A daily workout would cut down on the number of obese Americans, fight diseases, and to ensure a longer and happier life. People should exercise daily to fight obesity. Obesity is the result of fat accumulated over time due to the lack of a balanced diet and exercise. An adult with a BMI (body mass index) higher than thirty percent is considered obese (Whitney & Rolfes, 2011, pg. 271).

People with higher incomes are less likely to be obese than people with lower incomes. One in every seven preschool-aged children living in lower income areas are obese (Center for Disease Control and Prevention). A 2008 study showed that obesity is highest among American Indian and Alaska Native (21.2 percent) and Hispanic Americans (18.5 percent) children, and it is lowest among white (12.6 percent), Asian or Pacific Islander (12.3 percent), and black (11.8 percent) children (Get America Fit).

With society’s ever increasing price tag of education, public schools have gone to great lengths to cut costs from the unessential activities during and after school hours. First it was music programs and art classes; however, with the desperate need for teachers, athletic programs have felt the grunt of this expedition. Now, more than ever, youths in our communities are battling serious problems. Not only are sports and organized athletic programs vital to physical development, but also mental growth and offer children structure and goals. Unfortunately, many schools have to cut back or even eliminate sports/athletic programs due to lack of funding.

Research by the world Health Organization show that in 2014, over 1.9 billion adults, 18 years and older, were overweight; constant reports show that adults in their late 30s and adolescent have a better heath profile than young adults. of those over 600 million were obese; several of those health issues are preventable as several of them stem from poor health choices.
Many children in todays society could careless about the unhealthy things their putting into their bodies, but studies show that the more unhealthy things they eat and parents provide the more their at risk for diseases some can even be deadly.
Obesity in America is a growing issue that plagues many people and families. it is seen as an uncontrollable ailment that many people in the world face. Obesity is treated as a disease rather than a consequence of one's actions and lifestyle choices. This undoubtedly wrong and a failure on anyone who supports them. There is no such thing as fat shaming, it is simply people who want to live gluttonous lifestyles and not face social consequences, then being faced with unexpected conviction for being emotionally and mentally weak.

It has been shown that physical inactivity reduces our strength, results in low energy levels, and causes obesity. It is therefore very essential to ensure we that lead a physically active life.
