When I found out I wanted to have a career in nursing I was playing with my mother's stethoscope when I was younger, I wanted to be just like her. From going to her job seeing how she work to watching her as a child study and learning more about nursing motivated me. Seeing how my mom did what she did and how determined and head strong in her work she was motivated me to pursue a career in nursing. I want to be able to be a nurse anesthetist one day so whenever I get the chance to be close to an actual nurse anesthetist in an outpatient I took that chance. During my junior year of highschool I was playing basketball for the Petal lady Panthers. I tore my ACL bruised my LCL and tore my meniscus on November 19 . Well I did and of course it was being a nurse anesthetist. I saw what the nurse anesthetist was doing to me and I took interest and I asked questions and she answered them to where I could understand and told me things like what I needed to do to get where she is at. My mom being there with me every step of the way also encouraged me to have confidence in knowing this is what I wanted to do. Every since then I have been to multiple surgeries in an outpatient, I have asked different questions each time. I also researched what exactly a nurse anesthetist does and what college I need to go to to get into a good program to start me off. I believe the biggest challenge for nursing and health students today would be they do not know what exactly they want to do in their health career. Most students know they want to do something in nursing or medicine but they do not know the one thing that catches their eye and what they take interest in. In Today's students you will see them switching majors because they just don't know, there is no knowledge of all careers you can take on in
