• Purpose of meeting and a detailed description of items/concepts discussed. o The purpose of the meeting was to share information to the parent(s) of JoJo about the child’s developmental progress, especially with what Jojo has accomplished throughout the whole year and his transition to the next level. Also, what kinds of goals she wanted her child to meet in his learning and development such as the goals of having good manner and succeed to learn English and Chinese at the same time. I’ve learned about the child that he has developed his language and communication skills and explore the environment quickly. I’ve learned about how the teachers/center can best help this child and parents by providing the parent information on child care centers that are provided during the summer and what community resources are

o If I had been the parent, I would not change anything. I feel the parent did a good job interacting with the teacher and giving the teacher a thank you gift.

What challenges do you face? o I would rate my ability to perform a parent conference alone at this point in my career on a scale of 1-3 is a 1 because I am not very confident speaking to the parents and I do not have the much knowledge how a parent conference works. The strengths that I possess are providing the parent a blinder of observation notes as evidences for the parent(s) to see what their child has accomplished or improve and staying focus. The challenges that I might face are the questions that parents are asking and speaking to the parents.
