Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education." - Martin Luther King, Jr. In this essay I will explain the consequences of adopting a pass/fail grading sys-tem. To begin let me define the pass/fail grading system is when the student re-ceives either a passing grade or a failing grade rather than a more accurate rank-ing of sucess. This means that the students only have more opportunity or option to pass or fail the class. A lot of schools apply this system, therefore this system has been studied for professionals that agree and some of them disagree. How they know or study the consequences of applying this system to students? First of all they analyze students' behavior or in a more professional word, students are evaluated psychologically. Certainly some people don't understand how school's principals not choose this system, recognizing that the danger of a student failing a class is higher, and the most im-portant thing every principals and teachers should be aware and concern about is knowing the effects that produce on students' life. That's another factor schools oversee to apply the pass/fail grading system, actually this students benefits the students in a lot of ways. I already explained all the benefits that apply to this pass/fail system, now it's time to talk about the negative response of this system towards students and their responsabilities with school.
