When I became a parent in 2011 my priority for my child's spiritual growth was at the top of my list. I continue to strive for my relationship with God to flourish and to be an example of what it means to have a relationship with God for my son to see. I try to make it a daily task, when possible; that we bless our food before meals, worship together by listening to gospel music and singing along, talk about God, read the bible together, read devotionals together, and pray before bed together. I understand that parents are children’s first teachers and that makes me want to be better in my walk with God because I know parenting is the ministry that God has for me at this time.
Coming back to pursue furthering my education from a career
in non for profit for the past 10 years was something that I never saw myself doing, unless I was in a career that would pick up a majority of its cost. When the state budget was cut in April for Human Services, my organization endured a massive lay off and I found myself in a search for more than just a career, I found myself wanting more of God and less of me. That search led me to continue in my passion of helping people and led me into wanting to become a Christian Counselor by pursing a Master Of Arts in Christian Ministry at Olivet. I'm not sure if this path will lead me even further to pursue Master of Arts in Divinity at Olivet and possibly going into chaplaincy or pastoring but I am excited to expand my knowledge in God's word and various aspects of Christianity. Parenting and unexpected job loss have put me into a place where I am trusting God to fully direct my paths and that I can use everything that I have been through and go through to bless others.

After seeing though the eyes of my pastor I’ve come to realize the importance of faith and committing to one’s beliefs. Returning to church after two massive losses has helped my mother in many ways and it has also taught me as a young man how small things that I could do would turn to have a big impact on someone’s life the same way my pastor impacted my life and the life of my siblings.
My perseverance has prepared me for a career in medicine. The path towards becoming a physician can be long and challenging, necessitating the ability to endure. In addition, I worked on weekends to help support my family financially. This persistence resulted in scholarship awards that made higher education a possibility.
There are a lot of reasons why I chose to pursue pharmacy as my career and they all point to the most important reason: pharmacy is a great fit for my life and is something I have become increasingly passionate about. It started when I was researching careers with my parents and my dad suggested pharmacy and, simply put, it sparked my interest because at the time it was one of the few things I thought I would not hate doing. A healthcare career has always been where I put myself in the future, mainly because most of my family members are in the healthcare field. However, I have never been one that could directly help the wounded or deal with anything gory, but am very intrigued by the growing science of pharmacy. As I continue exploring pharmacy, the more I enjoy learning about it and feel like I could excel in this career.
This research paper will explore primarily the impact of African American single-parent households on the children that live in these environments. This is a very important issue and more awareness is needed. Research has provided evidence that single-parent households are one of many risk factors that can negatively affect a child’s educational outcome, emotional health and social behavior. Although not all single-parent family households have disadvantages, the focus of his study is to shed more light on the issues and offer solutions. Understanding and applying above information can help me to adjust and apply new things to my current parenting strategy. Instead of focusing too much on thinking what I should do for my children, I spend time to understand and explore what my children really need in each stage of their life. Especially during adolescence or teenager period, I desire to not only be their mom, but also be their real friend, whom my children can share everything with, even the most secret in their life. Therefore, I learn and practice day-by-day listening to my children, respecting what they want to do, and accepting various aspects of my children. On the other hand, I try all my best to protect my children from dangerous situations, but still prevent overprotecting them from small things, and give them some spaces to explore and learn new things by themselves. Besides that, the hustle and bustle of life easily makes my husband and I fall into some stress issues unintentionally that also affects our parenting approaches. We need to learn to control our temper as much as possible because it is important to be as calm and reasonable when explaining rules or carry them out in front of my children. As parent works are never done, each parent can make mistakes and learning from mistakes also can bring some benefits to adjust our parenting. Although the focus is on the child, my husbands and I never forget about each other. We love, understand and take care each other and proudly show my children that we are happy, united and consistent when doing or saying something to them. We do all my best and enjoy experiencing the toughest yet most meaningful job in our life – the
Raising your child to your own ideals is important to every parent and is what makes themselves a good parent. How your child grows up is important to every parent, and it most of what they think about. I began to get fascinated by our capitalist world’s economy at a very early age of my life. Growing up, I was incredibly curious to unravel how systems function, and this curiosity developed into a burning desire to learn how processes and organizations operate and run our world. As I started my first job, I realized how much I needed to be better acquainted with the science of money making and the scientific approaches to money management. Later on in my life, being within a company system, I wanted to see the big picture by learning where such a company stands in the midst of all other business interactions locally and internationally. Being involved in the company’s practices I started analyzing the methods used by my managers, the causes and consequences of their managerial choices.
The first responsibility that I think is very important is being a good example for your kids. Parents are examples for their kids whether they like it or not. My boys watch and copy everything that I do, and even if I don’t think their listening they are listening. If they see me finishing school and working a good job that’s what they will expect to do themselves because that is all that they know. Children are like sponges. I want to show my kids how to be a good person by being a good person myself. As a parent I want my children to know that they can be anything they want to be, but at the same time I am controlling their physical and moral environment so that they can be good people. I want them to be in an environment where they can develop habits of honesty, generosity, and responsibility.
My interest in public interest law, nonprofit advocacy, and social justice began at a very young age. My passion was influenced by my upbringing, as well as my journey down a path different from what my family and culture envisioned. It is this same divergent path that has led me to me to pursue the legal profession today.
The verse that describes this well would be 1 Timothy 5:4 which states “But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.” The point in this would be that the Christian community is to care and teach through action, to show the children to care for their family because it is pleasing to God. Next would be how to incorporate the church into children’s ministry really this would be letting the children gather tithe this would involve them in the community more. Then one could even have the children lead worship one day even if they are just children’s songs, or could even get them involved in the story by them acting it out or even reading it to the congregation. These could also be used in multigenerational churches and could help the children learn that even they can make a difference in the
This literature review will define the overarching importance of parental value systems that utilize long-term academic discussions and encouragement for increased student performance in the domestic environment. The value system of parental involvement in student education is a primary feature of American education, which has been clinically evaluated in studies on academic success in the domestic environment. For example. the argument brought forth by Boxer et al (2009) defines the immediate effects of parental involvement as a value system that encourages academic discussions in the home to encourage the child’s interest in learning and success as a student. In line with longitudinal studies spanning a shorter time frame,
