Deep sea fishing is an exciting sport that many people from all walks of life can enjoy all around the world. When I have the opportunity to partake in this sport it always gets my blood pumping, and I’m as excited as a little kid in a candy store. In my experience deep sea fishing is a sport of patience; one that can teach you a lot more about life other than just snagging a big fish if you allow yourself to see the beauty in it. Once you cast out your fishing line into the ocean, it can take just a few minutes, hours or even days to catch a fish.
There are many personal reasons why I go deep sea fishing. The first reason is because fishing is a great stress reliever. The peacefulness of being on the ocean makes all the worries of the world drift away and helps me forget any troubles in my life. The second
For example, freshwater fishing is mostly in calm water and steady weather, but in saltwater fishing the weather can change and become dangerous within seconds. Also the equipment used is different; different bait and different rods. If you are fishing in a lake for bass, crappie or bluegill you would most likely use worms, crickets or artificial bait. Artificial bait is very common for freshwater fishing, because it is made to look and move like live bait underwater. In deep sea fishing you use larger live bait for most ocean dwelling fish because they find their prey by scent. Because freshwater fish are smaller, more lightweight reels, rods and lines can be used. Another difference is the amount of work and effort that is exerted in either type of fishing. Deep sea fishing requires more strength than freshwater fishing because of the weather and strength of the waves. Both fishing styles require patience but the methods used are very different. No matter how experienced you are it’s more difficult to perfect the art of deep sea
fish would stay in shallow waters making them easier to catch. They caught fish such as red fish
The stories of each fish flow together as each story shows how humans have pushed to gain more control over the ocean and the delicious animals that swim in it’s depths. Greenberg starts in the free-flowing rivers where salmon are commonly found. It is there that early humans of the Northern Hemisphere most likely began their infatuation with fish. Greenberg puts it as, “It(salmon) is representative of the first wave of human exploitation..” (170) Once Europeans learned to fish, they had the ability to fish in shallow ocean water which is where sea bass are usually found. Later, fishermen s...
Because they can't see very well in clear water, bass are not attracted to lightly colored baits yet if you use a dark colored bait your chances for catching bass in clear water greatly increase. Many bass anglers have said that they find that dark black, blue, brown and green baits like crankbaits, spoons and spinners seem to work exceptionally well when fishing in clear water situations.
Since three-forth of the world is composed of bodies of water, it’s natural that a great number of people rely on fishing for their livelyhood or just for their recreation needs. There are numerous of fish species swimming under the lakes, seas, ponds, and rivers. Most anglers consider fishing as the delight in their purpose-driven life, a sport, as they say.
“The only real similarity between the two is that they both catch fish. However, that is where the similarities stop”(“The Difference Between...”). This means that everything else is different in its own way. Fly fishing is different from spin fishing in its techniques, baits, and equipment.
Conclusively and strongly stressed to the naive freshwater fisherman, freshwater fishing can shockingly differ from saltwater fishing. Successful freshwater fishing is allowed by simpler and more practical means, including a wider range of lure selections, limp and simple line, and the lightest of gear. It has minimal demands on fishermen and equipment. Saltwater fishing, on the other hand, surely does not.
My family fishes on a dock, but many people fish on a boat out on the water. Fishing can also vary with the type of bait used. My family uses live bait, but there are other types of baits and lures that fisherman use, such as worms or rubber lures. The bait used depends on the type of fish you’re fishing for and the type of water you’re fishing in. Rods also vary depending on the type of fish you are looking to catch, and the environment you are fishing in. My family uses carbon fiber fishing rods, but there are many different types such as fly rods, trolling rods and surf rods. Fishing is a great pastime and the many different variables help to make the activity
Fishing in Illinois has been important to Illinois from the first settlement to today. Back in the day, people needed to feed their families and now people have something that a lot of people find as an enjoyable sport. Fishing and hunting are alike because they are both outdoor sports that requires a heap of patience, but they are different due to variance in weather, equipment, and environment. Both sports require years of practice and knowledge of the hunters and the fisherman's rules. In the end, it is always nice to get the “big one” like a monster buck or trout. According to a recent report, patience in the sport of hunting and fishing encourages one to try and work hard to reach the goal of catching the large buck and the heaviest speckled trout. Having patience is a skill that hunters and fishermen work to improve.
Since the start of time, humans have been catching fish. The sport has, in many ways, evolved hugely, and yet in many aspects has stayed exactly the same. To me fishing is unique and I find it can be anything from relaxing to a very intense experience.
These are spinning reels designed for smaller fish. You would probably use a reels like this for lakes.

Due to the demand many packaging for the fish can find its was back to sea, or when fishermen are out at sea they can leave their garbage. Many nets from the boats and gears can also be found in the water, that fish can later see as food, eat it, and die; this ties back to extinction in fish. There is much pollution and decline stocks in fish because it is very hard to regulate the seas. To fulfill the growing demand for seafood, many companies are forced to fish beyond areas that are supposed to be non-fishing zones. This is because there are hardly any laws or restrictions telling them where they can and cannot fish. Sally Driscoll and Tom Warhol report in, ‘Overfishing’, that itt wasn’t until 1956 where we saw our first regulation, the United Nations organized the first UN Convention of the Law of the Sea or the NCLOS which helped promote rights of all countries by establishing boundaries off shore. Meaning that some seafood fished in certain areas of the ocean cannot be sold in certain countries, and in some areas it is illegal to fish unless you have a permit from that country. Economy also helps make it harder to regulate the seas, in ‘Overfishing’ it is explained that Preisdent Barack Obama brought up Antiquities Act of 1906, that let fishermen expand their fishing areas. The United Nations FAO estimates that 25 percent of all fish trapped in nets are labeled unusable or not licensed for fishing by the
The types of fish that are available will vary with each type of location and conditions and the person manning a small fishing supply can also give you a quick orientation of what you'll need to catch the most common game in the area you expect to spend time at. If I'm traveling between islands, I'll generally stay away from bait rigs as it's just too much of a hassle and prospects are good enough with a simple lure. Depending upon where you are, however, the colors of the lures and the type of action will make a big difference in your ability to get a chase from the fish in the

"Losses estimated due to pirate fishing are estimated between 10 to 23.5 billion U.S.dollars per year, representing 11 and 26 million fish." (Environmental Justice Foundation, 2011).
