Recommended: Application of physics in real life
Quarter 1 Narrative:
General:
Physics class focussed on understanding and practicing scientific method and developing basic mathematics and other scientific skills required to learn Physics. A number of hands on activities and designed labs helped the learners to understand the subject content as well as to practice scientific method. Students were taught and encouraged to write a formal lab report and science papers. Students’ progress were assessed with help of formative and summative assessments and lab reports. A project work named ‘The innovation with balloon’ helped them to understand application of Physics in real life. .

Omar is a capable learner. He had expressed me how much he loves learning Physics. However, in the rigorous

He had impressed me with writing style especially in his lab reports and other scientific paper. In addition, his performance on quizzes and tests reflects his thorough understanding and mastery of the subject content. It is a pleasure to see how he is enjoying the Physics class. However, avoiding his social activities during class would benefit him in long term.
Yaseen:
Yaseen has a potential to do better in Physics. Occasionally he had shown that he can do much better if he puts little bit more effort in his learning. As a matter of fact, he needs to develop skills like listening and paying attention in class. Following instructions, doing expected task in the class, and avoiding social activities would certainly help him to understand the subject content. On the other hand, I am glad that he came for additional help couple of times, which he could have done more often. Nevertheless, he still has time to bring these changes and uplift his performance.

However, his grade does not reflect his true potential. He demonstrates a need for consistent effort and motivation, especially in paying attention in class and participating actively. Furthermore, he needs follow instructions and complete the assignment on time.He needs to learn to maintain positive and respectful learning environment in the class. He needs to realize that his social activity in the class is not only hindering his learning but also others. I hope he brings some positive changes and perform better in the next quarter.
Laila
Laila is a hard working learner. It is pleasure to have her in Physics class. As a matter of fact, she is participates in hands on activities very enthusiastically and demonstrates high level skills. However, this course is also preparation for higher level of science and other courses. Therefore, she needs to learn to be receptive to different learning styles. She will benefit by developing independent learning
Ms. Kinney showed me the physics in everything from toys to poetry. We discussed Walt Whitman's "When I heard the Learn'd Astronomer" and Robert Frost's "Birches" along with Newton's Laws and Einstein's Theory of Relativity. She had an amazing ability to teach the most complicated concepts in physics without letting us lose sight of the simple wonder of it all. She made physics come alive for me.Ms. Kinney's class was one of the most rigorous and demanding courses that I have faced, but she gave me so much more than she asked of me. She taught me to love learning and physics, and to appreciate the magic and excitement of discovering and mastering new knowledge. Many students got so caught in the difficulty and high expectations of her class that they did not realize the opportunity we were being given. With Ms.
In this essay, I will be exploring different ways on how ‘addition’ can be taught in Year 2 and how they link to the National Curriculum; looking at the best mental approaches that a child should take. I will then progress by exploring a particular calculation in extra detail, evaluating ways to teach how to solve the problem and use ‘manipulatives’ to support it.
When he was asked what advice he would give to someone entering this field, he replied that some days will be trying, and some students may test your patience at times, but the outcomes and rewards are completely worth it. Being a science teacher can be tricky, but he loves the job, the challenges, the rewards, and his
He never struggled in comprehending the material and worked diligently to complete all of his assignments. Mr. De La Cruz took on my classes as a welcome challenge. Mr. De La Cruz demonstrates hard work and dedication.

This was a great choice because he continued to accelerate at a constant rate and was at the top of his class. He continued to surprise his teachers as he was solving incredibly hard math equations and understanding advanced concepts in science. Even though he was highly intelligent, he often caused mischief. He was constantly getting in trouble with his teachers and after a good talk with his father, he became slightly more obedient.
His performance was beyond my expectations. From the very first day he got involved into the work and took great care in learning from the literature provided to him, what most students consider a laborious and dull task and hastily want hands-on action, Kushank took immense patience and imbibed the pre-requisites very efficiently before delving further into the research. This reflects his great commitment and honesty towards the task he is assigned to. Not only he successfully completed his project on time but displayed a keen research aptitude for advanced research beyond the scope of this project. In every team meeting, I used to ask him about his progress and most of the times he was at par with my expectations.
When he was 11 years old, he began to study in a school whose main focus was the study of exact sciences. This was a sign of having a keen interest in science and mathematics,
He gained a lot of knowledge and was thankful that he could be a part of this to contribute to science. Though he learned
The lesson focus: Using unit of measurements was carefully planned considering students differing levels of interest, motivation and learn in various ways. Pedagogical approaches embedded were: Problem solving/inquiry teaching, reflective practice and planning for relationships/peer learning. (Findlay, 2014). The learning throughout the lesson was structured progressively, to ensure all students move through the learning and investigation at their level. This approach resonates with ‘Piaget’s theory’, of Stages of Cognitive Development, which resonates with the belief that students should move progressively through stages without skipping any stages. The ‘explicit teaching’ approach combined with the inquiry teaching was instrumental in providing clear learning and behaviour expectations for all students. Effective clear instruction assists learners to assimilate and process new information. (Satto, 1997). This was also designed to promote respectful on- task behaviour to maximise all learning opportunities for all students.
During this semester, I was able to perceive her positive attitudes for this course. Whenever I gave a talk about general concepts and important procedures to carrying out experiment, she has tried to understand and perform experiment delicately by asking questions.
Truong put this skillset to work in order to achieve the grade he has. Along with Truong undeniable talent, Truong has always been a joy to work with, Truong is a true team player, and alway manage to foster positive discussions and bring out the best in other classmate. In all the time that Truong spend with his classmate either it in class learning or on a learning field trip he always there learning with the other student sharing fact and he show the same energy from a field trip to a class trip, for example Truong he excelled at the World War II topic and when we visit the World War II Museum he knew most of artifact in there and would share his knowledge on the topic and we all would be amaze of how much he
Even though he was not the most successful on exams I valued that William continued to try and he would seek out help during class. A large summative assessment of this quarter was a lab report about the enthalpy of combustion of alcohols experiment that was carried out in the laboratory. William did well in cooperating with his lab partner to complete the experiment but he did not submit a lab report with the data and evaluation of the results. To be more successful in his science courses William needs to apply more effort outside of the classroom and make sure he completes all of the assessments for the
He has made more of an effort to solve sample problems in class, but often does not attempt the practice problems students are asked to do outside of class. To be successful, he will need to make more effort to practice chemistry. Reading the text before we start topics in class could also be beneficial for him as well. He has shown a strong interest in lab experiments and able to follow most directions independently while performing the labs. Nirvaan Daruka -
...o listen carefully to ensure that kids are discussing scientific ideas, not socializing. The teacher's role is to ensure that students achieve their primary goal: meaningful understanding of scientific concepts. The practices described in this article help bring this about in several ways. When instruction centers on students and focuses on hands-on experience with scientific phenomena, science class becomes an exciting place. When instruction concentrates on the investigation of current problems and issues through scientific inquiry, science class becomes a relevant and meaningful place. When instruction emphasizes the development of communication skills, science class becomes an invaluable place for preparing children to tackle the challenges of adulthood. And the education community owes it to its students to assess their academic progress fairly and accurately.
