Who hasn't wanted to be famous? Maybe you wanted to be an athlete, a politician, or an actor. Perhaps you'd rather be in the stands watching that athlete. If any of this sounds like you, then you might just be an orange. When I say orange, I'm talking about the orange personality type. Oranges are people who love to entertain, like an actor, or who are crazy about sports, like an athlete or fan. One trait about oranges that I don't agree with is the character trait of expressing impatience. The True Colors activity describes me as an orange and I can agree with the fact that we love sports and are natural entertainers. I don't, however, agree that we all express impatience. Oranges are people who enjoy entertaining. Once when I was 12, I went to Six Flags with my cousins. After a long day of walking around in the heat, we ran into a worker that my cousins knew. She discussed how she was going to be in a old western show and how she needed to pull someone from the audience. I immediately volunteered. She agreed and we all made our way to the show. When we got there we took our seats at the back and the show started. I knew my part was coming up when I spotted the worker …show more content…
I, however disagree. Last summer, my family and I went on vacation to North Carolina. Because of my dad's fear of flying, we chose to drive the distance. After doing my research I determined it was going to be a 12-hour-drive. Long, but bearable. We left in the morning and I was anxious to get there. As the hours ticked by my patience grew short, but not once did I complain. Not even after the fourteenth hour arrived. We still weren't there and I was very tired of being crammed in the car. Finally, after 15 hours, we arrived at our destination. By then I had lost all patience, but I didn't complain to my parents once. It's instances like that, that go to show not all oranges are the type to express

Many ‘orange’ people use the left side of there brain first in a situation, and don’t make a decision until they have asked themselves how they feel about it. My color demands that I need harmony and security in my life to be happy. Furthermore, an orange person will thrive off of relationships and they are often found being a caregiver to others, no matter the amount of time they have known that person. About eighteen percent of the population has an ‘orange’ personality. Overall, many of this group is found in the health field, education, and social
In short, oranges represent what their young love feeds off of which are warmth, love and understanding. Soto used imagery and symbolism to make the poem powerful, but what really made it powerful is his use of elements, characters, and the plot. There is a lot of reference to brightness, breathing, and light. Brightness and the light give the poem and the oranges more power, while the heavy breathing makes it seem more realistic because the twelve year old boy is nervous since he is out with his first girlfriend. The poem is very vivid as well as colorful.

The title itself shows this theme. A writer in the story writes a book called Clockwork Orange and explains to Alex that all humans are like oranges, full of juice and vibrancy and the ability to live in fulfillment; yet some people become like machines. Clockwork, being something that happens over and over.
As a child, Stephen Curry was raised like any other child, except he grew up playing multiple sports. “In an age of hyper-specialization, Curry has reached the pinnacle of his sport by doing the exact opposite. He played basketball, but he also played some baseball, football, soccer and basically everything else in a sports buffet” (Cohen). Now, Curry is known as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Is this because of his vast background of many sports? In today’s world, children should be introduced to a variety of different sports in order to promote discipline and hard work, prevent injury, and fulfill their college desires.
“To fully grasp the human condition, Burgess implies in A Clockwork Orange, individuals must both recognize and accept their evil nature and recognize how society attempts to stifle it." (Clockwork). The way a person handles themselves and their environment is how their personality and identity is formed, but sometimes outside forces attempt to alter those as they believe it’ll benefit themselves or society better. "Alex's frequent address to his readers, "Oh, my brothers," implies the readers' collusion in Alex's violent projects" (Lowe-Evans), meaning that the reader should also be able to identify with the evil aspect of Alex’s personality. The level of violence shown in A Clockwork Orange may not be relatable universally but it is something the human form is capable of, and there are examples
My natural highs are sports, music, and spending time with my family. I play soccer and run cross country and track, and these sports help push me to work harder, mentally and physically. All sports are difficult and very competitive, but when you practice and train with determination it will prepare you for your games or races. Sports also surrounds you with many supportive people. You will have coaches that will teach you ways on how to become a better athlete and teammates that will urge you with encouragement. My cross country coach told me that long distance running requires a lot of mental toughness, and when your body is giving up, your brain needs to remind yourself that you need to finish your race. This taught me to never finish half-way
The term "clockwork orange" is referenced various times throughout Anthony Burgess’ novel A Clockwork Orange; however, the phrase "a clockwork orange" is only mentioned in the novel when it is associated with government. From the very first page it is established that the main character, Alex, is a rebellious 15 year old whose interests include violence and classical music. However, his criminal tendencies do not sit well with the government. While being incarcerated, he is subject to torturous experimental conditioning by the government in an attempt to rid him of his violent impulses and ultimately his free will. When being presented in front of an audience as evidence of the Ludovico
The prevalence of illegal substance use in baseball is high even though one cannot ascertain with precision the number of players engaging in steroid use. The reason for such high numbers is contributed by players who do not admit use or informing on the behavior of their fellow players. Moreover, the Major League Baseball, MLB despite doing tests does not release definitive numbers although some individuals have detailed players using steroids and other PEDs (Solberg & Ringer, 2011). The MLB presents flawed test results while the porous testing programs show differing results.

We got to the convention center and warmed up. I warmed up all of my tricks, and was ready to go. We went backstage, and my sister was so nervous, so I had to calm her
Like Maj Mehrtens was for me, I want to be that measuring stick for my airmen, someone they’d compare past and future supervisors to. I want to also be an NCO that knows and connects with my airmen, not just someone that writes their EPR. I want to be involved in the process of growing people into better versions of themselves. The best way I could do that would be relying on my strengths. According to Four Lenses, I’m a healthy mix of all four with orange being dominant. I feel like the mix of personality traits make me relatable to a lot of different types of people. I have a strong sense of empathy and can see the world through the eyes of others. With orange being the dominant color, my love for people helps that even
