“Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl” is a good book. It's a great book to teach and learn about. Although sometimes it's not as interesting. It's not as interesting because we read about Anne Frank a lot and sometimes we read the same thing over and over again. Still, in my opinion Mr. Godinez should teach Anne Frank next year.
Anne Frank is a very famous story. She's famous for the way she wrote and how she was treated in the concentration camps. The reason I like Anne Frank is because even though she was hiding from the Nazis she still learned to live a normal life. In Francine Prose’s article she says “ I quickly became convinced that I was in the presence of a consciously crafted work of literature.” Another

thing Francine Prose said was “ I was enthralled by Anne's vivid descriptions of her adored father, Otto; of her conflicts with her mother, Edith, and her sister, Margot; of her romance with Peter van Pels; and of her irritation with Hermann whom the Franks shared the annex with.
I think many people enjoyed Anne Frank. It was something different to read from Mr. Godinez’s pilot class. Some kids who read Anne Frank might get motivated to be a writer. Others who didn't enjoy Anne Frank might not read it again. I say this meaning not everyone will have the mindset to think alike about an object or person.
Anne shows much emotion in each page of her diary and then notices she could make it as a writer. Even though I like this book others might not enjoy it as I did. In Dana Sachs’s article she asks her son how he felt about the book he answers “Boring, really really boring I thought it would never end. He just seems not to have any affection for Anne Frank. He finally makes his point when he said “There's nothing to feel, they're just sitting in an attic for the whole book and then it ends.
Against the statement I still think Anne Frank is a great book. The book helps others know about the Holocaust. It also helps others be descriptive when they are writing. I think “Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl” is interesting and useful to learn from. Even though there's more book about genocide, there's not one like Anne Frank.
