Her tragic error is that “she partied a lot, used the drugs cocaine and meth; she was drinking while clubbing and always wanted to be the center of attention and in the spotlight for anything no matter how good or bad it was”(Lebiedzinski pg 6). This gave her and her family a bad reputation and bad press all over the news and in the newspapers. Her reputation was destroyed once people found out that she was affiliated with these bad things, doing these bad things with her life and it gave people a bad taste about her after that. She didn’t care about what kind of reputation she had because she just wanted attention for her actions. She had realized what she was doing after a
“Ah, the creative process is the same secret in science as it is in art,” said Josef Mengele, comparing science to an art. He was less of an artist and more of a curious, debatably crazy, doctor. He was a scientist in Nazi Germany. In general, there was a history of injustice in the world targeting a certain race. When Mengele was around, there were very few medical regulations, so no consent had to be given for doctors to take patients’ cells and other tests done on the patients’ bodies without their consent. This was the same time that Henrietta Lacks lived. Henrietta Lacks was an African American woman who went to the doctor because she had cervical cancer. Her cells were taken and are still alive in culture today (Skloot 41). Hence, her cells were nicknamed Immortal (Skloot 41). Although many, at the time, saw no issue with using a patient without consent issue with what?, on numerous occasions since then courts have determined that having consent is necessary for taking any cells. The story of Henrietta lacks is has similarities to an episode of Law and Order titled Immortal, which is an ethical conundrum. Despite this, the shows are not exactly the same and show differences between them. Both of these stories, one supposedly fictional, can also be compared to the injustices performed by Josef Mengele in Nazi Germany.
Lindsay Lohan is a prime example of a tragic hero because of how she increasingly let her arrogance influence her actions and behaviors throughout time. Her early life presented she had everything she needed for a promising future, and though the pinnacle of her life didn’t last long, it was fulfilled her to the highest extent. Herself, and the people and events she encountered in her life led her to her downfall infused with her infamous tragedies. Lindsay Lohan’s fatal flaw caused her to stray away from her promising future and delve into a world of mistakes.
Perhaps this self-sentencing is her noble moral cause, or the very extreme of evil indulgence in self-pity and stupidity; self absorption at the eminent loss of human life, including her own. Maybe she's just spoiled and stubborn.

From hitting No. 1 on the charts to rehabilitation centers, Britney Spears was a 90’s icon who had many ups and downs in her life. “I Want to be useful or bring enjoyment to all people even those who I’ve never met, I want to go on living even after my death!” (from a Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank). This quote has a lot of meaning because she wanted to be remembered and I am now writing and telling about her eighty one years later. Anne Frank is a hero because she was a spirited young Jewish girl that had to go into hiding at the age of thirteen.
“Feminist” has a negative connotation nowadays; we often times here people call feminists “feminazis,” “man haters,” or even just a “bitch.” Many people think that “feminism is anti- male” (Hooks). Many female celebrities stay hush about the issues surrounding females every day, but Lena Dunham is not one of them. Stemming from a family of artists, Lena became a writer, actress, producer, and director and was put in the spotlight. Instead of keeping hush about the world and Hollywood’s issues pertaining to the mistreatment of not only women, but those of different genders and other oppressed people as well. Lena Dunham shows her bold character and feminist visions by using her pedestal to speak out on social and political issues.
For this reason, she indulged in drugs, to release her from the drama and unhappiness in her life. Drugs do not solve the problem, it makes things even worse, because one is focused on numbing themselves from the pain, so that they can still manage their everyday lives. There is nothing wrong with having no inhibitions and just letting go of everything that consumes you. I believe that if Whitney could have established her identity at an early age and freed herself from the pressures of her family and media, that she would still be alive and happy.
One of the most persistent stereotypes of (dis)Abled individuals is that they are evil or villainous and as such are predisposed to criminality due to some type impairment. Nothing is farthest from the truth.. Although, people with intellectual disorders and mental health issues are a growing population within the criminal justice system, they are still more often than not victims of crime as a result of their circumstances. People with developmental and cognitive impairments or significant mental health issues in many cases lack impulse control or display inappropriate emotions that the criminal justice system may misinterpret, thus bringing criminal charges for such offenses as causing a disturbance or mischief. When the police are confronted with a situation that involves a cognitively impaired or mentally ill person the police do not know how to respond in an appropriate manner. This image is seen throughout the media over the past few years. One has to look at the tragic death of Sammy Yatim or Michael Eligon to see these image.
Heroism. Heroism is “heroic conduct” or “courageous action”(“Heroism”). People throughout America’s history, and the world’s history, for more than hundreds of years, have satisfied the standards of heroism, rising above and doing what is right. Heroism doesn’t have to mean saving somebody’s life. To be a hero, one does not need a cape or a villain to fight. Exhibiting acts of heroism can be as small helping retrieve a cat from a tree or as large as helping put out the fire of a burning building. Whether one’s acts of heroism are miniscule or major, they occur every day by ordinary people, proving their extraordinary abilities. After World War II ended, many acts of heroism were displayed that are still remembered today, specifically involving Operation Little Vittles. Over two million citizens living in West Berlin were doomed, cut off from the outside world by the Russians, praying for a miracle. Their wish came true when a handful of pilots agreed to drop thousands of tons of food and fuel from the air in Berlin. One of these esteemed pilots goes by the name of Gail Halvorsen, who changed the situation of the Russian blockade for the better. Halvorsen made the daring decision to drop thousands of individual packages of candy to all of the sweet deprived citizens of West Berlin. Pilot Gail Halvorsen contributed a daring effort by flying day in and day out dropping candy all with the hopes of trying to improve the awful conditions for those involved in the blockade, putting smiles on people’s faces and living up to the standards of heroism.
She was sent to a non-social work environment which had numerous work barriers. The people she was assigned to work with showed her little to no support, which frustrated her efforts. She wanted to quit but thought about the hope the same people she was helping had lost.
It is also very obvious that her parents are, and have always been, unquestionably supportive of her. Which is probably why she's not a train wreck as a result of her whirlwind rise to fame. She seems so incredibly grounded. Above all, there is no denying how intelligent she is, which was proven when she told Oprah that she completely avoids all news stories, social media blurbs, and any other gossip about her. She is wise enough to understand that even if she truly does not care what
