips but these trips are not about the adventure. Duke from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Sal from On the Road and Steinbeck from Travels with Charley all go on road trips because of the American drive. I am also on the road and even thought it is not road trips I am moving around and it is because of the American drive. The American drive is the need to go and to be on the move and it started because people were not happy about their current lives and they wanted to do more. They went on the journey to find happiness and success.
“All right. I’m corny. But I think there’s just about a-hundred-and-forty-million people in this country that are just as corny as I am.” Walt Disney was a major part of the Twentieth Century media and entertainment production. Disney was born December 5, 1901 in Chicago, and died of lung cancer on December 15, 1966. He was a chain smoker all his life, which may have been the cause of his lung cancer. His parents impacted him because they were German/English and Irish descent, and the Disney family frequently moved between Marceline, Kansas City, and Chicago.
In belief my opinion I believe route 66 is better.Because it is much better to ride on.It is better to me because the Interstate is all loud and noisy while on the other hand Route 66 is much much more quieter and peaceful. When your riding on the interstate its like your baby brother crying all night long while Route 66 is sleeping like a peaceful cloud.Route 66 is the highway of the unknown and the Interstate is the highway to hell. What i mean by that is the Interstate is sometimes narrow while Route 66 is a open road.On the Interstate people are cursing and fussing about how slow or how fast one is going or doing wrong.Wherever you are on any Interstate will get you there faster you will also have to deal with a lot of traffic but on Route 66 you wont have to deal with much traffic.Although there are more places to stop and Drink on the interstate On Route 66 there are many places to look see and maybe visit. In the prompt it talks about and states that sometimes its like a journey or sometimes like a rush to get from point A to point B.It also says that Route 66 is old so that means that there would be some more things to look at.Sure the interstate gets you there faster. When you drive the two lane highways it does not matter how much time it takes. In fact you might even wanna keep driving and driving and driving because you are having so much fun.
The progression of technology and its presence in society has strongly molded the way people live their lives today, and the way they will continue to live their lives years from now. But with this advancement of science and increased order, there is a consequence that seems to be a heavy price to pay: the loss of human emotion and freewill, and the submission to organization and commands. The tourist industry is one such manufactured machine, so to speak, that influences people's views in certain aspects. One of these aspects, culture, is a main focus of post-modernist writer Bryan Turner, who believes that "tourism invents and demands empathy...makes cultures into museums...[creates] the illusion of authenticity, [and therefore] reinforces the experience of social and cultural simulation" (qtd. in Burns 33). One only needs to take a look at the verbs used in this quote--invents, demands, makes, reinforces-- to see how mechanized tourism sounds. In addition to these verbs that would be associated with something mechanical, the key word simulation further supports the notion that when man created the tourist industry, he in fact invented a machine. Man appears to be forgetting, however, that he created the machine, but he is not the machine; he gave life to the mechanism, but he should not give his life to the mechanism. He is, however, falling to the pattern of the latter in each case; man is becoming the product he makes, following orders and decreasing his choices, and in the process, losing his costly traits of humanity. A great example of this phenomenon is man's creation of Disney World. What seems to be a land of fun and innocent childlike enjoyment...
Would you rather drive on Route 66 or on the interstate? When you are on the interstate it is so boring because there is nothing to look at. Who would want to do that for most of your day and who would be happy with looking at trees and other cars and who would want to spend there whole day doing that because I know I would not want to do that. But on Route 66 you have so much to look at and Route 66 can take you back in time by used to "grand" high way. What would you do if that was you?
knowing that they are going the speed limit and are at a less risk of getting into an accident.
I am not known for traveling but my family and I go camping every summer. We like to go different places each summer. For example last year my family and I went to a campground
Everyone who has ever been to Disney World thinks it’s going to be the vacation of a lifetime but when we went it was the vacation from Hell!
The Main Street station, is the curtains to a large production as if the Magic Kingdom was a theater. As I wander beneath the archway, I notice that above the arch is a plaque that reads: “Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy”. As I continue to stroll through the passage on the way to Main Street, there are posters of “upcoming attractions” that line the walls on both sides. I then step into Main Street U.S.A. and begin to hear the Victorian style orchestra playing over the speakers. I notice some Disney pals in Town Square greeting guests as if they were old friends. Then I begin to travel further down the street, and the smell of the caramel apples, chocolate chip cookies, and other sweets walk out of the open doors of the bakery and into the street. At the end of this turn of the century town, sits the one hundred eightyninefoottall, Cinderella Castle. This moment is a pivotal moment in any Disney vacation, because the castle is well known to millions. I get
1. Compare and contrast driving in the winter and driving in the summer. Driving in the winter and in the summer are two very different settings. They have different variables that make them so distinguished and so contrasting. Both seasons can be dangerous for drivers in their own ways.
ESCAPE At Disney World the amusement park is at its closing. With the moon glistening in the sky the line is at its end for It’s a Small World. Bren is 16 and has long black hair, hazel eyes, and a black mini skirt with a white mickey mouse shirt. Tulula her best friend is wearing a red shirt with white shorts and and has brown hair and green eyes. They are excited to aboard the ride they’ve rode on dozens of times before.

Ever since I was about six years old, I wanted in the worst way to go to Disneyland. I would hope every year that my parents would chose Disneyland as our next family vacation destination. I dreamt of the day I would come back from Disneyland with exciting tales of adventure and a pair of sparkly, ruby red and black Minnie Mouse ears of my very own that would be the envy of every kid in my elementary class. Once I finally went to Disneyland, it was amazing; Disneyland was everything I had expected and more. However, a couple years later when I returned to Disneyland, it was different. The rides, buildings, and everything in the park did not have the same allure. The magic I had experienced as a child was no longer there.
Driving during the winter months in snowy regions can be tough. Poorly plowed roads, black ice, blowing snow and whiteout conditions can cause all types of problems for travelers. It is important for all drivers to be prepared for winter traveling emergencies, but it is especially important when traveling with young children. As adults, your first job when stranded in a car in severe winter weather is to take care of the health and safety of your little ones strapped into the backseat of your car. Every parent should have a winter travel emergency kit during snowy seasons that is packed with essential supplies.
