I first would like to thank you for finding the time to read my letter, thank you for allowing me to still communicate with you though we are miles apart. I am writing you today in regards to a court case which took place about six years ago when i was a minor, i recently was alerted to the presence of an active warrant in my name and although i am not physically present i had been hoping that you would allow me to make matters right. The case number is as followed: 11-1335CT OM, during sentencing i was ordered to pay a hefty fine as well as attend a retail fraud class. At that time i not only made a promise to my father but also to myself that i would never again find myself standing before a judge, that i would work hard until i have raised …show more content…
My mind has been so set on staying out of trouble that i never took a second to fully understand the severity of my sentencing and allowed it to get to the point where a warrant has my name on it and i must again apologize. I have however completed my class and although I was there because of a stupid mistake i enjoyed that younger children could listen to me speak about how much i accomplished since owning up to my mistake and learning from the outcome. I enjoyed speaking with their parents and the wise words i found myself giving to kids who reminded me so much of my younger siblings, who i would never want standing before your court. I am writing with the hope that you will not only accept my certificate stating that my class has been completed but also allow me to pay off the rest of my fees.i took away from this incident the idea that if i stayed away from the wrong people and kept out of trouble, i would never have to worry about being in a courtroom again. However i understand that you can never have a bright future if the past is never fully put at rest, i understand that my own actions are the reason that a warrant was placed in my name and i am still embarrassed of my
My name is Kaha Salad and I am appealing my Satisfactory Academic Progress suspension. Autumn semester of 2013 was a difficult time for me, I was going through many different changes in my life and I just didn’t know how to adapt. I experienced a personal event in the summer of 2013 that made my life change forever. My Grandmother Khadija died, she was the light of my family’s lives. My mother was immensely affected by her death, she went into a state of depression and she then stopped working. I took it upon myself to help out my grieving mother and get a job to help pay with the bills that was piling up. I began working
On Thursday, August 3,2017 at about 0900 hours, I was present at Kings County Criminal Court, Part AP1F for SPAA Tammie Croswell's scheduled court appearance. SPAA Croswell pled guilty to a violation (P.L 240.20). She was ordered to make restitution in the amount of $4,200.00 plus a surcharge of 5% ($210.00). A payment of $1,500.00 was ordered to be made today (08/03/17) and she has until 03/05/18 to pay the remaining balance. The next court date has been scheduled for 03/05/18 by Honorable Judge M. Dougherty in order to verify that all fees were paid in
Thank you for the opportunity to interview for the position of Student Advisor this afternoon, Friday, March 1, 2001. It strengthened my interest in the position and reinforced my confidence in my ability to excel should I be selected for the position.
I received the letter from my Victim Advocate, Ms. Shanna Biles with her answers to the questions I'd submitted to her in a letter. I appreciated the thoroughness of the answers she provided, which improved my understanding of the court's process and the possible outcomes. However, in her letter she stated the Misdemeanor Court would try this case.
Your Honor ordered Mr. Newsome to successfully complete Crest Aftercare, pay court cost and fines and obtain/ maintain employment.
I am elated to celebrate Texas Independence Day by preparing my response to your call for the Project Director who will help make your beautiful dream a tangible reality, here in the heart of Texas. After spending the last year patiently watching for a visionary project to appear that matches my own discerning criteria, I believe it has finally appeared in the form of the Pecan Street Project.
I am writing this email to appeal me being put on academic probation. I believe that there was a factor of my education that the academic board has missed, and I wish to clarify what exactly it was.
Being nominated for the National Honor Society is an honor and a privilege. Throughout my high school career at The Good Hope Country Day School, I have strove to achieve the best potential grades. Aside from academics, I also strive for success in athletics. I have been a member of my swim team for nine years. Presently, I am a co-captain of the team. From being a captain, I have learned the essential qualities needed for Leadership. I have learned how to create unity and build strength within a group, and how to cope with issues in a group. These skills can be used anywhere whether it be on the team, at school, or in the community. As a member of the Interact Club and Student Council I am very involved in the community service events and fundraisers, as well as events at school. Apart from school I lifeguard and teach swim lessons for community service. I am an extremely dedicated person. I follow a rigorous daily routine starting with practice, them school, then another practice and then home for homework. School, sports, and family have always been my top priorities. I believe that my leadership, positive attitude and determination for success will make me a great attribute to the National Honor Society. It would be an honor to be inducted into the National Honor Society.
Most people go to their jobs everyday and never gain anything except a paycheck from it, which is not what I want to do. I want to be able to have a sense of accomplishment, or a rewarding feeling at the end of each week. This is why I’ve chosen to work towards becoming a probation officer, a probation officer is actually required to transform people's lives. Being a junior in highschool, there is a lot of stress and pressure being put on what I want to do after high school. In the past few weeks I have researched the job of becoming and being a probation officer significantly. This research has lead me to this decision because of the many things that I could gain from this career path. Not only has it made me aware of the job itself but also
To all future Parole Officers this is to inform you how we must use the parole process to make our job
I am writing today to appeal my academic probation status so that I may continue receiving the Pell Grant for my studies. I have had an obvious stumble in my beginnings with FAU but I am certain that with steps I've taken this summer I will be back on track to a good academic standing while completing my bachelor's degree. After withdrawing from two classes this past spring I dropped below the 67% required completion rate. Despite this, I persisted and paid for a summer class myself. I also withdrew from this second-attempt class.
One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd." I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. They really should get a life." He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!" There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to play football on Saturday with me and my friends. He said yes. We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him. And my friends thought the same of him.
It is because of my ambition that I decided to pursue a post-secondary education. My family has had many obstacles to overcome due to their troubling backgrounds. My father is from Iraq, a war-torn country, and my mother is an aboriginal who experienced the tortures of residential schools. Both my parents went through many unjust events throughout their lives, and that is one of the many reasons I decided to study the field of law, to bring justice to those who are in need of it. Please also answer the following questions in your letter, they are for Indspire research purposes.
The first year of law school was very difficult for me financially as my fathers business had previously gone into bankruptcy leaving me with very limited family support. I had to finance my entire first year with student loans. Although I had done quite well academically my first year, thanks to Jerome’s continued support, I made a difficult life decision to drop out after my first year due to my financial difficulties. The same day I met with the Dean to discuss my decision, I later ran into Jerome near the student lounge. He knew something was not right and asked me if I wanted to talk. We then had another one of those personal conversations where I so much appreciated his counsel and insight.
To begin something new, you must sacrifice something old. To enter the real world, you must graduate your childhood.
