In Origins of the Universe, was a Core Friday presented by Wil Van Breugel which was titled “What is Life, and Where is it?” (lecture about life and the universe). Through this lecture, Van Breguel’s presentation explained how many philosophers have fought to state their ideas on how the universe began. We all seem to view the universe in many different ways although we all live under the same cosmos/ universe. Lastly, panspermia is a more scientific believe that first molecules could have come from space and life’s chemical elements are abundant. The theories that were informed of are to understand that the universe creates knowledge that attempts to indicate where all humankind started from. One reading presented during this module “Our Picture of the Universe,” by Stephen Hawking shows how the frame of the universe and theories of our planetary system has come into place. Identifying that early people believed that earth was a flat surface until now that we came to an agreement that earth is round shows how our mentality and knowledge has revolutionized.
