Every person is faced with obstacles in their life that change a persons life completly. It is dependent on how a person takes a situation that defines the outcome. At the current moment a person may see no positivity coming out of the situation but as time progresses a person realises that despite the pain their is a blessing along with it even if it may be unclear. An obstacle that usually takes a person by surprise is usually death. It is never expected and a person does't really wish to experience it or is prepared for it. Being a young person I never though of losing anyone so close to me and inclusively not another person that was around my same age. However, God has plans for each person and I believe that everything he does is for a reason. The event is still very clear in my mind happening on August 3, 2013. I had talked to Rogelio the night before making plans to attend a party that we had been invited to. He said he would attend and meet me there. I arrived at the party and still remember the red dress I wore with a red bracelet and my hair in a bun waiting for him to text at any moment that he would be getting ready and on his way. I did get a message but not exatly from him , followed by that was a call from my bestfriend. I can still remeber her word telling me that Rasheed and Rogelio had drowned and couldn't be found. My whole being wanted to yell at her …show more content…
From that day on I have had other major obstacles but I find myself praying for strenth instead of asking why. I have a closer relationship with God and belive that even if I experience anything like this again my faith will be held very strong. I am a stronger person today not because I overcame this event but because my faith increased and it is a major part of me. I learned to trust God no matter what he does because he never gives a person something that they can't
Life can always change direction. We can have certain obstacles that challenge us. Sometimes this makes us stronger and we can always learn through these times. We always have
Everyone has difficult obstacles in their lives. I have had a few myself and they each have changed me for the better. My most profound experience was being repeatedly molested as a child. I wasn't aware of exactly what was happening to me. I didn't know being touched was wrong. I just knew how disgusting it made me feel, but I didn't tell anyone at the time. I shared this publicly as an adult to help other parents realize that children need to be protected. It was a long journey to reach to the point where I could speak about my experiences with anyone. These experiences from my childhood affected me deeply; however, I have overcome them, learned from them and I have contributed at a higher level because of them.
Adversity enhances ones’ positive characteristics due to the provision of an ideal environment for establishing integrity and developing a mature mindset. This conclusion is valid because people tend to learn from their mistakes, thus gain a broader perspective on life.
Describe a time when you experienced a significant period of suffering. How did you deal with that experience? How did you find comfort in the midst of suffering?
In life, people will always have something to say about you in everything one does in life, either negative or positive, but it’s the moment when you let what is said upon you affect the way you live your life, that when its becomes a problem. I for myself have been victim of so many people saying things about me and letting get into my head, but I had the courage to overcome a lot of obstacles like that. I have struggled with a lot of obstacles in my life some got the better of me while I have been able to overcome most of them. I am writing this essay to give an example of an obstacle which I struggled with for a very long time and I nearly took the best of me, but with time I was able to overcome it.
Throughout the entirety of my life I always have and always will face obstacles: I am a girl, I am African-American, I have a disabled brother, I have a single parent. Though these aspects of my life have created challenges, I am proud of who I am and I love my life. These challenges have molded my character and shaped me to be the person I am today and without these obstacles, I might not have been as driven to succeed, despite what has happened in my life that may have caused me to
In life we all face obstacles. The troubles that we face don’t define us, how we overcome the situation is what makes us the people we are today. Throughout my life I have faced many trials and tribulations that I had to overcome with the help of my mother, ofcourse. I was smooth sailing in life until I started high school.
Overcoming Obstacles Throughout a persons life, they are faced with different obstacles, and different challenges of all different types. My life in particular has been full of ups and downs, especially towards my soccer career. In the novel The Pact, three boys, George, Rameck, and Sam, are faced with many obstacles throughout their lives, where they must learn to overcome and achieve great success on their own will power. Essentially, I did the same thing. My soccer career has been one of my most difficult life challenges, creating the person I am today.
Have you ever wondered if there could possibly be overwhelming obstacles in the way of someone being truly successful in life? Some may witness friends or loved ones not developing to their fullest potential in their profession because of these unobtainable obstacles holding them back. In “Professions for Women,” by Virginia Woolf, Woolf gives a speech to a group of women explaining why they must overcome certain things in order to be successful in their future professional careers. In speaking to this group of determined young women, Woolf explains how horrendous it may be to have your own thoughts or beliefs while living in a society said to be dominated by males. She
Overcoming adversity is imperative. In fact, you can 't have the happiness and success you want unless you have adversity in your life and overcome it. It is essential for progressing into who you want to be. It shows you what you are made of. It teaches you more about yourself, how to approach what you want, and how to maintain the success that you have. Without it, you wouldn 't know how far you could go or how capable you are because you wouldn 't have anything to push you or compare to.
A lot of us face adversity in our lives, unfortunately we just can not avoid it no matter how much we dislike it. Their is Adversity in our lives everywhere, even in the bible. With God, anyone can deal with anything. He gives us challenges for a reason. When people take on these challenges, they become stronger and are able to deal with more of life's challenges that will come in the coming years. There is a reason for everything.
Because of what I learned from hitting this “hurdle” in life, I have decided to make the most out of the life I have been given. Overcoming the adversity of losing a loved one has not only challenged me, but has given me a perspective and wisdom that most people are only able to learn through challenges like this one. Life is unpredictable. Like hurdles, life evokes fear, strength, and courage. Life is often like a race, everyone is forced to face their own obstacles, however, like Nelson Mandela once said, “Our greatest glory lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” Throughout life, everyone is bound to face their own set of hurdles, however, the important part is learning to get up, keep moving, and apply what was learned from the experience to overcoming the next
If we let our personal challenges destroy us, then we are nothing and have nothing to offer the world. It is important that we take control of our situation and use the personal hardship as an opportunity to better ourselves. It takes a keen eye and careful self-evaluation to remove any inclusions that will mar the beautiful diamond we possess in all of us. Each one of us is shaped into a distinctive cut of stone, giving way to different grades of clarity and color, making us rare, valuable, and uniquely our own. Frederick Douglass and Barbara Ehrenreich are two individuals who lived in different time periods; however, both individuals used their personal struggles to inspire change in the hearts of others. Just as I use my struggle as a tool to chip away the imperfections in my life, Frederick and Barbara used their experiences to chip away the fallacies of our nation. Personal challenges encourage me to grow as an individual and make better choices for a brighter future.
From those unexpected moments, one thing I knew was that unexpected moments in life could raise me or beat me down. The main thing is to be prepared to face any kind of unexpected moments and not to give up and embrace the life we have without blaming others for the predicaments we face in our lives. It is natural to have unexpected moments in one 's life. So, why not keep on
