Overcoming Obstacles Analysis

As we go through life many obstacles may occur. However, the most important part is overcoming the obstacle. For example, some business owners may have issues with funding for their start up. There are several ways this can be handled. Since everyone is different, then everyone will handle situations differently.

Obstacles are designed to block or slow down our progress from reaching our destination. As I am reflecting back on obstacles being in front of me, I realize I had to make a choice to either go over, around or through them. "Having a vision gives a sense of purpose and direction to one's life. Without a life vision, activities and actions have a reduced value and therefore affect the effort and determination that will be applied to overcoming the obstacles that get in the way of achieving the goals associated with the vision (Harrington, 2012, p.2). One way to reach the goal of acquiring funding for a business, that may have been denied for a business loan with the

bank, is seeking sponsorship or investors. There are several other companies and people willing to fund other organizations. Fundraising events are another great way to bring in funds. However, the business can always use what they have to get their business off the ground.

When you can see where you are going, it is always easier to get there. If you stay focused on the ultimate goal, when one way fails then you try another way. Vision is the driving force to get you to your destination. The roadblocks are going to present themselves, therefore, make preparations to detour.

The general resources provides an online glossary for Accounting and Smarthinking handbooks. The digital content portion provides podcasts, interactive tutorial and videos in a variety of subjects. The last service is the support center, which includes technical support for any issues you may have with the site. The knowledge base is for self help and how-to's. And the student resources section is designed to assist the students with the proper use of smarthinking. I think I would benefit from using all these services to be successful in my subjects in the

future.
