The medical field has always been something that has caught my attention. Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to do something in the medical field, anything really but mainly something that I knew would help change the world a person at a time. Nurses generally do things like physical exams and keep records of patient information. Nurses do many of the things that doctors themselves don’t even do. Being a nurse I can picture myself bandaging wounds and taking care of my patients.
Nurses are very efficient and organized people as well as intelligent. They supervise other nurses in their field and they hold knowledge not on the human nobody but also on medications and pharmaceuticals. Most nurses are employed in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, walk in clinics, schools, prisons and other places where medical assistance is required. I am very interested in this career because I enjoy helping people and I feel like nurses are some of the most genuine people and I would love to be a part of that. A quality I have that I think would make for a good nurse is that I am very compassionate and I have patience for many things.
Registered Nurses are the most well known of all the different types of nursing professionals. There are a series of different fields nurses can choose to specialize in. They can choose to specialize in areas like assisting in the operating room, working with children, working with people who are excessively sick or intensive care, working with old people or working with people who are psychologically ill.
I consider my GPA to be average. It is an 86.4 at the moment and it was enough to get me into all of the colleges I wanted to go to. I have always been a good student and I think that I start off all...

...me because this is truly the path I would like to take. The thing that I love the most about nursing is that as a nurse you have the ability to choose what you would like to specialize in and what kind of people you would like to work with. My only concern is that because nurses are so hands-on with their patients, they need to have all the knowledge of a doctor as well because they need to know how the body works and how it reacts to certain things. Before I graduate from landmark I would like to volunteer that way I will get a sense of what it is like to be a nurse from now, and also because once the month of June is over, EOP programs begin and colleges like Sage require summer programs. I can’t wait to begin my journey into the career I dreamed of and although I will be closing a chapter in high school, I will soon be opening a new one for the rest of my life.
When I am older I would love to be a Nurse Practitioner, I enjoy helping people when they are sick and taking care of them. Another reason I want to be a Nurse Practitioner is because my sister is also a Nurse Practitioner.
Licensed practical nurses (LPN 's) fill an important role in modern health care practices. Their primary job duty is to provide routine care, observe patients’ health, assist doctors and registered nurses, and communicate instructions to patients regarding medication, home-based care, and preventative lifestyle changes (Hill). A Licensed Practical Nurse has various of roles that they have to manage on a day to day basis, such as being an advocate for their patients, an educator, being a counselor, a consultant, researcher, collaborator, and even a manager depending on what kind of work exactly that you do and where. It is the nursing process and critical thinking that separate the LPN from the unlicensed assistive personnel. Judgments are based
Nurses are nice, caring, loving people that will try everything they can to help them get a better understanding of their symptoms. I want to be a nurse, specifically a nurse practitioner. I have always been fascinated with the medical field and see a bright future in it for me. I have the opportunity of meeting new people every day with a variety of personalities. There is always something new to discover in this field. A nurse practitioner's job is to be able to diagnose and treat illnesses. They also prescribe medicine and run physical exams. I am highly interested in pursuing the career of a nurse practitioner because the healthcare field is always in need for medical professionals, it pays well, and I am helping people at the same time.

Working as a registered nurse for over six years has given me the opportunity to experience firsthand and understand the huge impact, either negative or positive, that health care providers can have in their patients’ wellbeing.
Nursing is considered the backbone of the healthcare system. This career is an excellent career for me. I like to help people, and work that is somewhat challenging.
Once upon a time, my best friend, Bryan Martinez, often heard his mother’s medical conversations with friends. One day at school, our teacher confronted Mrs. Martinez and told her that she was able tell that Bryan was a son from a nurse. Apparently there was an incident at school where a little boy was acting out and Bryan told our teacher that the little boy was agitated, and to give him some medication to calm him down. As demonstrated by Bryan, nursing is ongoing profession that promotes the health and well-being of individuals.
Nurses are considered the backbone of the hospital due to their hours of hard work and determination to help patients. Being a nurse is a great opportunity for people to show the world what they can do and to put themselves out there to make a difference. A nursing career can help you to become more confident in yourself. There are many types of nurses but we will be focusing on Registered Nurses(RN) because RN’s are the main connection between the doctors and the patients. Registered Nurses have long hours, many daily duties, and even influence the other nurses by guiding them in their career. However, they are rewarded with a good salary, and the thought knowing that they saved lives that day.
Being a junior in High School I am frequently asked the question what career I want to pursue. I have many ambitions and passions but the career field I would most imagine myself being in, is Pediatric Nursing. I love helping, caring and providing for people and children in need of help. Being a Pediatric Nurse is not just caring for patients but is also educating parents about their child’s health. Helping someone and their family everyday would be the highlight of my life! I love making people happy and seeing the smiles and laughs of children.
Registered nurses can work in many different settings and can perform many different procedures. They are required to perform many different jobs for their patients, Registered nurses are required to, “administer medication, consult with other healthcare providers, monitor patients, educate individuals and family and be responsible for managing medical records. They must also stay up-to-date with new tools and technology to help provide the best care to patients and families,” (Heinrich). If I want to become a registered nurse these are some procedures I will need to learn and know to how to do because these are things registered nurses do everyday. In addition to
Becoming a professional nurse certainly does not happen overnight. To be a nurse, one must develop skills, attributes, values and standards that will not only carry over into their daily practice, but also into the relationships that one builds with their patients and coworkers. Today, nurses that poses these qualities help to ensure the best possible physical, emotional, social, and spiritual care that they can give to patients. Not only do they lift the spirits of these patients up, but they also provide an empowering environment for the families as well. Without nurses, the world of healthcare would be a very different place. With all this in mind, I want to become a professional nurse because I will have the
The career i chose is a branch of the medical field. I chose a career in nursing, more specifically the career path of a registered nurse. This career consists of providing care for people of all ages and helping them with managing their conditions. I chose this career because my mother is an rn and my family has a strong presence in the medical field. It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills, or talents needed, salary, benefits offered, and the duties for a particular career when making this decision.
Nursing is a very diverse profession full of diverse people. If you can imagine an area of healthcare, it probably already exists and there are nurses working in it. One of the common threads tying all these specialties together is that they have patients. It could be a research nurse working a clinical trial, a prison nurse caring for inmates, or a dialysis nurse working in a clinic; they all have patients. Providing care to patients is the reason most, if not all, nurses decided to seek higher education and become nurses.

Clinical in health care program, in high school was an eye opening experience and consist of me shadowing the nurses that I was assigned to. I had the opportunity to see what nurses have to deal with and it does take a special person. My experience in the Health care program and working firsthand with the sick and elderly patients has supported and confirm that I have what it takes to become a nurse. I enjoyed the experience of shadowing nurses so much that I volunteered at the Lowman Home, a nursing home in my community during my spare time while I was in high school. I was assigned to work with elderly patient who had Alzheimer; I would read, play games and interact with the patients; I enjoy see the smile that I put on their faces by taking time with
