Peopl People Sacrifice

If nobody made sacrifices we would be living in a world where everybody was selfish and only cared about themselves. Even if it is not very enjoyable to make some sacrifices, they are a necessary part of life. They allow people to live together in unity. Sacrifices vary for every person; when making a sacrifice, people can sacrifice different things, gain different things, and have different reasons for making the sacrifice.
A person can give up a variety of things when making a sacrifice. Some typical things that people give up are time, money, or comfort. A person would sacrifice their time by spending time doing what someone else designates instead of what they would prefer to be doing, such as playing with a sibling or doing a task for someone. A person would sacrifice their money when they donate to a cause or they purchase something for someone else. A person would sacrifice comfort when they give up something that makes them comfortable, but is not necessary to life, such as giving the coat they are wearing to someone who does not have one. Time, money, and comfort are common but meaningful things that people sacrifice.

For some people it is enough to know that they helped someone or did the right thing. Having a good feeling inside is enough of a reward for them. However, there are also people that feel that they must gain something from making a sacrifice. They feel that the reward for making a sacrifice should amount to something greater than they gave up, such as when a child will not give their cookie to a friend who does not have one until they are promised something better. People gain a sense of accomplishment, and for some people, a greater thing than they gave up when they make
