When people hear the “first lady”, they automatically assume the wife of the president of the united states. However, they are numerous first ladies in and around our country, like the first lady of talk shows, Orpah Gail Winfrey. Born January 29, 1954 and raised in Kosciusko, Mississippi, 63-year-old African-American, Mrs. Winfrey is one of the most influential people around the world (Oprah Winfrey,2016). Her primary occupation and what started her long, successful career is being host of The Oprah Winfrey Show from 1986 until 2010. She is cultured, imaginative, and creative. Also, high on conscientiousness, showing high levels of discipline and work ethics to control a multibillion dollar industry. Neuroticism is low because she has a successful career and does not have many unstable qualities. The stage of trust vs. mistrust and initiate vs. guilt doubt, applied to her as a young girl. Being left with her grandmother as an infant made her lose faith and trust in her parents.
