His first personal trait I have is that Chris wants to be a good father:
At all times Chris wants to be there for his son. Even when it was hard for the family, Chris wanted to be there and care for his son. When they were basically homeless Chris still wanted to be there, he even pretended the bone density scanner was a time machine just to entertain his son during that tough moment in their lives. When they were homeless, Chris made sure to be there to get a place at the shelter so his son would be comfortable still and not out on the streets. I can sort of relate him being a good father to “Only Daughter.” The reason is because in the story the daughter wanted her father to notice her and to be a good father to her and that is probably what Chris’s son felt like in The Pursuit of Happyness.

Even though they were not selling them as much as they planned, Chris still continued to attempt to sell them so he could hopefully provide for his family. After he had noticed the guy with the nice car and found out what he did, Chris attempted to get a job. The main reason he was trying to get this job is so his family could be taken care of. I can relate this personality trait to “Paradox and Dream”. In this article I had agreed with a statement saying that we are alert and curious. In the movie, Chris was curious to see what the guy did. In turn it made him alert that if he got that job he could provide for his
