What is the American Dream? Perhaps someone who achieves true happiness and wealth through hard work and integrity. The American Dream is an amazing achievement but their are some difficult obstacles, preventing the average person from proceeding in their American Dream. Gatsby ran into some little problems as well throughout the book like Wilson. Wilson was responsible for killing Gatsby which ended his American Dream of marrying Daisy. Wilson wanted revenge though for Daisy killing Myrtle which is Wilson’s wife but Gatsby took responsibility for killing Myrtle. Gatsby would never give up his love for Daisy.
