One example that I can give in regards to passion and love is personal, one about my own relationship with my husband of over 15 years. We first met when I was 21 and he was 23. Having both been in other relationships before we were not taking it too seriously. However the chemistry, and passion was obvious from the moment we laid eyes on one another. We honestly, thought this would be a fun casual fling. So, after a couple of times hanging out the feelings started to become stronger and stronger, we could no longer ignore the signs. The passion and love was something that neither of us has felt before, and after talking we decided what the hell, let’s give this a go. We’ve never been apart since. I have to say that even after all these years we still have that undeniable connection whenever we see each other. Not to say that there hadn’t been bad times, or times when our sex life was not like it …show more content…

Lust is an incredibly strong feeling that can prove to be almost uncontrollable, leading it to commonly be mistaken for love. Due to the relative closeness of these emotions, both are often confused, and even when one is in love he or she does not recognize it. Many think that love just comes knocking on one's door and one will know when it does, but they don't realize that for love to occur a relationship has must be worked out. Love is described by some as fireworks, tingles, and butterflies in the stomach; but it is lust that can cause these things to happen, and it is these that mark only the beginning of a relationship. After a while, these feelings die out, and this is when the honeymoon period is over; it is from this point on that the relationship will either end or get stronger and eventually lead to true love.

There is a connection between two people, in which they can make compromises and smart decisions. The love grows stronger with time and is not instant. Throughout the play, Hamlet demonstrates many performances and words of nobility in Acts 1 through 5. Hamlet proved to be loyal and respective to his parents, and disapproves the use of violence. In addition, other character such as Ophelia, Laertes, and Horatio declares Hamlet as “noble”. By the end of the play, Hamlet emerges as a young noble prince; albeit a tragic one.
Infatuation will be very short-lived on its own, and without the other partner to maintain physical contact or some portion of love, it will die out. Infatuation primarily consists of lust in the beginning, that will fade just as quickly as it started if it is not fueled. Alternatively, love will only deepen with the passage of time and the partnership will only grow stronger (“Infatuation”). Given enough cooperation, a relationship where both partners can rely on each other will form.
Passion is energy toward a relationship, or in the words of “Understanding Human Sexuality,” “Passion is a motivational component of love” (Hyde, Delamater 282). Passion includes physical attraction, the drive for sexual expression and physiological arousal. This can be interpreted simply as a more romantic form of lust. Passion is where the distinction is made between romantic love and love of a parent, child or best friend. Something to be aware of, is that unfortunately passion is something that quickly fades, when in a long term relationship or a marriage. Therefore, it is important to actively engage one another and try to keep the passion

It's helpful to know the difference between loving someone and "being in love," and it helps to do both in a relationship. People make a mistake in thinking of love as a steady, unchanging emotion. Being "in love" can transform into a deeper, constant desire to be together and share a life. But, as everyone knows, being "in love" doesn't always turn into a forever type of relationship. Passion over-rules compassion. The self is what matters the most.
