Recommended: Describe a beautiful beach
I have had many first experiences in my life, but the most memorable was when I went parasailing(compound). I do not like heights at all, so parasailing was a definite concern for me. I wanted to avoid it at all costs, but, unfortunately, my sister wanted to, so that means the whole family had to.
My mom works for American Family Insurance and every year we go on a company trip. This year we went to Miami, Florida, and it was beautiful(compound). This was my first vacation on a beach. Even our hotel room had a view of the ocean. Though we did not spend much time in the hotel, it was very fancy, and we enjoyed looking at the architecture(compound-complex). We didn't do anything at the hotel other than sleep.
My sister had seen people parasailing
on the ocean and she really wanted to go. I was firmly against it because I don't like heights. Since she wanted to go, of course the whole family had to go as well. We walked to a super shady truck on the beach that said parasailing on the side, paid our money, and then they led us to a little boat with a motor on it. I figured this boat was awfully small for parasailing and because there was no sail. They drove us further away from the shore and onto another boat. The actual parasail boat was about the size of a bass boat. It had a big ratchet bolted to the floor and some rope tied to it. The rope was also hooked onto a big sail with seats on it. My mom and I went parasailing together because you have to go in groups of two. We put some zip line style harnesses on and then sat in the seat on the sail. We were ready to fly. As we sat on the deck of the boat, he asked if we were ready, and without waiting for a response, the boat launched forward, the parasail picked up wind and jerked us into the air(compound-complex). For the first minute I was absolutely terrified, but after I realized I wasn't going to die, it was actually pretty fun. Just about the time I was getting comfortable the sail started to drop. I vaguely heard him yell at us to dip our feet in. We skimmed our feet across the water and as the sail picked up more wind, we were airborne again. and my mom got scared(compound-complex). As soon as we got in the air again I noticed why she was scared. A baby shark was swimming right by where we just dipped our feet in. There were lots of other cool things I noticed in the water like schools of fish and sea turtles. In the end, even though I did not want to go parasailing I was glad I did. I had begun to conquer my fear of heights. It gave me many memories to remember and I was able to say I had done something that most people had not. At this point it was decided that I would definitely go parasailing again, and I would enjoy it just as much as I did the first time(compound).
When I was about 10 years old, my mom took me to a roller coaster theme park in Massachusetts. I was terribly afraid of the huge roller coaster that appeared in front of me, and while I waited in line, the anxiety of waiting to die in a roller coaster made my heart beat through my chest. The huge coaster went up and down and up and down, and even though my mom continuously asked me if I was sure that I wanted to go, I repeatedly said yes. I wanted to make it clear that I was a man, not a crying baby. Stepping onto that roller coaster was what I remember the most.
On our 10-day 'vacay' we decided to stop for a several night stay-over at a quaint town which is halfway along the Florida Keys. It's called Marathon, and I
I lost my shoes that night to cause they fell off in the lake so my mom had to make me some it was pretty funny. I wouldn't say it was the best experience, but it sure wasn't the worst. Now for the funny part, Some of my worst experiences. i was about eleven so not that long ago we were down in the racetrack area we had found and we hadn't been there for a while and noticed there was a hill of rocks about four feet high so we decided to ride up them because it was flat on the top. I was scared like normal, so my grandpa said “ why don't you go ahead and do the throttle?” I was okay with that so I got ready my grandpa was behind me ready to steer and right when I pushed the throttle I pushed just a little too much and we tipped the four wheeler on top of us, we were crushed between the rocks and the four wheeler for about ten minutes and now when I run I think that's why my knee messes up all the time cause I got a rock stuck in it. Another experience is I was riding my sister around I was ten, she was five I had her up front so she would be safe and we pulled into the driveway because i needed a drink. We stopped and my mom got us a drink, I was turned around talking to my grandpa on the four wheeler no one was paying attention to my sister and while we were talking she pressed the throttle and we crashed into the
When we arrived in Texas, we had to drive all the way to Austin in order for us to get to my grandfathers hotel. When we got there and I saw the hotel, I thought to myself that it was the most beautiful hotel in the world. It had color stained windows and when the sun shined through them, you could see a rainbow. The hotel looked like a catholic church with all of the breathtaking colors. My grandfather said that he loved living there because it made him feel rich.
There is no all-embracing definition of what is known as intense kayaking. This is because every definition will be on the experiences experienced by every kayaker. However, a closer look at intense kayaking will reveal that intense kayaking is generally considered by those kayakers who find a lot of fun kayaking is bustling waters. Keep in mind that intense kayaking will also warrant the need of very special kayaking skills.
Let us not forget the ocean. There is nothing more spectacular then watching 12 to 20 foot waves crashing against the coral reefs. It is really something. I myself will never forget the first time I went surfing. At first, I got it down pretty well. I had very good balance and excellent control. I began to swim out farther then I should have. I see this wave come in that just blows me away. I try to paddle in to avoid it but it was too late.
This was a time about seven years ago, I was six or seven years old and I had a huge fear of roller coasters. They always seemed too high and unsafe from my point of veiw. So when we went to the yeti themed roller coaster, "Mount Everest" in themiddle of the night at Disney World, I was shaking in my boots!
I was at Bay Beach Amusement Park with my family a few summers ago. I was having a awesome time until my brother, Brandon suggested to go on The Zippin Pippin, a wooden roller coaster at Bay Beach. I am terrified of roller coasters, and heights, so this wasn’t my kind of ride. But, some how my brother got me to go on with him and my brother in law. All I knew was that I was going to screaming for my life.
Learning something new can be a terrifying experience for many. One of the scariest things I have done was go parasailing on our trip to Destin, Florida. I was always afraid of heights since little, but my mom and her husband was determined to cross this task off of their bucket list. What I didn't realize was that going up would also make me more open to exploring new things.
I remember a time in my life not too long ago when my family and I went white water rafting for the first time. We had been spending some of our summer vacation at a cabin in the Smokey Mountains, close to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The next day we would experience feelings of exhilarating excitement, with a sense of suspense and anticipation as we rafted down the Nantahala River.
A: I have two instances that come to mind. One was the first time I saw a sea snake. It was an incredible experience that really changed how I saw snakes. It’s so different to see how they move in the water than on land so it was really cool to see. The other time was when I was bitten by my first snake. It was not poisonous but it still hurt a lot. I does not sound like it should be an exciting moment but after I was bitten was the first time I really felt like a herpetologist.
Well, that time arrived when Dad was taking me, and nothing was going to hold me back. I watched Dad approach me as he returned from a blue and white hire tent with a long (well what seemed long at the time), bright yellow foam board. It had a small white fin sticking out its rear. We stayed shallow and like any impatient 5 year old I began to suffer from frustration as I continuously nose dived into the sand at my efforts to stand up.
My personal experience is the time I went on a plane ride for my very first time. It was crazy trying to get to the check points because of all the people that were trying to get to their destination and me going through the TSA checkpoints. Then waiting for the plane to arrive was very annoying and time consuming. Finally the plane ride across the country and arriving in Mexico. In the end it was very exciting and a little scary my very first time going on a plane ride.
When I was twelve years old my family decided to try snowboarding and skiing for the first time. So with some arrangement made and the car packed, we were ready to go. After several hours of driving we found ourselves surrounded by bright white snow. We were almost to our destination of Seven Springs Pennsylvania. As we approached the mountains of snow we were all excited, but there is more to snowboarding/skiing then meets the eye.
