SOLUTIONS FOR OVERPOPULATION

CONTRACEPTIVES AND FAMILY PLANNING
The importance of family planning for the health and wellbeing of humans and earth cannot be overemphasized and should not be taken lightly in the light of the problem of overpopulation which we are facing. Governments should do more to promote their family planning programs in all parts of their countries. Furthermore they must ensure that contraceptives are easily and readily accessible to all citizens of child bearing age.
The use of various contraception methods (birth control patch, birth control shot etc.) can be used in this endeavor of reducing population growth by preventing unwanted pregnancies, thus decreasing the fertility rate (Health Federation Of America, 2014).
The graph below shows the big difference that can be made by this intervention.

TWO CHILDREN PER PERSON POLICY
Considering the fact that all population control techniques that have been used up to this point have failed in achieving the sought after goal, perhaps it is time to concede that conservative methods aren’t the most effective. Accepting that the situation has reached a critical state, we introduce the two children per person policy.
This policy depicts that a limit will be placed on the number of children a person can have as a form of population control, so that a sustainable rate of population growth can be achieved. For such a plan to be carried off, the construction of cooperate firms from the ground will be needed. On top of the extensive expenses, this is will also raise the pollution in that area, to a certain degree.
• The depression of wages may occur whilst still trying to balance out this new economy, although, this may be temporary.
• There may be integration difficulties if the new people coming in struggle to gel in with the locals.
• Ease of movement may facilitate organized crime and people trafficking.
CONTRACEPTIVES
• Contraception methods like the pill, condom and hormone injections are not 100% efficient.
• The pill and injection may also produce side effects like weight gain, pimple outburst and muscle strain on she that uses them. (Lynn, 2014)
