Partial Birth Abortion is Murder
Partial birth abortion is a controversial method of abortion late in a woman’s pregnancy in which the baby is aborted by a craniotomy. Two organizations are commonly affiliated with abortion: Pro-choice supports abortion saying that what is in a woman’s body is her “property”, while Pro-life believes it is murder of innocent babies. Partial birth abortion is murder of innocent children and an abomination to basic human rights and values.

Imagine being in excruciating pain from a gaping hole in the back of your neck. Then you hear a slight “whirr” before your brains are sucked out through a tiny tube. Sadly this happens to many babies each day because they are unwanted, inconvenient, or imperfect. The abortionist first delivers the baby breech style except for the head, scissors are then jammed into the head at the base of the skull, and the brains sucked out, the skull then collapses. This procedure is commonly known as partial birth abortion or Intact Dilation and E...

The Independent Journal published the first Federalist essay in 1787, closely following the Constitutional Convention. This was one of 85 essays that were all soon published in support of the Constitution. The essays were all published under the alias name “Publius.” All essays were compiled into a single volume titled The Federalist Papers. The Federalist Papers is considered a significant illustration of American political philosophy under the Articles of Confederation, which were adopted by the Continental Congress. The Articles set up the first legislative system that unified the thirteen states that battled in the American Revolution. A major theme that was discussed in the essays centers around the idea that the United States could not continue to endure under the Articles of Confederation and the weaknesses that accompany it. The Articles gave states the authority to create their own laws, however they were unsuccessful in creating a strong government. The essay suggested that immediate action be taken to prevent the impending anarchy that would ensue under these Articles.
In order for the pro-life argument to be valid, it must have both a true premise and true conclusion. It falls short of validity by assuming that a fetus up to 22 weeks old is a person, and has its own rights independent of its host, or what we often refer to as its mother. First we must recognize the subtle, yet extremely important distinction between a human being and a person. It is obvious that a fetus is a member of the human ...
The debate of abortion continues to be a controversial problem in society and has been around for many decades. According to Jone Lewis, “In the United States, abortion laws began to appear in the 1820’s, forbidding abortion after the fourth month of pregnancy” (1). This indicates that the abortion controversy has been debated far back into American history. Beginning in the 1900’s, legalized abortion became a major controversy. In 1965, all fifty states in the United States banned abortion; however, that was only the beginning of the controversy that still rages today (Lewis 1). After abortion was officially banned in the United States, groups such as the National Abortion Rights Action League worked hard on a plan to once again legalize abortion in the United States (Lewis 1). It wasn’t until 1970 when the case of Roe (for abortion) v. Wade (against abortion) was brought...
...e open to all women at any point of pregnancy, and that the woman reserves the right as a fully conscious member of the moral community to choose to carry the child or not. She argues that fetuses are not persons or members of the moral community because they don’t fulfill the five qualities of personhood she has fashioned. Warren’s arguments are valid, mostly sound, and cover just about all aspects of the overall topic. However much she was inconsistent on the topic of infanticide, her overall writing was well done and consistent. Warren rejects emotional appeal in a very Vulcan like manner; devout to reason and logic and in doing so has created a well-written paper based solely on this rational mindset.
Late-term abortion is a very controversial method of aborting the baby after the twentieth week of gestation. There are many different grotesque procedures to perform. These kinds of abortions are contradicted by many religions and morals. Late-term abortions almost devastate some mothers because they have spent so much time being pregnant and making an emotional connection with the baby. Some believe this to be murderous and inhumane.
An issue that has flared up in today’s society, abortion is a highly debated topic that has sparked some of the most violent discussions. The rapid growth in teenage pregnancy has only increased the amount of attention that has been drawn to abortion and whether it is ethical or not. While some say that a woman is in power of her own body and can make choices based on her best interest, some take much offense to that and demand that a baby is a baby no matter how small it is and that abortion is never okay. It is important to know going into this debate that to argue one side, one would have to be 100% consistent with that decision because of all of the grey areas that come up regarding abortion. With that being said, I still believe that a mother should take responsibility of the situation and recognize that, even though it is minuscule, a baby is a person the moment it begins to develop inside of her.
Unsafe abortion is thus a pressing issue. Both of the primary methods for preventing unsafe aborti...
When it comes to art, first thing that comes to our mind is the beauty of it; the realism, the story, the scale, or even sometimes the frame work. But what really brings all of these elements is one simple word, hue (color), with which you are able to play around with in order of changing the story and the drama of the art piece. Everybody is able to paint or draw, but the main key is how to play around with the colors in order to grab the attention of the audience.
