Soccer has guided me in many ways to become the person I am. Especially in high school, the sport has showed me how to be much more cooperative and open with others. Before high school, I isolated myself from others and had only a few close friends. Rather than being a sociable, I acted as though I was the only person in the world and had the outlook that as long as I do what is right individually, there is no need for me to work with others. This outlook changed when I joined the soccer team at Holy Spirit, my high school. With the way soccer is at the high school level, I had no choice but to cooperate and associate my selves with others. Once on the field, instead of introducing myself as "me" I had to introduce myself as a part of the team. You win as a team and you lose as a team. Sometimes I wanted to drive to games myself, and I was not allowed to because we are supposed to travel together and it would be wrong to the team for me to separate myself from the group.
From an early age I always knew I would be playing soccer my whole life. My dad showed me the ropes of how to play and got me interested right away. By the age of three I had started playing, and to this day I have not stopped. Soccer has been a huge part of my life and I don’t know where I would be today if I never played. I met some amazing people playing soccer including my coaches who encouraged me and told me never to give up as well as my teammates who became my friends and were always there for me.
Soccer has helped me to become the person I am today. It has given me the opportunity to build relationships that I would not have made elsewhere. Playing the sport has helped me overcome my issues with anger and has made me tougher as well. I am thankful that my parents pushed me to keep playing when I was younger, because now I adore playing soccer and could not imagine
While I have developed my soccer skills over the years, the relationships I have built with people are treasured more than my ability to play the game. Playing soccer has granted me the opportunity to be surrounded by an extensive family of people who truly love me. I am forever indebted to the sport for bringing me into love-filled relationships with players and coaches alike.
I give in. My passion for writing is growing larger and larger each day, it has become the only thing I think about on a daily basis. It’s turning into a nuisance! I curse it to the back of my head every time it comes to fore thought. It twists my guts into an almost wrenching pain when I don’t have the chance to write something down on a piece of paper and make it my own. It forces the air from my chest as if I were a cartoon character with an anvil flattened. Where did I get this from, you ask? Let me tell you a story that explains my passion. Sit back, and enjoy the ride.
I played soccer since I was seven, as of the last few years I played at a very high level. I have represented Ohio South two times at a regional showcase, I have been invited to participate in a camp in Manchester, England and attended the camp twice. Also last Season for the Newark High School soccer team I was named first team all league and third team all central district. Soccer was the first sport I truly loved to do, I wanted to be the best. I work hours upon hours to master whatever part of the game I wanted to improve on. Soccer has taught me to have a great work ethic, and that mentality came when I was cut from the state team the first time I tried out. It was the worst thing that has ever happened to me, I was destroyed, and I thought I was not good but I knew I could do better. The next year I worked, I got bigger, stronger, faster, my soccer I.Q. was higher;therefore, overall I was a much better player. The result of that work, was that I made the team, but not only, I made the starting line up. After that I knew I could accomplish anything I put my mind to.

Let's begin by saying in life success is always achieved with hard work. The sport has taught me that by proving it to myself . Hard work made me become a better soccer player, made me play varsity as a sophomore, and helped me become a varsity captain for my senior year of soccer. This sport has prepared me in life to work hard in school, to get good grades and where I want to be. This quality will help me in college to get the degree I want on time and become successful in life.
The definition of soccer: “A game played by two teams of eleven players with a round ball that may not be touched with the hands or arms during play except by the goalkeepers. The object of the game is to score goals by kicking or heading the ball into the opponent 's ' goal.” When I think about the thing I’m most passionate about, soccer pops into my head right away. Soccer represents more than just a game to me. The sport gives me an outlet distract me from the real world, it taught me to overcome a battle that shaped my character, and my teammates bring out the best in me.
Soccer has always been a part of my life since I was four years old, it has also been in my family for a very long time. Baseball! After playing baseball, at a very high level, for over fifteen years and acting as the head coach for my son and daughter (baseball / softball) I have developed a deep passion for this sport. Growing up in Wichita, which has a rich history of baseball, I spent many hours on the diamond and watching games at Wichita State University and Lawrence Dumont Stadium. Lawrence Dumont Stadium has been the home for several to single, double and triple – A teams and annually hosts summer baseball tournaments for college and professional players. The Wichita State University Baseball Team, under the coaching of Gene Stephenson (1978 – 2013), has consistently been one of the top rated teams in the NCAA. Playing at a higher level, I was fortunate
The movie Sin Nombre "Without a name" emphasizes the violence in Latin America and show the journey of those who attempt to come to the U.S. the movie was released in 2009. Even though it has been 6 years I believe violence and the attempt to come to the U.S for a better life is still the same but the violence has increased and many people end up dead on their way to find a better and non-violent place to live. The reasons why many people immigrate to the U.S is to escape from the country's violence and to reunite with their families as in the movie Sayra's father has been deported but now he wants to go back with his family and to take his daughter and brother to have a better life. Meanwhile Willy, also known as Casper tries to escape
Soccer is a sport that you have to be good with your feet to play. It’s great because it’s played completely different from most sports. Since it’s with your feet and not your hands, not everyone can play it and it makes the sport great. Another sport that you need to have skill and repetition to play. Basketball requires the player to be able to shoot a basketball in a hoop while under defensive pressure.
Another reason soccer is better is because there is more support in soccer. Another reason soccer is better is because it doesn't really require a certain physical requirement like in football because in football you have to have an certain physical requirement to be able to play an certain position. Lastly another reason why soccer is way better then football is because soccer is an Olympic sport not like football, also it is better because in soccer there is international competition but in football there isn't any because football is only an American sport, another reason is because there is less injuries in soccer then there is in football in football you can get injured really quick and it can last for a long time in soccer you can get injured but it won't be as serious like it is in football. Another reason why I believe soccer is better is because in soccer the coaches will respect you and not cuss at you like in football the coaches may cuss at you and they may even hit you in soccer you will build a strong bond with the coach and just respect each