Abortion is one of the most controversial and highly debatable issues in the United States today. This hot topic has put both the supporting and opposing sides in an uproar to defend their positions. In abortion, a fetus is deliberately terminated from the woman’s womb. Though there are several different methods of abortion, they all aim to rid of the potential child. When carefully reading descriptions of the techniques to abort a fetus, one does not shrug it off their shoulders and write it off as morally acceptable. Every method is horrific no matter what perspective you take on the matter of abortion. Whether it is the “suction-aspiration” method or the “dilation and extract” method, one still realizes the gruesomeness of the process. How can anyone who values human beings overlook words and phrases like “cut the fetus into scraps to extricate it from the womb” or “the brain is sucked out with a vacuum”? While some people argue that abortion is a right and should remain legal, I believe that there are too many flaws with their claims to protect abortion for it to be preserved.
It is saddening to see humans of the female gender, who find themselves in a situation that requires introducing a new life into the world; to abort such a precious gift. Many may wonder how these poor, innocent, unborn children are then discarded after the abortion procedure. One cannot fathom the reason of these gruesome murders that happens within these medical facilities. Babies are disposed in the red waste bins of these facilities, and later incinerated. Some may either be flushed down garbage disposals or even be sold off for research purposes. The issue of abortion is not just a social one, but also a human rights issue among the unborn children. I believe if the human rights of these children has been violated, then all other rights of humans are certainly meaningless.
Expecting to completely eliminate abortions from the face of the earth by making them illegal and getting rid of the facilities that provide them is an awfully absurd idea due to the fact that abortions will never cease to exist. Induced abortions have taken place all over the world, and “societies have [been struggling with] the issue of abortion for millennia” (Abortion). Within countries where abortions are essentially illegal, many turn to unsafe abortion methods, usually performed by unskilled practitioners (Chapter 5). These procedures are “often unsanitary… and [result] in the death or mutilation of many women” (Abortion). In areas where these services are not attainable, many women are prompted to seek out specialists to assist them in dangerous and surreptitious methods of abortion such as repeated blows to the stomach and the insertion of bizarre objects in the vagina and cervix. However, abortion-related deaths are usually quite rare in developed countries where the service is both legal and accessible. It is estimated...
“Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak” once said Coco Chanel, one of the greatest fashion designers. Style is being able to convey one’s self through the use of fashion, i.e. taking what is offered and making it something that coordinates with your attitude. I would like to spread style throughout the world and inspire others to create their own sense of style. I aspire to become the editor of a major fashion magazine similar to Elle or Vogue. Throughout this essay, I discuss the various ways and requirements to one day editing my own fashion magazine.
Abortion is can be defined as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy (Dordon,2012). It is sensitive but yet popular topic that brings a lot of debate in both the government and as well as with religion and everyday life (Gauthier, 1986). Why is abortion such a controversial issue? The reason for this is because with abortion it allows a woman to put an end to their pregnancy when they want too (Korsgaard, 2013). The problem with that is when women do that they are also abolishing the life of a primitive embryo, also known as a fetus. The issue of abortion dates back to over thousands of years ago (Warren,1997). In the United States of America abortion began to become an issue around 1820 (Dordon,2012) . At the time the law had stated that abortion could only be performed on individuals if they had not reach the fourth month mark into their pregnancy(Gauthier, 1986). If they were already at the fourth mark they were rejected for legal abortion procedure and it was then considered illegal. There are different types of procedures that are used for an abortion (Korsgaard, 2013).There are only two types that are really in the United ...
The society is the main target of the fashion industry. The need of an identity is what brings them to the fashion world. Well-known designers use their positions in the fashion industry to promote certain conceptions such as identity questions, sexuality, distribution of power, and formation of various social and cultural discourses. (Lalovic, 2013) Most people find themselves in wearing what they want to be able to express their feelings or show their personalities. The trends are getting into the way because most people choose quantity over quality. (Zegheanu, 2014) But there are designers whose goals are to design clothes for consumers to look good and make them feel distinctive. For example, in Australia they have a law called Designs act 2003 which states designs cannot be the same or substantially similar to a design that has already been produced even if the design is just a sketch. (“Designs for fashion”, 2015) The technology is another great factor in terms of helping the fashion industry. With these two combined, designers will be able to create new masterpieces that the society never imagined to happen. (“How Fashion And Technology Impact Each Other”, 2013) With fashion involved, IT companies can actually gain a lot in the long term process. One example is, for every $1 million a company invests in fashionable technologies, the CEO would typically reap around $45,000 in the next year. IT companies who engage with the fashion industry can bring short-term social approval to companies and their chief executives, which will become a long term success for them. (Wang, 2010) To end this, fashion depends greatly on society and technology, but it also leaves a great impact on these two
Abortions have always been a very controversial topic. Over the years we continue to fight for or against it. One can say that is one of the most talked and argued topic in the United States. An abortion is when a woman terminates her pregnancy before the fetus is viable using various of methods. Some argue that abortions should be illegal and considered murder, while others, from a religious point of view, say that no one has the right to take away the life of a person, in this case the fetus. However, others insist, that abortions are a basic women’s right.
